South West Delhi district

Ghitorni is a village in the South West district in the state of Delhi, India. It is located in southern Delhi, near the Gurgaon border and Vasant Kunj. In the 2011 census the population was 14,893. The population consists mainly of Lohmod Clan of Gurjar Community (80%), as well as the Brahmans (10%), Scheduled Castes (5%), Aggarwals and others (5%) (estimated).It comes between Aya Nagar and Sultanpur

The Delhi War Cemetery, in the Delhi Cantonment, Delhi, India, is the site of the graves of 1,154 service personnel who served the British Empire during the First and Second World Wars. The cemetery was established in 1951 to ensure the permanent preservation of the remains of soldiers across various cemeteries in northern India. At the entrance to the cemetery is the Delhi 1939–1945 War Memorial honouring the efforts of Indian forces during both world wars. The Delhi 1914-18 Memorial, commemorating 153 individuals buried in the Meerut Cantonment, where graves could no longer be cared for, is also on the site. The cemetery was commissioned by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and is now jointly maintained with the Government of India and its Ministry of Defence.

The Naraina Vihar metro station is located on the Pink Line of the Delhi Metro. As part of Phase III of Delhi Metro, Naraina Vihar is on the Pink Line. The station has been operational for public since 14 March 2018.

Delhi Cantonment (popularly referred to as Delhi Cantt) is a Class I Cantonment Board established in 1914. The area of the Cantonment is 10,452 acres (42.30 km2) and the population of the Cantonment as per the 2011 census is 110,351. The Cantonment is governed by the Cantonments Act, 2006 while various policy letters and instructions from the Ministry of Defence pertaining to the area are issued from time to time. Although the board functions as a local municipal body, it remains under the administrative control of the Directorate General Defence Estates, New Delhi and Principal Director, Defence Estates, Western Command, Chandigarh.It is one of three local bodies in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, the others being Municipal Corporation of Delhi and New Delhi Municipal Council.

Mayapuri is an industrial locality in the West Delhi district of Delhi, India. It used to be a major hub of heavy metal and small scale industries, but following recent government sanctions, most of the heavy metal industries moved out. The place is now a combination of residential area, light metal factories, scrap markets, and automobile service stations. In 2010, a major radiation accident took place in the scrap yards of Mayapuri. There are some famous landmarks in the area like the Food Corporation of India, Metal Forging and Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital. The area is connected with Delhi Metro by Mayapuri station. Mayapuri is also one of the major bus terminals for the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC).
