Tau Devi Lal Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Sector 3, Panchkula, a satellite town in the outskirts of Chandigarh.It is the home ground of Indian Super League side RoundGlass Punjab FC, together with Guru Nanak Stadium.The ground situated next to Tau Devi Lal Cricket Stadium and consists of a synthetic running track and a football pitch at the center.

The stadium is capable of holding around 7000 spectators and came into picture because of the Indian Cricket League's inaugural Twenty20 tournament. The stadium has been leased by Government of Haryana and has got facilities to hold day-night matches. The outfield is rough and patchy and the pitch is an untested one. The stadium has practice facilities including four batting nets behind the ground all containing concrete pitches to bat on. The ground is yet to host first-class matches. but was one of three venues that was used by Indian Cricket League along with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad and Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium in Hyderabad.

Panchkula district was formed as the 17th district of the Indian state of Haryana on 15 August 1995. It comprises two sub divisions and two tehsils: Panchkula and Kalka. It has 264 villages out of which twelve are un-inhabited and ten wholly merged with towns or treated as census towns according to the 1991 census. There are five towns in the district: Barwala, Kalka, Panchkula, Pinjore and Raipur Rani. The total population of the district is 319,398 out of which 173,557 are males and 145,841 are females. As of the 2011 Census of India, it was the least populous district of Haryana.Panchkula city is the headquarters of this district. Chandimandir Cantonment is located in this district, adjoining the Panchkula Urban Estate.

Panchkula Assembly constituency is one of the 90 assembly seats of Haryana in the Panchkula district of Haryana, India. It is under Ambala (Lok Sabha constituency). It forms a part of a continuous area with the Union Territory of Chandigarh and the city of Mohali.

The National Cactus and Succulent Botanical Garden and Research Centre, known as the Cactus Garden, is a 7 acres (2.8 ha) cactus garden in Sector 5 of Panchkula, Haryana, India , was established in 1987, and is known for its rare and endangered species of Indian succulent plants.

Chandimandir Cantonment is a military cantonment of the Indian Army located in Panchkula district at the foot of the Sivalik Hills adjoining Panchkula city in Haryana. It is the headquarters of the Western Command of the Indian Army.

Chandi Mandir railway station is a small railway station in Panchkula district, Haryana. Its code is CNDM. It serves Chandimandir Cantonment area of Panchkula city. The station consists of three platforms. The platforms are not well sheltered. It lacks many facilities including water and sanitation. Manimajra State was a Sikh kingdom and later jagir (estate) based in the Manimajra area from 1764 to 1875. The area is in the present-day region of Chandigarh. The state had poor relations with Patiala and Nahan states, often warring with them.
