Located just northeast of Vence, it is part of the Métropole Nice Côte d'Azur. In the 10th century, Saint-Jeannet became part of the County of Provence, under the leadership of William I.

The Lubiane is a small river that flows through the Alpes-Maritimes department of southeastern France. It flows entirely within the town of Vence. It is a right tributary of the Cagne. It is 7.3 km (4.5 mi) long.

Allianz Riviera (also known as the Stade de Nice due to UEFA and FIFA sponsorship regulations) is a multi-use stadium in Nice, France, used mostly for football matches of host OGC Nice and also for occasional home matches of rugby union club Toulon. The stadium has a capacity of 36,178 people and replaces the city's former stadium Stade Municipal du Ray. Construction started in 2011 and was completed two years later. The stadium's opening was on 22 September 2013, for a match between OGC Nice and Valenciennes. The stadium was originally planned to be completed by 2007. However, construction was halted the previous year because of concerns related to the future cost of the structure. Plans for the stadium, located in Saint-Isidore near the Var, were then shelved. The project was revived as part of France's ultimately successful bid to host UEFA Euro 2016. Due to sponsorship regulations, the stadium is known as the Stade de Nice in UEFA competition. The stadium hosted six matches at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.

The Estéron is a river that flows through the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Alpes-Maritimes departments of southeastern France. It is 66.2 km (41.1 mi) long. Its drainage basin is 445 km2 (172 sq mi). Its source is near Soleilhas. It flows generally east, through Roquestéron, and flows into the Var in Saint-Martin-du-Var. The Bouyon and the Rioulan are its tributaries.

Castagniers (French pronunciation: [kastaɲe]; Occitan: Castanhiers; Italian: Castagnera) is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in southeastern France.

Saint-Martin-du-Var (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ maʁtɛ̃ dy vaʁ], literally Saint-Martin of the Var; Occitan: Sant Martin de Var; Italian: San Martino del Varo) is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in southeastern France.

Castagniers Abbey (French: Abbaye Notre-Dame de la Paix de Castagniers) is a Cistercian nunnery, in Castagniers, 12 km from Nice in the Alpes-Maritimes departement in southwestern France. In 1865, Dom Marie-Bernard Barnouin, restorer of Sénanque Abbey, founded a Cistercian community for women in Mane in the diocese of Digne, and in 1869, another in Reillanne, the Abbaye de Notre-Dame des Prés. In 1872 the two communities were united in Reillanne. In 1930 the community left Reillanne to settle in Castagniers. The community was elevated to the rank of an abbey in 1962. The first abbess, Mother Marguerite de la Trinité, saw to it that the place became a chocolate factory, which is still working today. The nuns have a guest house and they welcome guests wishing to make a retreat.
