Castagniers (French pronunciation: [kastaɲe]; Occitan: Castanhiers; Italian: Castagnera) is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in southeastern France.

Aspremont (French pronunciation: [aspʁəmɔ̃]; Italian: Aspromonte di Nizza, formerly; Niçard: Aspermùnt) is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southeastern France.

Castagniers Abbey (French: Abbaye Notre-Dame de la Paix de Castagniers) is a Cistercian nunnery, in Castagniers, 12 km from Nice in the Alpes-Maritimes departement in southwestern France. In 1865, Dom Marie-Bernard Barnouin, restorer of Sénanque Abbey, founded a Cistercian community for women in Mane in the diocese of Digne, and in 1869, another in Reillanne, the Abbaye de Notre-Dame des Prés. In 1872 the two communities were united in Reillanne. In 1930 the community left Reillanne to settle in Castagniers. The community was elevated to the rank of an abbey in 1962. The first abbess, Mother Marguerite de la Trinité, saw to it that the place became a chocolate factory, which is still working today. The nuns have a guest house and they welcome guests wishing to make a retreat.

The Falicon pyramid is a monument located at a rural site near the town of Falicon, on the French Riviera, near Nice.It is constructed above a karstic cave known as the "Cave of the Bats" (Occitan: Bauma des Ratapignata) and is one of the few pyramids in Europe. The pyramid is constructed of small, irregularly shaped stones, possesses a fairly acute angle of inclination, and is in a partly ruined condition. While most of its upper section is missing, the lower section is reasonably well preserved. The pyramid's purpose and exact origins are unknown. Though it had been suggested that it may have been constructed by Roman legionaries involved in Egyptian cult practices, more recent research indicated that it was actually built between 1803 and 1812, i.e. during the rule of Napoleon Bonaparte after the 1798-1801 French campaign in Egypt and Syria.

Carros (French pronunciation: [kaʁɔs]; Occitan: Carròs) is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in southeastern France. Carros is one of sixteen villages grouped together by the Métropole Nice Côte d'Azur tourist department as the Route des Villages Perchés (Route of Perched Villages). The others are: Aspremont, Castagniers, Coaraze, Colomars, Duranus, Èze, Falicon, La Gaude, Lantosque, Levens, La Roquette-sur-Var, Saint-Blaise, Saint-Jeannet, Tourrette-Levens and Utelle.

Gattières (French pronunciation: [ɡatjɛʁ]; Occitan: Gatièras) is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in southeastern France.

The Villa Arson, also referred to as the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts à la Villa Arson (National School of Fine Arts at the Villa Arson), is a French art museum, elite school and research institution for contemporary art, located in Nice, France. It is home to the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Nice (National School of Fine Arts of Nice) and the Centre Nationale d'Art Contemporain (National Centre for Contemporary Art), and was created under a ministerial charter in 1972 by the Ministry of Culture.

The canton of Tourrette-Levens (French: Canton de Tourrette-Levens) is an administrative division of the southeastern Alpes-Maritimes department, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Tourrette-Levens. In the 2021 election, MP Éric Ciotti and Rimplas Mayor Christelle D'Intorni of The Republicans were elected. It consists of the following communes:

The Urban community of Nice Côte d'Azur (French: communauté urbaine Nice Côte d'Azur), is the former intercommunal structure gathering the city of Nice (France) and some of its suburbs. It was created in December 2008.The Urban community of Nice Côte d'Azur encompasses essentially the eastern part of the metropolitan area of Nice (see infobox at Nice article for the metropolitan area), the western communes of the metropolitan area around Cannes and Antibes having refused to join in. Those parts of the metropolitan area that are not inside the Community have formed different intercommunal structures, such as: Communauté d'agglomération de Sophia Antipolis, with Antibes and Valbonne in it Communauté d'agglomération du Moyen Pays Provençal Communauté de communes du Pays des Paillons etc.On 1 January 2012, the urban community and three communities of communes merged becoming the Metropolis Nice Côte d'Azur.

Stade Municipal du Ray was a football stadium in Nice, France. It was the home of OGC Nice since it opened in 1927 and had a capacity of 17,415. It was popular for being located in the center of the city, but suffered from its old structure and small capacity. The red and black colored stadium was mostly used for football. A new stadium was supposed to be built in the Lingostière side, but the project was cancelled in 2006. The stadium was replaced by the Allianz Riviera in September 2013.

The Diocese of Nice (Latin: Dioecesis Nicensis; French: Diocèse de Nice) is a Latin diocese of the Catholic Church in France. The diocese comprises the Department of Alpes-Maritimes. The diocese is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Marseille.

The Conservatoire Pierre Cochereau à rayonnement régional de Nice (C.R.R. de Nice) is a state-run regional music and dance conservatoire which serves the French city of Nice (Alpes-Maritimes). It was founded by Adeline Ballet, a pianist, in 1916. It is named after its former director Pierre Cochereau, who served from 1962 to 1979. In the musical field, the conservatory provides instruction on stringed instruments (violin, viola, cello, contrabass), woodwinds (flute, oboe, bassoon, saxophone, clarinet), brass (horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba) as well as polyphonic instruments (piano, accordion, guitar, harp, organ, percussion). Singing, writing and musical composition classes, as well as early music lessons are also provided. The ballet and contemporary sections within the dance programme of the conservatory; and the dramatic arts are approached by interpretation, vocal work and improvisation workshops. The current director of the conservatoire is Thierry Muller, who has served since February 2016.
