The population consists mainly of Lohmod Clan of Gurjar Community (80%), as well as the Brahmans (10%), Scheduled Castes (5%), Aggarwals and others (5%) (estimated).It comes between Aya Nagar and Sultanpur

South West Delhi is one of the eleven administrative districts of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in India. Kapashera serves as the administrative headquarters of South West Delhi. Delhi Ridge, sometimes simply called The Ridge, is a ridge in the Northern Aravalli leopard wildlife corridor in the National Capital Territory of Delhi in India. It is a northern extension of the ancient Aravalli Range, some 1.5 billion years old (by comparison, the Himalayas are "only" 50 million years old). The ridge consists of quartzite rocks and extends from the southeast at Tughlaqabad, near the Bhatti mines, branching out in places and tapering off in the north near Wazirabad on the west bank of the river Yamuna, covering about 35 kilometres.The Ridge acts as the "green lungs" for the city, and protects Delhi from the hot winds of the deserts of Rajasthan to the west. It has also enabled Delhi to be the world's second most bird-rich capital city, after Kenya's Nairobi.Though modest in height, the ridge acts as a watershed dividing the Indus Plain to the west from the Gangetic Plain to the east, within the Indo-Gangetic plain.

Mayapuri is an industrial locality in the West Delhi district of Delhi, India. It used to be a major hub of heavy metal and small scale industries, but following recent government sanctions, most of the heavy metal industries moved out. The place is now a combination of residential area, light metal factories, scrap markets, and automobile service stations. In 2010, a major radiation accident took place in the scrap yards of Mayapuri. There are some famous landmarks in the area like the Food Corporation of India, Metal Forging and Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital. The area is connected with Delhi Metro by Mayapuri station. Mayapuri is also one of the major bus terminals for the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC).

Naraina Vihar is a residential locality in South West Delhi. It is composed of flats built by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and privately built houses. The neighborhood is connected with Delhi Metro by Naraina Vihar station. Naraina Area is divided into industrial, residential, and rural areas. The industrial area has a large focus on steel and electronics. The headquarters of the Steel Authority of India Limited and Border Roads Organisation are also situated in Naraina. Naraina Gaon is the rural area. Naraina is adjacent to the western segment of the Ring Road, Delhi between Dhaula Kuan and Rajouri Garden. Surrounding areas include: Inderpuri, Loha Mandi, IARI or Pusa, Delhi Cantt, Mayapuri, Shadipur Depot, and Patel Nagar.

New Era Public School, is a school in Mayapuri, New Delhi, India. It was founded in 1960 by the New Era Education Society in Delhi. The project of Mr. R.L. Chopra and Mrs. Usha Chopra came into existence in 1965.
