Harrington Road tram stop is a light rail stop in South Norwood in the London Borough of Croydon in the southern suburbs of London. Harrington Road is in a residential area, and along with Woodside tram stop is the nearest tram stop to the town of South Norwood. Beckenham Cemetery lies immediately to the east and there is an entrance immediately adjacent to the tramstop. The tram stop, which is served by Tramlink, connects to central Croydon. The stop is at ground level on double track, with platforms on each side of the track. Immediately to the north of the stop, the route becomes single track and turns sharply to the east, joining the trackbed of the existing railway line between Crystal Palace and Beckenham Junction stations. The two tracks (Tramlink and Network Rail) run alongside each other, occupying the site of what was previously a double track railway. Transport for London once had plans to extend the Tramlink system to Crystal Palace, which would have involved a junction to the north of Harrington Road, with the extension joining the existing railway in the opposite direction to the current service. The planned extension to Crystal Palace was formally dropped by Transport for London in 2008.

South Norwood Country Park is a park in South Norwood, close to Elmers End and Birkbeck train stations. The historic Kent-Surrey border runs through the site, and since 1965 it has been located wholly in the London Borough of Croydon. It is a 47 hectare (116 acre) green space which opened in 1989. The park is a mix of countryside and parkland, and land formerly used for sewage farms serving the growing London population. Croydon Sports Arena, the home of Croydon F.C., is on the south-eastern edge of the park. There is also a car park and visitor centre, and a duck pond similar to the one at South Norwood Lake.

Avenue Road tram stop is a light rail stop in the London Borough of Bromley in the southern suburbs of London. It is located on Avenue Road in a mainly residential area between Penge and Beckenham. The tram stop is served by Tramlink, which connects central Croydon with Beckenham.

Elmers End is an area of south-east London, England, within the London Borough of Bromley and the historic county of Kent. It is located south of Beckenham, west of Eden Park, north of Monks Orchard and east of Anerley.

Elmers End is a railway station and tram terminus in Elmers End, south London, England. It is in the London Borough of Bromley and on the railway it is 11 miles 7 chains (17.8 km) down the line from London Charing Cross. The railway through Elmers End was opened by the South Eastern Railway on 1 April 1864 as an extension of the Mid-Kent Line from New Beckenham to Addiscombe; there was a branch, opened on 29 May 1882 to Hayes at this station. The portion of the line to Addiscombe, which was originally named Croydon (Addiscombe Road), was closed in 1997 when Tramlink took over much of the trackbed from Elmers End. The Hayes line service on the suburban commuter railway line between Hayes and London Charing Cross through Elmers End is still in use. The station is on Elmers End Road (A214), at the south-east corner of South Norwood Country Park. One former platform is now the terminus for Tramlink services to central Croydon. Work is underway to open a second tram platform and double the tram line to Arena to increase capacity. As of March 2019, vegetation has been cleared to make way for the new line. The platform was due to open in December 2020, but has been delayed.

Betts Park is a public park in Penge, London Borough of Bromley, in London, England. It has a number of attractions, including part of the old Croydon Canal. It was opened in December 1928 and extended in the 1930s.

Penge Congregational Church is a Congregational church in Penge in the London Borough of Bromley located on Penge High Street between Sainsburys & Tesco Express, on the corner of Kenilworth Road. It is organised under Congregational principles for all who believe in Jesus and is run under a basis of fellowship that includes all members of the church. It was built 1912 to designs by P. Morley Horder "with passage aisles and clerestory. Shafts on large, excellently carved corbels." The structure appears fortress-like in its Romanesque Revival architectural style massing. Its elevated situation and tower dominate Penge High Street, more so than the stone broach spire of St. John the Evangelist, Penge. The church currently is in-between Ministers (in an interregnum) but the current Associate Minister is Pam Owen. Sunday Services are at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Penge Congregational Church is part of the Congregational Federation.

Woodside is a ward in the London Borough of Croydon. The ward covers the Woodside area. The first election to the new ward was on 13 May 2018. On 6 May 2021, 5 by-elections were held in Croydon following the resignation of 5 councillors across New Addington North, South Norwood, Kenley, Park Hill and Whitgift and Woodside.

The Croydon Canal ran 9+1⁄4 miles (15 km) from Croydon, via Forest Hill, to the Grand Surrey Canal at New Cross in south London, England. It opened in 1809 and closed in 1836, the first canal to be abandoned by an Act of Parliament.

Croydon Football Club is an English semi-professional football club based in Croydon, London. Until 2006, they played in the Isthmian League, but lost their place in that league as part of the 2006 re-structuring of non-league football, and now play in the Southern Counties East League Division One. They play at Croydon Sports Arena in South Norwood. The club was founded in 1953 as Croydon Amateurs.

The A234 is an A road between Crystal Palace and Beckenham in London, England. It starts as Crystal Palace Park Road near the top of Sydenham Hill. Running down on the North side of Crystal Palace Park it passes under two viaducts for the railway lines between London Bridge and East Croydon and Crystal Palace. It then enters Penge as Penge High Street before crossing the A213. It then passes underneath Tramlink, before finishing at Beckenham town centre.
