River Babingley

King's Lynn Docks are located to the north of the town of King's Lynn in the English county of Norfolk. They are on the River Great Ouse which provides access to the North Sea via the Lynn Channel and The Wash. They are located 39 miles (63 km) north of Cambridge, 40 miles (64 km) west of Norwich and 92 miles (148 km) north of London on the A1078 Edward Benefer Way. The docks are operated as the Port of King's Lynn by Associated British Ports. It handles around 400,000 tonnes of cargo per year, including forest products, agribulk and manufacturing and recycling materials. Three docks, including the tidal Riverside Quay, can accommodate vessels up to 140 metres (460 ft) in length. The docks cover an area of 39 hectares (96 acres) and include the 25,000 tonne capacity Alexandra Grain Silo complex.

West Lynn is a suburb of King's Lynn in Norfolk, England. It is the part of the town lying on the west bank of the River Great Ouse, linked to the main part of the town on the east bank by a passenger ferry or by a more circuitous 4 km road journey.West Lynn was an ancient parish, and until 1935 it was outside the borough boundaries of King's Lynn. From 1894 it was the sole parish in King's Lynn Rural District. In 1931 the parish had a population of 931. The parish was abolished on 1 April 1935. The more built-up part, including the old West Lynn village, became part of the borough of King's Lynn. The rest of the former parish was transferred to Clenchwarton in Marshland Rural District. It is in the South and West Lynn Ward of King's Lynn and West Norfolk Council.West Lynn has a primary school and a range of basic services. West Lynn Primary School received a "good" rating from Ofsted in 2019.

The River Great Ouse () is a river in England, the longest of several British rivers called "Ouse". From Syresham in Northamptonshire, the Great Ouse flows through Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk to drain into the Wash and the North Sea near Kings Lynn. Authorities disagree both on the river's source and its length with one quoting 160 mi (260 km) and another 143 mi (230 km). Mostly flowing north and east, it is the fifth longest river in the United Kingdom. The Great Ouse has been historically important for commercial navigation, and for draining the low-lying region through which it flows; its best-known tributary is the Cam, which runs through Cambridge. Its lower course passes through drained wetlands and fens and has been extensively modified, or channelised, to relieve flooding and provide a better route for barge traffic. The unmodified river would have changed course regularly after floods. The name Ouse is from the Celtic or pre-Celtic *Udso-s, and probably means simply "water" or slow flowing river. Thus the name is a pleonasm. The lower reaches of the Great Ouse are also known as "Old West River" and "the Ely Ouse", but all the river is often referred to simply as the Ouse in informal usage (the word "Great" – which originally meant simply big or, in the case of a river, long – is used to distinguish this river from several others called the Ouse).

The A1078 is an English A road entirely in the county of Norfolk. It runs from a junction with the A148 King's Lynn to Cromer Road in the town of King's Lynn to a junction with the A148 King's Lynn to Cromer in the northern suburbs of King's Lynn. The road is an essential part of the transport infrastructure of King's Lynn as it links King's Lynn Docks and its industrial estates to the A149 Queen Elizabeth Way (King's Lynn Southern Bypass), allowing HGV traffic to reach the A47 main trunk road without passing through the centre of King's Lynn.

The Corn Exchange is a commercial building in Tuesday Market Place, King's Lynn, Norfolk, England. The structure, which was commissioned as a corn exchange and is now used as an events venue, is a Grade II listed building.

True’s Yard Fisherfolk Museum is a social history museum in King's Lynn, Norfolk. It is an independent museum run almost entirely by volunteers and depicts the story of the old North End fishing quarter of King's Lynn. Support was received from the late Bernard Matthews and others. Most of the North End was knocked down in the slum clearances of the 1930s and 1960s.

The Guildhall of St George is a Grade I listed building in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, England. The Guild of St George was founded in 1376 and constructed the Guildhall between 1410 and 1420. It is the largest extant guildhall in England. It has been in use as a theatre since 1445, making it the oldest theatre still operating in the United Kingdom, and the only one still in existence in which William Shakespeare is believed to have performed. The building is in the ownership of the National Trust, which has leased it to King's Lynn and West Norfolk borough council for hire as a music, performances, lectures and entertainment venue.

King's Lynn Rural District was a rural district in Norfolk from 1894 to 1935. It was situated on the west bank of the River Great Ouse, opposite the town of King's Lynn, and comprised the then single civil parish of West Lynn. The district was split in 1935 with the urban part becoming part of the borough of King's Lynn, and the rest becoming part of Marshland Rural District. Today the area covered by the old rural district is within the district of King's Lynn and West Norfolk.

Clenchwarton is a village, civil parish and electoral ward in the English county of Norfolk. It is located about 1+1⁄4 miles (2 km) west of the River Great Ouse, about 2+1⁄4 miles (4 km) from the town of King's Lynn on the east side of the river.

King's Lynn and West Norfolk is a local government district with borough status in Norfolk, England. Its council is based in the town of King's Lynn. The district also includes the towns of Downham Market and Hunstanton, along with numerous villages and surrounding rural areas. The population of the district at the 2021 census was 154,325.Part of the borough lies within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The borough lies on the coast, facing both The Wash to the west and the North Sea to the north. The neighbouring districts are North Norfolk, Breckland, West Suffolk, East Cambridgeshire, Fenland and South Holland.

Clifton House is a grade I listed building in King's Lynn, in Norfolk, England. A house has stood on the site since the 13th century. The current facade was constructed in 1708.

Thoresby College (also Trinity College) was a 16th-century collegiate-style residence for thirteen chantry priests in King's Lynn, Norfolk, East of England. Located on Queen Street opposite the Guildhall, it has been converted into a youth hostel, and offices for the King`s Lynn Preservation Trust. It is a Grade I listed building.The priests were employed by the Trinity Guild of King’s Lynn. Its founder and benefactor, Thomas Thoresby, was a merchant and three times Mayor of the town; he died in 1510 before the building was completed. Notable features include a Dutch gable front, the interior has exposed wood beams. The original great door was decorated with parchemin panels.
