Siddheswari Boys' High School

The Siddheshwari Kali Mandir is a Hindu temple located at 14 Siddheshwari Lane in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is unknown how and when the temple was established. It is known that the name of Siddheshwari has come from the temple's name. It is estimated that someone called Chand Rai established this temple. The centre of the temple has valuable statue of "Kali Ma" and the temple was extended with columns. It is situated in a very congested area with narrow roads and crowded with people. Beside Siddheshwari the centre of Malibug is situated. In the courtyard of the temple a "Roktochondon" tree is standing. Near the temple there was an old pond and some old temples. In the temple, festivals are organized. At the time of Sharodio festival the people have placed Puja in front of the statue of Devi Ma for years. The people organize the grand festival of Durga Puja. On the tenth day of worshiping the Hindu people immerse the statue of Devi Ma into the pond. In this way the festivals goes on throughout the year.

Dr. Sirajul Islam Medical College (SIMC) (Bengali: ডা. সিরাজুল ইসলাম মেডিকেল কলেজ) is a private medical school in Bangladesh, established in 2011. It is located in Maghbazar, Dhaka. It is affiliated with University of Dhaka as a constituent college. It offers a five-year course of study leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. A one-year internship after graduation is compulsory for all graduates. The degree is recognised by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council.

Stamford University Bangladesh (Bengali: স্টামফোর্ড ইউনিভার্সিটি বাংলাদেশ) is a private university in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established in 2002 under the Private University Act. Before starting as a university, its predecessor institution was known as a Stamford College Group established in 1994, later it was upgraded as private university of Bangladesh in 2002 and appeared as Stamford University Bangladesh. Stamford University is the first ISO certified university in Bangladesh. Stamford University Bangladesh is fully approved by UGC.

Bangladesh Mahila Samiti (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ মহিলা সমিতি) is a women's organization in Bangladesh descended from the All Pakistan Women's Association that was originally established by Lady Rana Liaquat Ali (wife of the Prime Minister of Pakistan) in 1948. The Dhaka branch was opened in 1949. The organization works to improve awareness of legal issues, and to fund education and health access for women.

Malibagh is the name of a neighborhood in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It is under Shahjahanpur Thana. The word 'mali' means gardener and the word 'bagh' means garden. Thus, the literal meaning of 'Malibagh' is gardener's garden or neighborhood. It is a densely populated area near Maghbazar. This area is occupied with many business shops, markets, offices, schools, and colleges. It is one of the busiest traffic spots of Dhaka City.

Bangladesh Institute of Science and Technology (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি ইনস্টিটিউট; BIST) is a university-level institution affiliated with the National University, Bangladesh located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.The institute was established in 1999 at Kakrail in Dhaka. The institute is regulated by a governing body consisting of Principal, Head of the Faculty Science and Engineering, Head of the Faculty of Business Studies all within the rules and regulations of National University of Bangladesh.

Habibullah Bahar College (Bengali: হাবীবুল্লাহ বাহার কলেজ) is a college in Dhaka city, Bangladesh which was founded in 1969. Habibullah Bahar College is located at Shantinagar, at the Dhaka city centre. It is a university college since it now offers honours and master's courses on 27 subjects under the National University. Established on over 1 acre (4,000 m2) of land, there are five multi-storeyed buildings, one twelve-storied building, two eight-storied building, in addition to various other buildings in the compound.

The Moghbazar explosion took place on 27 June 2021 at the wireless gate of Moghbazar in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. At least 7 people were killed and more than 100 injured, out of whom 66 were admitted to various hospitals. Police suspect the incident was caused by frozen gas.

Kotowal is a sculpture of two horsemen on petrol made by Mrinal Haque. It is located in front of the Commissioner of Police's office at road island at the eastern end of Minto Road in Iskaton, Dhaka. The predecessors of the police system in Bangladesh was the law enforcers of the Mughal and British era were called 'Kotowal'. At that time Kotowals used to perform their duties on horseback. The sculpture commemorates and depicts the ancient tradition of law enforcement in Bangladesh.
