Paris Road Bridge

The New Orleans Power Station is a natural gas–fired electrical power plant in New Orleans. It is operated by Entergy New Orleans and regulated by the New Orleans City Council. It is located at the foot of the Paris Road Bridge in the New Orleans East neighborhood. The plant's reciprocating engine units have a total capacity of 128 megawatts (172,000 hp).

TACA Flight 110 was a scheduled international airline flight operated by TACA International Airlines, traveling from San Salvador to New Orleans, with a stopover in Belize City. On May 24, 1988, the flight encountered severe thunderstorm activity on its final approach to New Orleans International Airport. As a result, the brand new Boeing 737-300 suffered flameout in both engines while descending through a severe thunderstorm, but the pilots made a successful emergency landing on a grass levee adjacent to NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility, with no one aboard sustaining more than a few minor injuries, and with only minor hail damage to the intact aircraft. Following an on-site engine replacement, the jetliner took off from Saturn Boulevard, a road which had previously been an aircraft runway at Michoud. The aircraft was subsequently repaired and returned to service until it finally retired in 2016.

WPXL-TV (channel 49) is a television station in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States, broadcasting the Ion Television network. It is owned and operated by the Ion Media subsidiary of the E. W. Scripps Company, and maintains offices on Veterans Memorial Boulevard and Cleary Avenue in Metairie; its transmitter is located off Paris Road (LA 47) near the Orleans–St. Bernard parish line.

WLAE-TV (channel 32) is an educational independent television station in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. The station is owned by the Educational Broadcasting Foundation, a partnership between the Willwoods Community (a Catholic-related organization) and the Louisiana Educational Television Authority (operator of Louisiana Public Broadcasting, which owns the PBS member stations in Louisiana that are located outside of New Orleans). WLAE's studios are located on Howard Avenue in New Orleans, and its transmitter is located on Paris Road/Highway 47 (northeast of Chalmette).

WFFX (103.7 FM; "Voodoo 103.7") is a radio station licensed to Marrero, Louisiana, and serving the New Orleans metropolitan area with a hot adult contemporary format. Owned by iHeartMedia, the station was first established in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, in 1966 as WFOR-FM.

WNOE-FM (101.1 MHz) is a country music station based in New Orleans, Louisiana. The iHeartMedia outlet broadcasts with an ERP of 100 kW. Its transmitter is located in New Orleans' East Area, and its studios are located downtown.

WWL-FM (105.3 MHz) is a commercial radio radio station licensed to Kenner, Louisiana, and serving the New Orleans metropolitan area. It is owned by Audacy, Inc. WWL-FM and sister station WWL 870 AM simulcast a News - Talk - Sports radio format. The studios and offices are in the 400 Poydras Tower in the New Orleans Central Business District. WWL-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 96,000 watts. Its transmitter site is off Paris Road in Chalmette, Louisiana. WWL-FM broadcasts in the HD Radio hybrid format, with its HD2 digital subchannel carrying both Infinity Sports Network and shows on food and lifestyles.

Michoud (pronounced MEE-shoo or sometimes MEE-shood) is an area in Eastern New Orleans, part of the Ninth Ward of New Orleans, Louisiana, located at latitude 30.03°N, longitude −89.925°W.

The Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) is an 832-acre (1.3 sq mi; 3.4 km2) manufacturing complex owned by NASA in New Orleans East, a section of New Orleans, Louisiana, in the United States. Organizationally it is part of NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, and is currently a multi-tenant complex to allow commercial and government contractors, as well as government agencies, to use the site. MAF is one of the largest manufacturing plants in the world with 43 environmentally controlled acres—174,000 m2 (1,870,000 sq ft)—under one roof, and it employs more than 4,200 people. From September 1961 to the end of the Apollo program in December 1972 the site was utilized by Chrysler Corporation to build the first stages of the Saturn I and Saturn IB, later joined by Boeing Corporation to build the first stage of the Saturn V rockets. From September 5, 1973, to September 20, 2010, the factory was used for the construction of the Space Shuttle's external fuel tanks by Martin Marietta Corporation.

The Abramson Science and Technology Charter School was a charter school in New Orleans, Louisiana. As of 2013, it was directly operated by the Recovery School District (RSD) and was a K-8 school. It previously served grades K-11 and was managed by the Pelican Educational Foundation on behalf of the RSD. It was located on the site of the former Marion Abramson High School in New Orleans East. It is adjacent to the campus of the Sarah T. Reed Elementary School.

Sarah T. Reed High School is a high school in Eastern New Orleans in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Marion Abramson Senior High was a high school in the New Orleans East area of New Orleans, United States. The former Abramson campus is adjacent to Greater St. Stephen Baptist Church. The school was operated by New Orleans Public Schools. It was named after Marion Pfeifer Abramson (August 29, 1905 – November 30, 1965), the creator of the educational television station WYES-TV.
