The National Board of Revenue (NBR) (Bengali: জাতীয় রাজস্ব বোর্ড) is the central authority for tax administration in Bangladesh. It is under the Internal Resource Division of Ministry of Finance. NBR is the authority for tax policies and tax laws in Bangladesh. NBR collects almost 97% of tax revenue and almost 85% of total revenue for the Government of Bangladesh.

The Bangladesh Scouts (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ স্কাউটস) is the national Scouting organization of Bangladesh. Scouting was founded in 1914 in East Bengal, now Bangladesh, as part of the British Indian branch of The Scout Association, and continued as part of the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association until the country's divided sections split in 1971 during the Bangladesh Liberation War. Following its independence, in 1972, the Bangladesh Boy Scout Association was officially formed as successor of the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association. Bangladesh became an independent member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1974. The organization changed its name to "Bangladesh Scouts" in 1978. The organization has 1,474,460 members as of 2015.

Willes Little Flower School and College is one of the three first English medium school in Dhaka, Bangladesh and was established in 1956 by philanthropist Josephine Willes. The school follows the English version under Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education. The school also provides classes under Pearson Edexcel for students who will sit for A-levels. The school also has a Bangla medium sections.

Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh, widely known as IDEB is a professional organization for Diploma Engineers and Diploma Architects in Bangladesh, which was established on 8 November 1970.The aim of this organization is to make a union among diploma holders who are working in field level of different engineering & technological service in different capacities. IDEB is a multidisciplinary organization which is dedicated in developing the knowledge, understanding and practice for diploma holders in different engineering branch. IDEB also has 11 members of advisory council.

Segunbagicha (Bengali: সেগুনবাগিচা, romanised: Shegunbagicha), also sometimes unofficially spelt as Shegunbagicha or Segun Bagicha, is a major residential and semi-bureaucratic neighbourhood in south-central Dhaka. The neighbourhood is one of the important areas of Dhaka featuring a large number of government and residential complexes. It acts as a bridge between the major thanas of Ramna, Shahbagh, Dhanmondi, Paltan and Motijheel, and is located in the crossroads of Ramna, Shahbag and Paltan thanas. Segunbagicha hosts a large number of middle-class, upper-middle class and affluent people, as a result, this neighbourhood is bustling with high-rise buildings, mostly residential but some government and corporate buildings too. Segunbagicha is a centre of government office building and institutions including the headquarters of The Directorate General of National Security Intelligence, Anti-Corruption Commission (commonly known as duduk; দুদক), Motsho Bhobon (building of Department of Fisheries), Bangladesh Secretariat, the International Mother Language Institute, Liberation War Museum, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, the Public Works Department, the Bangladesh Department of Architecture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as several tax zones.

There is also a Diocese of Dhaka (and a Bishop of Dhaka) in the united Church of Bangladesh. The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Dhaka (Latin: Archidioecesis Dhakensis) is the Latin, main Metropolitan Metropolitan diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Bangladesh, but no longer the only one. It still depends on the missionary Roman Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples. The archdiocese's Marian mother church and thus seat of its archbishop is St. Mary's Cathedral in the national capital Dhaka. As senior Metropolitan in Bangladesh, it is the principal episcopal see of that country. As of 2020 the Archbishop of Dhaka is Bejoy Nicephorus D'Cruze, formerly Bishop of Sylhet, having been appointed by Pope Francis in September 2020.

Habibullah Bahar College (Bengali: হাবীবুল্লাহ বাহার কলেজ) is a college in Dhaka city, Bangladesh which was founded in 1969. Habibullah Bahar College is located at Shantinagar, at the Dhaka city centre. It is a university college since it now offers honours and master's courses on 27 subjects under the National University. Established on over 1 acre (4,000 m2) of land, there are five multi-storeyed buildings, one twelve-storied building, two eight-storied building, in addition to various other buildings in the compound.

St. Mary's Cathedral also called Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is a religious building belonging to the Catholic Church and located in the Kakrail, Ramna Road, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established in 1956 and his feast is celebrated on December 8. It belongs to the Roman or Latin rite and is home to the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Dhaka (Latin: Archidioecesis Dhakensis; Bengali: ঢাকার বিশপের এলাকা). It is one of two cathedrals located in the city, the other being dedicated to St. Thomas and belonging to the Anglican Church. Its Metropolitan Archbishop is Patrick D'Rozario. It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary in her title of the Immaculate Conception.

Archbishop House (Bengali: আর্চ বিশপ হাউস) also known as Kakrail Church is an architecturally significant residence and church situated in Kakrail, Ramna Thana, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was first built in 1925, with a chapel on the east end. It had evolved 1947 in Lakkibazar (Puran Dhaka) and in 1957 it transferred to Kakrail. The present church was renovated in 1976. There are Gothic and Renaissance motifs inside and outside the structure and it is considered to be a fine example of post colonial fusion architecture. The Daily Star reported in 2009 that official listing as a national heritage site was imminent, but six years later the Department of Archaeology was still preparing the list of buildings to be preserved.The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Dhaka is the only archdiocese in Bangladesh. Archbishop Patrick D'Rozario, CSC, D.D currently resides. East of the house, within the same compound, lies St. Mary's Cathedral, built in 1956. Fr. Gabriel Corraya is parish priest of St. Mary's Cathedral. St. Joseph's Seminary is also situated in the same boundary. Fr. Milton D. Corraya is the rector of the seminary and spiritual rector is Fr. Jyoti A. Gomes. Two graves lie at the front of Archbishop House, containing the bodies of Archbishop Theotonius Amal Ganguly and Archbishop Michael Rozario.

Bangladesh Institute of Science and Technology (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি ইনস্টিটিউট; BIST) is a university-level institution affiliated with the National University, Bangladesh located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.The institute was established in 1999 at Kakrail in Dhaka. The institute is regulated by a governing body consisting of Principal, Head of the Faculty Science and Engineering, Head of the Faculty of Business Studies all within the rules and regulations of National University of Bangladesh.

Ramna (Bengali: রমনা) is a historic colonial neighborhood in central Dhaka. Once the site of Mughal gardens, it developed into an institutional area during British rule in the late 19th century. It became a focal point for Dhaka's modernization in the 1960s . It was the scene of many tumultuous events that ushered the independence of Bangladesh in 1971. The Ramna Park (also known as Ramna Green) is the largest park in Dhaka, seen being akin to Calcutta's Maidan, London's Hyde Park and New York's Central Park. The Suhrawardy Udyan (formerly the Ramna Race Course Maidan) is the second largest park in Dhaka. The annual parades and concerts of the Bengali New Year take place in Ramna. Ramna hosts the University of Dhaka, the Bangladesh Supreme Court, the Dhaka High Court, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CIRDAP, the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh headquarter, the InterContinental Dhaka hotel, the Dhaka Club, the Bangladesh National Museum, the Bangla Academy, the International Mother Language Institute, the Dhaka Medical College, BIRDEM Hospital, the British Council Dhaka, the Faculty of Fine Arts, the Shaheed Minar, the official residences of the Bangladeshi ministers and official state guest houses.

International Mother Language Institute (IMLI) is statutory body in Bangladesh whose function is the preservation of languages.
