Isola della Bocca Lighthouse (Italian: Faro di Isola della Bocca) is an active lighthouse located on a small islet, at the southern entrance of the outer Port of Olbia, 250 metres (820 ft) from the mainland, in the municipality of Olbia on the Tyrrhenian Sea.

San Teodoro (Gallurese: Santu Diadòru, Sardinian: Santu Tiadòru) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Sassari in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 180 kilometres (110 mi) northeast of Cagliari and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) southeast of Olbia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,565 and an area of 104.8 square kilometres (40.5 sq mi).The municipality of San Teodoro contains several frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets), among which: La Suarédda, Monti Pitrosu, Straula, Budditogliu, La Traversa, Lu Fraili, and Lu Sitagliacciu. San Teodoro borders the following municipalities: Budoni, Loiri Porto San Paolo, Padru, Torpè. The beach of "La Cinta" was home of the kite boarding festival in September 2010. The beach of "Lu Impostu" is also known as Little Tahiti due to the beautiful colours of the sea.

Tavolara is a small island off the northeast coast of Sardinia, Italy. The island is a limestone massif 5 kilometres (3 miles) long and 1 kilometre (0.6 miles) wide, with steep cliffs except at its ends. Its highest point, Monte Cannone, is 565 metres (1,854 feet) above sea level. A cove and beach can be found at each end of the island, Spalmatore di Fuori at the northeast, and Spalmatore di Terra at the southwest. Currently, the island is inhabited by only a handful of families, and has a small cemetery and summer restaurant. The water around the island is a popular spot for scuba diving. The nearest sizable town is Olbia, and the small fishing village of Porto San Paolo is directly across a small strait. The islands of Molara and Molarotto are nearby. Most of the population of the island was displaced in 1962 when a NATO radiogoniometric station was constructed on the eastern half of the island. The aerials from the station can be seen from quite a distance, and that entire half of the island is restricted to military personnel. Tavolara is also home of the VLF-transmitter ICV, which works on 20.27 kHz and 20.76 kHz and which is used for transmitting messages to submarines. It can also be received (but not decoded) by PCs with a coil antenna at the soundcard entrance and FFT-analysis software. The island and the surrounding waters are part of the Tavolara and Punta Coda Cavallo Marine Preserve created in 1997. The environmental protections placed on the park have added restrictions to the use of the area for tourism. A natural column of rock on the island's coast resembles a human figure and is known as "the Stone Sentry" or "Pope's Rock." Other stone formations include "Ulysses' Bow" (a natural arch) and the "Grotta del Papa" (a cave accessible by sea and boasting Neolithic cave paintings).

Molara is an island in north-eastern Sardinia and constitutes, together with the island of Tavolara, Molarotto, the peninsula of Punta Coda Cavallo and other minor rocks, a protected marine park. Of a granite nature, it has an area of 3,411 km² and reaches, with Punta la Guardia, 158 m u.s.l. Its name, of medieval origin, is probably due to the rounded and uniform shape of the island, similar to a millstone (in Italian, mola).

The Costa Smeralda (Italian: [ˈkɔsta zmeˈralda], lit. 'Emerald Coast'; Gallurese: Monti di Mola; Sardinian: Montes de Mola) is a coastal area and tourist destination in northern Sardinia, Italy, with a length of some 20 km, although the term originally designated only a small stretch in the commune of Arzachena. With white sand beaches, golf clubs, private jet and helicopter services, and exclusive hotels, the area has drawn celebrities, business and political leaders, and other affluent visitors. Costa Smeralda is one of the most expensive locations in Europe. House prices reach up to 300,000 euros ($392,200) per square meter. The main towns and villages in the area, built according to a detailed urban plan, are Porto Cervo, Liscia di Vacca, Capriccioli, and Romazzino. Archaeological sites include the necropolis of Li Muri. Each September the Sardinia Cup sailing regatta is held off the coast. Polo matches are held between April and October at Gershan near Arzachena. Development of the area started in 1961, and was financed by a consortium of companies led by Prince Karim Aga Khan. Spiaggia del Principe, one of the beaches along the Costa Smeralda, was named after this Ishmaelite prince. Architects involved in the project included Michele Busiri Vici, Jacques Couëlle, Savin Couëlle, and Vietti.

Porto Ottiolu is a private marina and a tourist destination located in the commune of Budoni, Province of Sassari, Sardinia, Italy, on Tyrrhenian Sea, some 35 km south of Olbia. In the past the area was known because there the legions of the Roman commander "Brizio" defeated the bloodthirsty "Sheriff of Porto Ottiolu".

Gallura (Gallurese: Gaddura or Gaddhura [ɡaˈɖːura]; Sardinian: Caddura [kaˈɖːuɾa]) is a region in North-Eastern Sardinia, Italy. The name Gallùra is allegedly supposed to mean "stony area".

Yacht Club Costa Smeralda was established by the Aga Khan in 1967. It is situated at Porto Cervo in Costa Smeralda, northern Sardinia and provides services for recreational sailors. The club challenged for the 1983 America's Cup with Azzurra in Newport, Rhode Island, coming third. In 1984, it hosted the World 12-Metre Class championship, and in 1987 challenged for the America's Cup with Azzurra '87 off Fremantle, Western Australia. The club was chosen by the Royal Perth Yacht Club as the Challenger of Record for the 1987 edition.

Porto Cervo (Italian pronunciation: [ˈpɔrto ˈtʃɛrvo]; lit. 'Deer's Port') is an Italian seaside resort in northern Sardinia. It is a frazione of the comune of Arzachena, in the province of Sassari. Created by a group of foreign investors around the early 1960s, Porto Cervo is the main centre of Costa Smeralda. It has a resident population of 421 inhabitants. Porto Cervo has been named one of the most expensive resorts in the world, along as being a luxury yacht magnet and billionaires' playground.

Budoni (Gallurese: Budùni, Sardinian: Budùne) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Sassari in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 170 kilometres (110 mi) northeast of Cagliari and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southeast of Olbia. As of 31 December 2014, it had a population of 5,125 and an area of 55.9 square kilometres (21.6 sq mi).The municipality of Budoni contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Agrustos (Gall.), Berruiles (Gall.), Birgalavò (Gall.), Limpiddu (Log.), Li Troni (Gall.), Ludduì (Gall.), Lu Linnalvu (Gall.), Luttuni (Gall.), Lutturai (Gall.), Maiorca (Gall.), Malamurì (Gall.), Muriscuvò (Log.), Nuditta (Gall.), Ottiolu (Gall.), San Gavino (Log.), San Lorenzo (Log.), San Pietro (Gall.), San Silvestro (Gall.), S'Iscala (Log.), Solità (Log.), Strugas (Gall.), Tanaunella (Log.), and Tamarispa (Log.). Budoni borders the following municipalities: Posada, San Teodoro, Torpè.
