Burlington Center Mall

Green Hill Farm was a 2,000-acre (8.1 km2) horse farm in Burlington Township, Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The land was owned and operated by families out of Burlington and Philadelphia. First, Green Hill was owned by Samuel Jennings, the acting Governor of West Jersey. Jennings purchased the property in 1681 and gave it the name Green Hill. It is possible that he named it after Green Hill near Kenilworth, Evesham in Worcester, England though there is not conclusive proof of this. In 1791, John Smith bought 340 acres (1.4 km2) of the Jennings property. The famous brick house located there was built between 1800 and 1803. The frame tenant house was the home of various families to work on the farm. The 9.5 acres that remain of Green Hill was purchased by Stephen and Helen Matlaga in 1973. The Matlagas and their extended family painstakingly restored the main house along with two tenant houses and converted the 1867 barn into a medical office. Dr. Stephen Matlaga still owns and operates Green Hill Chiropractic out of this space.

Burlington Township is a township in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is a suburb of Philadelphia and is part of the South Jersey region of the state. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 23,983, its highest decennial count ever and an increase of 1,389 (+6.1%) from the 2010 census count of 22,594, which in turn reflected an increase of 2,300 (+11.3%) from the 20,294 counted in the 2000 census. The township, and all of Burlington County, is a part of the Philadelphia-Reading-Camden combined statistical area and the Delaware Valley.

Peachfield is located in Westampton Township, Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. The house was built in 1725 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 19, 1973. The house is owned by The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of New Jersey and is operated as a historic house museum that is open for special events and by appointment.

Westampton is a township in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 9,121, an increase of 308 (+3.5%) from the 2010 census count of 8,813, which in turn reflected an increase of 1,596 (+22.1%) from the 7,217 counted in the 2000 census. The township, and all of Burlington County, is a part of the Philadelphia-Reading-Camden combined statistical area and the Delaware Valley.Westampton was incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 6, 1850, from portions of Northampton Township (now known as Mount Holly Township). Portions of the township were taken to form Eastampton Township on February 11, 1880. Its name derives from its original location in the western portion of what was Northampton Township.The township is the home of the National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office serving the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

Burlington Township High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grades from Burlington Township in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operating as part of the Burlington Township School District. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,187 students and 102.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.6:1. There were 185 students (15.6% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 45 (3.8% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

As of the 2021–22 school year, the district, comprised of four schools, had an enrollment of 3,625 students and 328.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.0:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "FG", the fourth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. The Burlington County Institute of Technology Westampton Campus (more commonly known as Westampton Tech) is a four-year countywide vocational-technical public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades from Burlington County, New Jersey, United States, as part of the Burlington County Institute of Technology. Located in Westampton, the campus is one of two high schools in the district, along with the Medford campus. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,254 students and 84.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.9:1. There were 274 students (21.9% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 95 (7.6% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

The Burlington County Special Services School District is a special education public school district headquartered in Westampton, in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, whose schools offer educational and therapeutic services for students of elementary and high school age from across the county who have emotional of physical disabilities that cannot be addressed by their sending districts. The Burlington County Special Services School District was established in 1972 by the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders. At first the district served 30 disabled students, but grew within five years to accommodate 500 students from 40 sending school districts in the county. A newly constructed campus for the school was built in Westampton, starting use in January 1983. In 1990, the district opened a high school for at-risk students in Lumberton Township and a K-8 campus was opened the following year in Willingboro Township to help teach students how to overcome their disabilities.As of the 2021–22 school year, the district, comprised of three schools, had an enrollment of 467 students and 114.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 4.1:1.

The Burlington County Library (BCLS) is a public library system that serves 37 out of the 40 municipalities of Burlington County, New Jersey. The central headquarters is in Westampton. The library collection contains approximately 770,000 volumes, and its annual circulation was 1.8 million in 2005. The libraries of Moorestown, Mount Laurel, and Willingboro are not affiliated with the Burlington County Library System. The mission of the Burlington County Library System is to enrich lives by providing opportunities for learning, growth and personal development.

Rancocas State Park is a 1,252 acres (5.07 km2) protected area designated as a state park located in Hainesport Township and Westampton Township, Burlington County, New Jersey in the United States. Established in 1965, it is overseen and operated by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry. The park is located along the North Branch of the Rancocas Creek and an extensive freshwater tidal marsh.

Assiscunk Creek is a tributary of the Delaware River in southwestern New Jersey in the United States.The name Assiscunk (also spelled Assiscunke or Essiscunk) came from the Lenape language meaning "muddy creek". Other names were Wissahisk River, Birch Creek, and Barracks Creek. Assiscunk Creek is approximately 17-mile (27 km) long, and drains an area of approximately 60 square miles (160 km2) of Burlington County, New Jersey. It originates in Springfield Township, and soon forms the border between Springfield Township and Mansfield Township. It is fed by Annaricken Brook, and then by Crafts Creek just at the U.S. Route 206 crossing. Assiscunk Branch and Barkers Brook enter between U.S. Route 206 and the New Jersey Turnpike crossing. The creek begins to widen on the outskirts of Burlington City, where it empties into the Delaware River. Wetlands along the creek are habitats for many species, among them the bog turtle, which is considered a threatened and endangered species. The creek is designated as suboptimal under Habitat Analysis, and has moderately impaired waters, a major improvement from recent decades when the river was designated as severely impaired or having marginal habitat conditions.Pollution is a problem for the Assiscunk Creek, and much of this comes from non-point sources. The land around the creek is mostly agricultural, but there are areas of urban surfaces and forest as well. Assiscunk Creek is still an impaired river, but has improved greatly in recent years thanks to hard efforts to stop the pollution.

Timbuctoo is an unincorporated community in Westampton Township, Burlington County, New Jersey. Located along the Rancocas Creek, Timbuctoo was settled by formerly enslaved and free Black people, beginning in 1826. It includes Church St., Blue Jay Hill Road, and adjacent areas. At its peak in the mid-nineteenth century, Timbuctoo had more than 125 residents, a school, an AME Zion Church, and a cemetery. The key remaining evidence of this community is the cemetery on Church Street, which was formerly the site of Zion Wesleyan Methodist Episcopal African Church. Some current residents are descendants of early settlers.
