Bangladesh Mahila Samiti (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ মহিলা সমিতি) is a women's organization in Bangladesh descended from the All Pakistan Women's Association that was originally established by Lady Rana Liaquat Ali (wife of the Prime Minister of Pakistan) in 1948. The Dhaka branch was opened in 1949. The organization works to improve awareness of legal issues, and to fund education and health access for women.

Viqarunnisa Noon School and College (Bengali: ভিকারুননিসা নূন স্কুল এন্ড কলেজ), also known as VNSC, is an all-girls higher secondary school and college in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It has 25,000 students at four campuses in the city. It is named after Viqar un Nisa Noon.

On the night of 29 February 2024, a fire broke out in a seven-storey shopping mall located in the New Bailey Road of Dhaka, Bangladesh, killing 46 people.

Habibullah Bahar College (Bengali: হাবীবুল্লাহ বাহার কলেজ) is a college in Dhaka city, Bangladesh which was founded in 1969. Habibullah Bahar College is located at Shantinagar, at the Dhaka city centre. It is a university college since it now offers honours and master's courses on 27 subjects under the National University. Established on over 1 acre (4,000 m2) of land, there are five multi-storeyed buildings, one twelve-storied building, two eight-storied building, in addition to various other buildings in the compound.

Bangladesh Institute of Science and Technology (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি ইনস্টিটিউট; BIST) is a university-level institution affiliated with the National University, Bangladesh located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.The institute was established in 1999 at Kakrail in Dhaka. The institute is regulated by a governing body consisting of Principal, Head of the Faculty Science and Engineering, Head of the Faculty of Business Studies all within the rules and regulations of National University of Bangladesh.

Stamford University Bangladesh (Bengali: স্টামফোর্ড ইউনিভার্সিটি বাংলাদেশ) is a private university in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established in 2002 under the Private University Act. Before starting as a university, its predecessor institution was known as a Stamford College Group established in 1994, later it was upgraded as private university of Bangladesh in 2002 and appeared as Stamford University Bangladesh. Stamford University is the first ISO certified university in Bangladesh. Stamford University Bangladesh is fully approved by UGC.

Willes Little Flower School and College is one of the three first English medium school in Dhaka, Bangladesh and was established in 1956 by philanthropist Josephine Willes. The school follows the English version under Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education. The school also provides classes under Pearson Edexcel for students who will sit for A-levels. The school also has a Bangla medium sections.

The Siddheshwari Kali Mandir is a Hindu temple located at 14 Siddheshwari Lane in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is unknown how and when the temple was established. It is known that the name of Siddheshwari has come from the temple's name. It is estimated that someone called Chand Rai established this temple. The centre of the temple has valuable statue of "Kali Ma" and the temple was extended with columns. It is situated in a very congested area with narrow roads and crowded with people. Beside Siddheshwari the centre of Malibug is situated. In the courtyard of the temple a "Roktochondon" tree is standing. Near the temple there was an old pond and some old temples. In the temple, festivals are organized. At the time of Sharodio festival the people have placed Puja in front of the statue of Devi Ma for years. The people organize the grand festival of Durga Puja. On the tenth day of worshiping the Hindu people immerse the statue of Devi Ma into the pond. In this way the festivals goes on throughout the year.

Siddheswari Boys' Higher Secondary School (Bengali: সিদ্ধেশ্বরী বালক উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়) is one of the oldest public schools in Dhaka. It was established in 1933. It is in Ramna, one of the most important and largest thanas of Dhaka.

Kotowal is a sculpture of two horsemen on petrol made by Mrinal Haque. It is located in front of the Commissioner of Police's office at road island at the eastern end of Minto Road in Iskaton, Dhaka. The predecessors of the police system in Bangladesh was the law enforcers of the Mughal and British era were called 'Kotowal'. At that time Kotowals used to perform their duties on horseback. The sculpture commemorates and depicts the ancient tradition of law enforcement in Bangladesh.

Razmoni, a now defunct movie theater, known as Razmoni Cinema Hall, was one of the most famous in Dhaka City. The auditorium is located on VIP Road in Kakrail. Freedom fighter Ahsanullah Moni built the Razmoni Theater in Kakrail in 1972 on 24 kathas of land. Another theater named Razia was built next to Razmoni under the same ownership. The 400-seater Razia Auditorium was smaller in size than Razmoni. In addition to the auditorium, the building housed a music and sound recording studio, an image recording studio, a dubbing studio, and an editing panel. Due to the slump in the film business and continued losses, the theater was slated to close in October 2019 and be converted into a commercial building.

The Bangladesh Scouts (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ স্কাউটস) is the national Scouting organization of Bangladesh. Scouting was founded in 1914 in East Bengal, now Bangladesh, as part of the British Indian branch of The Scout Association, and continued as part of the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association until the country's divided sections split in 1971 during the Bangladesh Liberation War. Following its independence, in 1972, the Bangladesh Boy Scout Association was officially formed as successor of the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association. Bangladesh became an independent member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1974. The organization changed its name to "Bangladesh Scouts" in 1978. The organization has 1,474,460 members as of 2015.
