Bailey road is a well-known thoroughfare in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. It is a classic road in Dhaka. It runs through Shantinagar, connecting the Kakrail-Ramna road with the Siddheshwari junction. It is generally regarded as one of the classier areas of the city. The bailey road is considered as two distinct roads, one after another, they are the new baily road and the Baily road. Bangladesh Mahila Samiti (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ মহিলা সমিতি) is a women's organization in Bangladesh descended from the All Pakistan Women's Association that was originally established by Lady Rana Liaquat Ali (wife of the Prime Minister of Pakistan) in 1948. The Dhaka branch was opened in 1949. The organization works to improve awareness of legal issues, and to fund education and health access for women.

Ad-din Women's Medical College (AWMC) (Bengali: আদ-দ্বীন মহিলা মেডিকেল কলেজ) is a private medical college in Bangladesh, exclusively for female students, established in 2008. It is located in Maghbazar, Dhaka. It is affiliated with Dhaka University as a constituent college. It offers a five-year course of study leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. A one-year internship after graduation is compulsory for all graduates. The degree is recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC)

The Dhaka School of Economics (DScE) (Bengali: ঢাকা স্কুল অব ইকোনমিকস) is an undergraduate and postgraduate institution of the University of Dhaka. DScE was founded in April 2010, following the model of the London School of Economics, to promote higher studies and research in economics and related subjects. Its goal is to accommodate the fast-growing demand for well-trained economists and professionals in related subjects, to contribute to teaching, research and evaluation, policymaking and implementation of nation-building programs. DscE has developed a Socio-Economic Data Bank to accomplish this goal.

Foreign Service Academy is a training academy for foreign service officers of the Bangladesh Civil Service under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Moghbazar explosion took place on 27 June 2021 at the wireless gate of Moghbazar in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. At least 7 people were killed and more than 100 injured, out of whom 66 were admitted to various hospitals. Police suspect the incident was caused by frozen gas.
