Alex Fraser Bridge

Annacis Island is a narrow island under the jurisdiction of City of Delta in Lower Mainland, British Columbia, located just downstream of the south arm of the Fraser River bifurcation between Lulu Island to the north and the Delta peninsula to the south. The island is now mostly an industrial zone, and contains one of Metro Vancouver's secondary wastewater treatment plants, the Annacis Island Wastewater Treatment Plant. The island is also home to the British Columbia Institute of Technology's Annacis Island campus.The southern part of the island is connected to Delta via the Alex Fraser Bridge, which is part of Highway 91. Connections northward to Richmond and New Westminster are via smaller bridges on Highway 91. At the eastern end of the island there is also the Annacis Island Swing Bridge which connects the island to the Queensborough neighborhood of New Westminster on the eastern end of Lulu Island. Annacis Island is served by a public bus that connects to 22nd Street Station in New Westminster. The wider part of the Fraser River south of the island is known as Annieville Channel (upstream) and City Reach (downstream), while the more narrow channel north of the island is Annacis Channel. The eastern (upstream) tip of the island is known as Shoal Point, and the western (downstream) tip as Purfleet Point.

Queensborough is a neighbourhood in the city of New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. It is on the eastern tip of Lulu Island on the Fraser River.At the north end of Queensborough is a new development called Port Royal. To the south is Thompson's Landing, to the west is the industrial area of Tree Island, and to the east is the Fraser River. Access to Annacis Island, an industrial park area and site of one of the GVRD's sewage plants, is via a bridge towards the east end of Queensborough, though the island itself is not part of the City of New Westminster.

The Annacis Island Swing Bridge, built in 1986, is a road and rail swing bridge over the Annacis Channel of the Fraser River in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada. The bridge connects the community of Queensborough, part of New Westminster on Lulu Island, to Annacis Island in Delta. It replaced the Derwent Way Bridge built in 1955 at the same location.

The Sungod Recreation Centre is a recreation centre located in Delta, British Columbia. The facility contains 4 pools, a swirl pool, a sauna, a steam room, a weight room, an aerobic studio, and an ice rink. It also hosts swimming lessons including kids, teens, and lifeguard courses.

Queensborough Bridge is a highway bridge in New Westminster, British Columbia. It was built in 1960 by John Laing and Son (Canada) for the City of New Westminster and cost $4 million (equivalent to $37.5 million in 2022). The bridge spans the north arm of the Fraser River for road access from the main part of New Westminster to the suburb of Queensborough at the east end of Lulu Island, giving the bridge its name. It has since become a part of Highway 91A feeder to Highway 91 to the south. The Queensborough was a toll bridge costing 25 cents to cross until the bridge was bought by the provincial government in November 1966. The last person to pay the toll was then Premier W. A. C. Bennett, who paid 25 cents at 12:01 AM on Sunday, November 19, 1966. Six spans of the bridge were demolished and replaced in 1984 and 1985 to allow for a curve alignment on its southern approach to Queensborough Connector. In 2009, the interchange with Marine Way and Stewardson Way saw improving, including the trumpet loop being flipped to its current rotation.

North Delta Secondary is a public high school in Delta, British Columbia, Canada. It is part of School District 37 Delta. North Delta Secondary School, when it was opened in 1957, was originally a secondary school designed to accommodate approximately 550 students. At that time it was the second secondary school in Delta and eliminated the need for students in the north of Delta to commute south to Delta Senior Secondary in Ladner. It housed grade 8 to grade 12 students and continued to be a five-grade secondary school until 1975. In the early 1970s, due to new construction and population increases in the community, Burnsview Junior Secondary and Sands Junior Secondary joined Delview Junior Secondary as the three feeder schools to North Delta. Until the opening of Seaquam Secondary School in the Sunshine Hills area in 1977, all senior secondary students in the North Delta area were graduates of North Delta Secondary School. In October 2003, after two years of major construction and renovation, NDSS had a ribbon-cutting ceremony that officially opened the new North Delta Secondary School. North Delta Secondary School is now capable of carrying an enrollment of 1350 students.The 2004-2005 school year marked the last year of North Delta Senior Secondary. Starting with the 2005-2006 school year, the school became known as North Delta Secondary, with the addition of grade 10s. This was followed with the subsequent addition of grade 8 and 9s in the following year.

22nd Street is an elevated station on the Expo Line of Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit system. It is located on 7th Avenue and 22nd Street in the Connaught Heights neighbourhood of New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. Due to its proximity to the Queensborough interchange, where the Queensborough Bridge meets with Stewardson and Marine Ways, the station serves as a hub for regional bus routes.

Poplar Island is an uninhabited island located at the east end of the northern arm of the Fraser River in the City of New Westminster, British Columbia. It is the last large undiked island in the Fraser River's North Arm.

North Delta (founded as Annieville) is a largely middle-class commuter town situated in the Lower Mainland, of British Columbia, Canada. The community is the most populous of the three communities (North Delta, Ladner, and Tsawwassen) that make up the City of Delta. North Delta is home to numerous parks and recreational opportunities. Alongside North Delta is Burns Bog, the largest raised urban peat bog in North America. As well, Watershed Park provides walking and biking trails, home to many artesian aquifers. Besides this, North Delta is home to a large amount of green-space. As of the 2016 census, North Delta has a population of 56,017.

VirtualSchoolBC is a public school within School District 40 New Westminster. It is funded by the Ministry of Education of British Columbia. Students who complete courses may add them to or complete a graduation plan. VirtualSchoolBC uses BlackBoard Learn to deliver continuous entry courses. It is a member of LearnNowBC.

Don Island is a small uninhabited island in the Fraser River within metropolitan Vancouver, British Columbia, located just east of Annacis Island. While currently devoid of any permanent settlement, between 1901 and the 1940s Don Island and its neighbor Lion Island were home to over 400 Japanese Canadians, who were mainly employed at the Ewen Cannery, which was one of the largest salmon canneries in British Columbia.They were known to the Japanese Canadians as Oikawa-Jima and Sato-Jima. At one point, a 600ft long wharf stood facing the main channel.The majority of these workers left after 1924, to pursue work in other areas of the city. A few families remained throughout the 1930s, but they were all forcibly removed in 1942 and sent to internment camps. The islands have remained uninhabited since, with the rundown ruins of the cannery, the wharf and other buildings all that remains. In 2013, students from SFU conducted a research field-study on Don and Lion Islands, studying the remains of various buildings used by workers at the Ewen Cannery, as well as a Japanese fishing camp.
