St John's Anglican Church, Heidelberg

The Head Teacher's residence is a house that, from 1878 to c. 1905 served as the house for the head teacher of the local government primary school, located at 114 Cape Street in Heidelberg, in the City of Banyule, in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, in Victoria, Australia. Whilst the house remains extant, the building is no longer used for teacher housing. Built in 1878 on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people, the house was added to the Victorian Heritage Register on 20 August 1982 in recognition of its architectural and historical significance; and was also added to non-statutory lists by the Victorian branch of the National Trust on 30 June 1977 and the now defunct Register of the National Estate on 30 June 1992.

The Glenard Estate, Eaglemont, is a residential estate designed by Walter Burley Griffin (1876-1937) and Marion Mahony Griffin (1871-1961) in 1915. They were commissioned by grazier, Peter Keam to lay out the estate on land he owned after his initial commission to lay out the neighbouring Mount Eagle Estate the previous year. The Glenard Estate is the second earliest garden suburban subdivision designed by the Griffins in Australia, predating Castlecrag in Sydney (1924) by nine years. The estate of 120 lots encompasses Glenard Drive, Mossman Drive, and sections of Lower Heidelberg Road and The Boulevard in Eaglemont, Victoria. The initial sale of the lots was considered a success. The streets follow the site contours with internal reserves provided for community use. These reserves, together with the recommended un-fenced back gardens were intended to provide common playing space for children. Covenants have largely ensured the survival of the original street lay out and internal reserves. The entire estate is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.

Heidelberg is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 11 kilometres (7 mi) northeast of Melbourne's central business district, located within the City of Banyule local government area. Heidelberg recorded a population of 7,360 at the 2021 census.Once a large town on Melbourne's outskirts, Heidelberg was absorbed into Melbourne as part of the latter's northward expansion after World War II. Heidelberg once had its own historic central business district including its own municipality in the former City of Heidelberg. Heidelberg lends its name to the Heidelberg School, an impressionist art movement that developed in and around the town in the late 19th-century.

Our Lady of Mercy College (OLMC), is a Roman Catholic, secondary day school for girls, situated in Heidelberg, a north-eastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The college is conducted by the Sisters of Mercy, a congregation of religious Sisters founded in Dublin, Ireland, by Catherine McAuley. OLMC is a member of Girls Sport Victoria (GSV) and the Catholic All Schools Sports Association (CAS). OLMC is split into four houses, Loreto, Carmel, Mercy and McAuley. These four houses compete in swimming, athletics, debating arts and maths competitions.

The Murray Griffin house, also called the Vaughan Griffin house, is a house located at 52 Darebin Street in Heidelberg, in the City of Banyule, in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, in Victoria, Australia. Built in 1922 on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people, the house was added to the Victorian Heritage Register on 19 June 1997 in recognition of its architectural significance; and was also added to a non-statutory lists by the Victorian branch of the National Trust on 16 July 1998 and the City of Banyule on an unknown date.

Pholiota was built as the home of architects Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony Griffin in 1920 at 23 Glenard Drive in Eaglemont, Victoria, Australia. The house is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.The Griffins used Knitlock construction to build this, their first home, on land they owned on the Glenard Estate next door to that of his sister Genevieve and brother-in- law Roy Alstan Lippincott at 21 Glenard Drive, the Lippincott House, a house also listed on the Victorian Heritage Register. Walter Burley Griffin with the builder David Charles Jenkins patented the Knitlock concrete units in 1917. The Knitlock system was designed as an economical, flexible and quick do-it-yourself construction system, with machine produced standard concrete tiles, or segments, which were fitted together on site. Few Knitlock buildings were constructed and Pholiota is one of a small number that survive. The house was a small, single storey house with square plan, containing a central room with a pyramidal ceiling, surrounded by alcoves. These alcoves contained the entrance and service areas and two bedroom alcoves. The floor was brick laid directly on the ground. Alterations and extensions in 1938, 1975 and the 1990s by subsequent owners have obscured the view of the original building from the street. In October 2016, for the exhibition “Pholiota Unlocked”, students at the Melbourne School of Design, University of Melbourne built a full scale plaster replica of the house.The house was named Pholiota after a genus of mushroom.

The Lippincott house is a house located at 21 Glenard Drive in Eaglemont, in the City of Banyule, in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, in Victoria, Australia. Built in 1917 on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people, the house was added to the Victorian Heritage Register on 10 August 2006 in recognition of its architectural and historical significance; and was also added to non-statutory lists by the Victorian branch of the National Trust on 8 November 1979 and the now defunct Register of the National Estate on 30 June 1992.

Eaglemont is an established suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 10 km north-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Banyule local government area. The Arthur Rylah Institute for Environmental Research (ARI) is the biodiversity research organisation for the government of Victoria, Australia. It provides advice on ecologically sustainable land and water management issues and with regard to threatened native flora and fauna. It is named after Sir Arthur Rylah, a long-serving Victorian politician and deputy state premier between 1955 and 1971.

The hospital offers obstetric, gynaecological and neonatal services and has one of only four neonatal intensive care units in Victoria. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is co-located with the Special Care Nursery and collectively they care for some of Victoria's most unwell babies. The hospital was opened in 1934.Mercy Hospital for Women provides both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, specialist and sub-specialist gynaecology, women's health and associated health, support and diagnostic services. It is a major teaching hospital and specialist referral centre with the medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to treat the most complex obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological cases. The hospital is affiliated with the University of Melbourne's Clinical School of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and La Trobe University School of Midwifery and Neonatal Nursing. The hospital is administered by Mercy Health, a Catholic not for profit organisation founded by the Sisters of Mercy.
