Eppleworth

Hull Reform Synagogue, also known as Ne've Shalom, is a Reform Jewish community based in Willerby near Kingston upon Hull in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. A member of the Movement for Reform Judaism, the community was founded in 1966. Services were held in people's homes, at the civic hall in Cottingham and in a Methodist hall. A foundation stone for a new synagogue was laid in November 1991, and the first service at Hull Reform Synagogue was held in February 1992.

Skidby is a small village and civil parish in Yorkshire Wolds of the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated about 6 miles (10 km) north-west of Hull city centre, 2.2 miles (3.5 km) west of Cottingham and 5 miles (8 km) south of Beverley. The civil parish contains mainly agricultural land, both in the hills of the wolds and the low-lying land. The civil parish also includes the hamlets of Eppleworth and Raywell. The village is the site of Skidby Windmill, a Grade II* listed building.

Skidby Windmill is a Grade II* listed windmill at Skidby near Beverley, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England.Originally built in 1821, the mill was further extended to its current 5 stories in 1870. It is powered by 4 sails, 11 metres in length, and was in commercial use until 1966. Between 1954 and 1966 the mill was used for grinding animal feedstuff using newly installed electric rollers but also continued producing stoneground flour, too. The mill was sold to the local council in 1969 for £1 and after being renovated was opened in 1974 as a working museum. It is the last working English windmill north of the Humber, producing stoneground wholemeal flour from locally grown wheat. The mill is open to visitors all week, milling takes place from Wednesday to Sunday weather permitting. Adjacent warehouses contain the Museum of East Riding Rural Life, including a famous 'Wolds Wagon' built by P. H. Sissons & Sons, which was originally lent to the Beverley Army Museum of transport. P. H. Sissons & Sons were based at Beswick and built wagons from 1854 onwards. In 2008, work began on the mill to replace some structural members in the cap and fantail. The work involved the 15 ton cap being removed by a crane; the only time that the cap has been removed since the 1870s.Further refurbishment started in late-2019, with the removal of the sails and fantail which were transported to Norfolk for restoration. In July 2020, roof and window repairs were to be undertaken followed by painting of the tower which would take three months to complete. The sails and fantail were to be returned to the mill in early 2021.

Willerby is a village and civil parish located on the western outskirts of the city of Kingston upon Hull in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Willerby was a minor settlement up to the 20th century, during which it became a suburb of Kingston upon Hull, and its urban development extended south-eastwards towards Hull. The village centre is located about five miles (eight kilometres) west of Kingston upon Hull city centre and lies outside the city boundary.

De la Pole Hospital (also known as De la Pole Psychiatric Hospital) was a mental health facility in Willerby, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.

Willerby and Kirk Ella railway station was a station on the Hull and Barnsley Railway, and served the villages of Willerby and Kirk Ella in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The station opened on 27 July 1885. It was located west of the junction of Carr Lane and Main Street, partly on an embankment. The station building was designed in the English domestic revival style. The goods yard with a loop and two sidings served a cattle dock, pens and a coal yard. Kirk Ella limeworks had a private siding branching off the line between Little Weighton and Willerby. The station closed to passengers on 1 August 1955 and to freight on 6 July 1964. It was subsequently demolished and the area redeveloped for housing purposes. A road was built over the track alignment northwest of the station, and a car park southeast of it.

Kirk Ella is a village and civil parish on the western outskirts of Kingston upon Hull, approximately five miles (eight kilometres) west of the city centre, situated in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The parish includes West Ella. Kirk Ella has been a village since at least the 11th century: it remained a relatively unimportant hamlet until the 18th and 19th centuries, when it became a location of choice for merchants of Hull wishing to live outside the city. Several large houses were built during this period, without any substantial increase in village population. After the 1920s, the village grew substantially, with large amounts of high quality housing surrounding the traditional village centre. The village continued to grow during the second half of the 20th century, becoming a large suburb, contiguous with Anlaby and Willerby. The civil parish is called "Kirk Ella and West Ella".

Haltemprice is an area in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, directly to the west of Hull. Originally an extra-parochial area, it became a civil parish in 1858, in 1935 it was expanded by the combination of the urban districts of Cottingham, Anlaby, and Sculcoates to form a new urban district; the district included the villages of Anlaby, Cottingham, Hessle, Kirk Ella, Skidby, West Ella and Willerby. Urban districts were abolished 1974. As of 2012 Haltemprice gives its name to the Haltemprice and Howden (UK Parliament constituency), and the East Riding of Yorkshire Council run 'Haltemprice Leisure Centre' in Anlaby.

West Ella is a small village in the civil parish of Kirk Ella west of Kirk Ella settlement, within the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, on the eastern edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, approximately 6 miles (10 km) west of the city of Kingston upon Hull. The village lies on West Ella Road, between Kirk Ella and Swanland – it was beautified by the owners the Sykes family in the 19th century, and as a consequence much of the area is now a conservation area, with many listed buildings. In the two decades after the end of the Second World War the village expanded, more than doubling the housing stock, mainly high quality detached dwellings, with much of the new housing along an additional road, Elveley Drive, running north. West Ella is considered to be one of the most exclusive and desirable villages to live in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Risby is the site of a deserted village and former stately home in the civil parish of Rowley in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is approximately 3.5 miles (5.6 km) south-west of Beverley and 1 mile (1.6 km) west of the A164 road.The area has an open partially wooded parkland, once one of the largest deer parks in Yorkshire, that is popular with local walkers. It also includes Risby Park, a farm, the Folly Lake Cafe. There are several fishponds in the ornamental lakes of the former hall, which have been operated as coarse fishing locations since 1990. The site also has an octagonal brick folly that is designated Grade II.

Wolfreton School & Sixth Form College is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Willerby, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. During Ofsted's school inspection in October 2021, Wolfreton School and Sixth Form received "Good" ratings in all inspect sections.
