Sha Tin Junior School

Sha Tin College (STC) is a co-educational international secondary school in Hong Kong and a member of the English Schools Foundation. Established in 1982 as the Shatin Annexe based in the campus of KGV School in Kowloon Tong, the school relocated to 3 Lai Wo Lane, Fo Tan in 1985, adopting its present name.

Sui Wo Court (Chinese: 穗禾苑) is one of the first estates under Home Ownership Scheme. It is located in Fo Tan, Sha Tin District, Hong Kong. Built in 1980, it is located on a mountain above Wo Che and east of central Fo Tan, northwest of Sha Tin. The court was designed by Palmer and Turner and received a Silver Medal at the 1981 Hong Kong Institute of Architects Annual Awards. The scenery of Sha Tin and Tolo Harbour is visible from the estate.

Chun Yeung Estate (Chinese: 駿洋邨) is a public housing estate in Fo Tan, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is the only public housing estate in Fo Tan, located at the junction of Wong Chuk Yeung Street and Kwei Tei Street. It comprises 5 blocks and 1 shopping centre with total of 4,846 flats. Its name prefix "Chun" means "horse" in English since Sha Tin Racecourse is located in Fo Tan. It was completed in 2020.The estate was planned as Green Form Subsidised Home Ownership Scheme to be sold to public housing tenants. However, concerns were raised that this may impinge on the quota for public rental housing and further lengthen waiting times. Finally, the plan was put aside and the estate was changed to public rental housing.

Tai Po Road is the second longest road in Hong Kong (after Castle Peak Road). It spans from Sham Shui Po in Kowloon to Tai Po in the New Territories of Hong Kong. Initially, the road was named Frontier Road.

The Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery (Chinese: 萬佛寺; pinyin: wàn fó sì; Jyutping: maan6 fat6 zi6) is a mid-20th century Buddhist temple located in Sha Tin, Hong Kong, at 220 Pai Tau Village. Its designation as a monastery is actually a misnomer because there are no monks residing at the complex, which is managed solely by laypersons. Both the main temple building and the pagoda are listed as Grade III historic buildings by the Government of Hong Kong. Groundbreaking and construction of the temple began in 1951 under Yuet Kai and his followers, and the structure was finished six years later. It closed for three years at the end of the 20th century after one of its caretakers was killed in a mudslide caused by poorly-maintained slopes nearby. The main journey up to the monastery is an attraction itself, as the path is lined on both sides with golden Buddhas, each unique and in different poses. Despite the common translation of its name, the monastery actually contains nearly 13,000 Buddha statues.

Fung Wo Estate (Chinese: 豐和邨) is a public housing estate in Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong near Wo Che Estate on the site of the former Sha Tin Police Married Quarters, which was demolished in 2007. The estate consists of three residential blocks completed in 2013.

Shatin Pui Ying College (Chinese: 沙田培英中學), abbreviated as SPYC or PYC, is a Christian school that was established in 1978. Located in Hong Kong, SPYC is an English medium of instruction (EMI) secondary school fully subsidised by the government with 4 classes each for Forms 1 to 5 and 5 classes for Form 6 (in the 2018/19 academic year). The school icon is an eagle symbolising courage and determination.

Kiangsu-Chekiang College (Shatin) (Chinese: 沙田蘇浙公學), abbreviated as KCCS or KCCST, is one of the secondary schools in Sha Tin District, Hong Kong. The school campus is next to Shatin Pui Ying College.

The Po Fook Hill Elevator is a funicular railway located inside the Po Fook Hill Ancestral Hall (Chinese: 寶福山) in Sha Tin, Hong Kong. The system has two stations and a single car built by Gangloff of Switzerland; the car can accommodate 10 (6 seated passengers on two wooden benches and 4 standees) and is free of charge. The car uses lift buttons operated by the passengers in the car and intercom to provide communication if there are operating issues.

Fo Tan Village (Chinese: 火炭村) is a village in the Fo Tan area of Sha Tin District in Hong Kong.

Grand Central Plaza (Chinese: 新城市中央廣場) is a commercial development located near the town centre of Sha Tin, Hong Kong. It comprises two 16-storey office towers atop a multi-storey shopping podium called HomeSquare which specialises in home decor and furnishings. It is owned by Sun Hung Kai Properties, which also owns the nearby New Town Plaza, and was completed in 1995.

The Sha Tin District Council is the district council for the Sha Tin District in Hong Kong. It is one of 18 such councils. The Sha Tin District Council currently consists of 42 members, of which the district is divided into four constituencies, electing a total of 8 members, 16 district committee members, 17 appointed members, and one ex officio member who is the Sha Tin rural committee chairman. The latest election was held on 10 December 2023.
