Łazy

Gmina Łazy is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Zawiercie County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. Its seat is the town of Łazy, which lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) south of Zawiercie and 35 km (22 mi) north-east of the regional capital Katowice. The gmina covers an area of 132.56 square kilometres (51.2 sq mi), and as of 2019 its total population is 15,923. The gmina contains part of the protected area called Eagle Nests Landscape Park.

Stadion 1000-lecia Państwa Polskiego (English: 1000th-Anniversary of Polish State Stadium) is a multi-use stadium in Zawiercie, Poland. The stadium has a capacity of 1500 people and was opened in 1966. The stadium is a home for Warta Zawiercie.

The county covers an area of 1,003.27 square kilometres (387.4 sq mi). As of 2019 its total population was 118,020. The most populated towns are Zawiercie with 49,334 inhabitants and Poręba with 8,525 inhabitants.

The town has the area of 40 km2 (15 sq mi), and lies along National Road Nr. 78; it also has a rail station on a line from Miasteczko Śląskie to Zawiercie. Almost half of Poręba's area (49%) is covered by forests.

It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) south of Włodowice, 3 km (2 mi) north-east of Zawiercie, and 43 km (27 mi) north-east of the regional capital Katowice.
