Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery

The Po Fook Hill Elevator is a funicular railway located inside the Po Fook Hill Ancestral Hall (Chinese: 寶福山) in Sha Tin, Hong Kong. The system has two stations and a single car built by Gangloff of Switzerland; the car can accommodate 10 (6 seated passengers on two wooden benches and 4 standees) and is free of charge. The car uses lift buttons operated by the passengers in the car and intercom to provide communication if there are operating issues.

The Sha Tin District Council is the district council for the Sha Tin District in Hong Kong. It is one of 18 such councils. The Sha Tin District Council currently consists of 42 members, of which the district is divided into four constituencies, electing a total of 8 members, 16 district committee members, 17 appointed members, and one ex officio member who is the Sha Tin rural committee chairman. The latest election was held on 10 December 2023.

Grand Central Plaza (Chinese: 新城市中央廣場) is a commercial development located near the town centre of Sha Tin, Hong Kong. It comprises two 16-storey office towers atop a multi-storey shopping podium called HomeSquare which specialises in home decor and furnishings. It is owned by Sun Hung Kai Properties, which also owns the nearby New Town Plaza, and was completed in 1995.

Tao Fong Shan (Chinese: 道風山), officially known as To Fung Shan, is a hill with a height of 130 metres (430 ft). It is in Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong. A road called To Fung Shan Road leads to the summit, where a Christian Centre can be found.

Pai Tau Village (traditional Chinese: 排頭村; simplified Chinese: 排头村) is a village located in Sha Tin, Hong Kong.

Citylink Plaza is a building that stands above Sha Tin station on the MTR East Rail line in Hong Kong. It was developed and is owned by the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC). The building, as well as the railway station, is connected to New Town Plaza, which is one of the largest shopping centres in Sha Tin District.

Sha Tin station, formerly known as Sha Tin railway station (Chinese: 沙田火車站 or Chinese: 沙田鐵路站) is a station on the East Rail line of Hong Kong's Mass Transit Railway (MTR) system. The station is located in the town centre of Sha Tin. The station was formerly on the main line of the Kowloon–Canton Railway (KCR), but since KCR's merger with the MTR, it belongs to the East Rail line of the MTR. Citylink Plaza, which has a footbridge link to New Town Plaza, is built on top of the station. The station serves two large bus termini with buses going to many places around Hong Kong (such as Sai Kung or Tung Chung). One is on an elevated surface, adjacent to the concourse level. The other is at ground level in New Town Plaza.

Pristine Villa (Chinese: 曉翠山莊) is a private housing estate located on 18 Pak Lok Path in Tao Fong Shan, Sha Tin District, Hong Kong. It was developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties and was completed in 1995.The housing estate consists of 14 tower blocks with heights from 9 to 11 floors and 4 apartments per floor, offering a total of 498 apartments. Facilities for residents include a resident clubhouse with a swimming pool, a car park with 747 parking spaces, and shuttle bus service to New Town Plaza.

Shatin Plaza (Chinese: 沙田廣場) is one of the main private housing estates in Sha Tin Town Centre, Sha Tin District, New Territories, Hong Kong, which is near New Town Plaza Phase I, Lucky Plaza and Shatin Centre. Formerly Sha Tin Hui Bus Terminus (Chinese: 沙田墟巴士總站), it comprises 4 high-rise buildings and a shopping arcade, developed by Henderson Land Development in 1988. Sha Tin station is the main station to interchange from Shatin Plaza (New Town Plaza).

Sha Tin College (STC) is a co-educational international secondary school in Hong Kong and a member of the English Schools Foundation. Established in 1982 as the Shatin Annexe based in the campus of KGV School in Kowloon Tong, the school relocated to 3 Lai Wo Lane, Fo Tan in 1985, adopting its present name.

New Town Plaza is a shopping mall in the town centre of Sha Tin, Hong Kong. Developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties, it was the biggest shopping centre in the New Territories when it was completed in the early 1980s. Covering 200,000 square metres (49.4 acres), the plaza comprises Phase 1 (the main mall) and Phase 3, which are connected to each other, as well as the Grand Central Plaza, which is less than one kilometre from Phase 1. Phase 1 underwent extensive renovation from 2003 to 2008. The nine-storey shopping centre is right next to Sha Tin station and Citylink Plaza. It is one of the busiest shopping malls in Hong Kong. There are many different transportation links to New Town Plaza, such as shuttle services from nearby estates, minibus routes, the MTR station located right within the plaza itself, and so forth.

Sha Tin Junior School (Chinese: 沙田小學) is a primary school run by the English Schools Foundation in Fo Tan, Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong. The school opened in 1988, and the founding principal Gordon Lewis remained in this post until his retirement in 2004. He was subsequently awarded an OBE in recognition of his services to education in Hong Kong. After the Retirement of Mr Lewis, the new assigned principal was Dr Allan Weston who later resigned at the end of the 2008–09 school year to take over the CEO position at Taipei European School in Taiwan. Since June 2009 the principal has been Mr Perry Tunesi. Mr Tunesi retired August 2019 and he is replaced by Mrs Rehana Shanks. The school now has a 5-class entry for each year group with a total of around 900 students. The sports facilities include a swimming pool, a multi-purpose sports hall (with badminton, basketball, volleyball, and climbing facilities), and an Astro-turf pitch, all shared with Sha Tin College. It provides for children from Year One to Year Six, and each class is named by its year group first followed by another number (from 1 to 5) e.g. Y6.2
