Elmers End station

Elmers End is an area of south-east London, England, within the London Borough of Bromley and the historic county of Kent. It is located south of Beckenham, west of Eden Park, north of Monks Orchard and east of Anerley.

South Norwood Country Park is a park in South Norwood, close to Elmers End and Birkbeck train stations. The historic Kent-Surrey border runs through the site, and since 1965 it has been located wholly in the London Borough of Croydon. It is a 47 hectare (116 acre) green space which opened in 1989. The park is a mix of countryside and parkland, and land formerly used for sewage farms serving the growing London population. Croydon Sports Arena, the home of Croydon F.C., is on the south-eastern edge of the park. There is also a car park and visitor centre, and a duck pond similar to the one at South Norwood Lake.

Long Lane Wood is an area of ancient woodland in the suburb of Monks Orchard within the London borough of Croydon. The wood covers an area of 15.07 acres, is criss crossed by paths and is frequented by dog walkers. The wood is mainly made up of English Oak and the occasional European Beech. Bywood Avenue Bird Sanctuary can be found to the rear of the wood, it is small fenced off area set aside for wildlife. The wood was a part of the Great North Wood and is now managed by the London Wildlife Trust as a part of the Great North Wood Project.

Beckenham Crematorium and Cemetery is a cemetery in the London Borough of Bromley, opened in 1876.

Avenue Road tram stop is a light rail stop in the London Borough of Bromley in the southern suburbs of London. It is located on Avenue Road in a mainly residential area between Penge and Beckenham. The tram stop is served by Tramlink, which connects central Croydon with Beckenham.

Birkbeck is a railway station and light rail stop in the London Borough of Bromley in the southern suburbs of London. On the rail network it is 10 miles 26 chains (16.6 km) measured from London Victoria. It is located on Elmers End Road (A214) and alongside Beckenham Crematorium.

Arena tram stop is a light rail stop in the Woodside area of South Norwood in the London Borough of Croydon in the southern suburbs of London. The stop is located by the Croydon Sports Arena and serves the council estates of Longheath Gardens Estate and Tollgate Estate. The tram stop is located on a section of line which follows the trackbed of the former Woodside and South Croydon Railway, although there was no station at the location prior to the opening of Tramlink. The stop is at ground level on double track, with platforms on each side of the tracks. Immediately to the east of the station is a junction where services diverge either to the north along a section of route specially constructed for Tramlink, or continue straight ahead along the former railway right of way. Just beyond this junction services bound for Elmers End becomes a single track for the rest of its journey. The National Cycle Route 21 (the Waterlink Way) crosses the tram lines at Arena.

Harrington Road tram stop is a light rail stop in South Norwood in the London Borough of Croydon in the southern suburbs of London. Harrington Road is in a residential area, and along with Woodside tram stop is the nearest tram stop to the town of South Norwood. Beckenham Cemetery lies immediately to the east and there is an entrance immediately adjacent to the tramstop. The tram stop, which is served by Tramlink, connects to central Croydon. The stop is at ground level on double track, with platforms on each side of the track. Immediately to the north of the stop, the route becomes single track and turns sharply to the east, joining the trackbed of the existing railway line between Crystal Palace and Beckenham Junction stations. The two tracks (Tramlink and Network Rail) run alongside each other, occupying the site of what was previously a double track railway. Transport for London once had plans to extend the Tramlink system to Crystal Palace, which would have involved a junction to the north of Harrington Road, with the extension joining the existing railway in the opposite direction to the current service. The planned extension to Crystal Palace was formally dropped by Transport for London in 2008.

Croydon Football Club is an English semi-professional football club based in Croydon, London. Until 2006, they played in the Isthmian League, but lost their place in that league as part of the 2006 re-structuring of non-league football, and now play in the Southern Counties East League Division One. They play at Croydon Sports Arena in South Norwood. The club was founded in 1953 as Croydon Amateurs.

Oasis Academy Arena is coeducational secondary school located in the South Norwood in Greater London, England. It is part of Oasis Community Learning.

Beckenham Road tram stop is a light rail stop in the London Borough of Bromley in the southern suburbs of London. The stop is located on an embankment above Beckenham Road (A234) which connects Beckenham with Crystal Palace and Penge on the site of the short-lived (1858–1860) West End of London & Crystal Palace Railway Penge station.The tram stop is served by Tramlink, which connects central Croydon with Beckenham.The tram stop is close to Clock House railway station on the National Rail Hayes Line, which lies on the other side of Beckenham Road and at a considerably lower level. Kent House railway station, served by trains between London Victoria and Orpington, is also within walking distance. Bus stops on roads adjacent to the stop provide interchange with the following bus services (as of January 2008): 194 – Sydenham–Croydon; 227 – Bromley–Crystal Palace; 354 – Bromley–Penge; 358 – Orpington–Crystal Palace.

Clock House railway station is in the London Borough of Bromley in south east London, in Travelcard Zone 4 between Beckenham and Penge. It is 10 miles 23 chains (16.6 km) down the line from London Charing Cross. The station and all trains serving it are operated by Southeastern on the Hayes line. The station, which was opened by the South Eastern Railway in 1890, is named after the nearby residence of the Cator Family, demolished in 1896. Clock House retains its original street level booking hall and the remnants of its platform canopies and was formerly known for its tendency to flood whenever overwhelmed by the Chaffinch brook. The station name can be spelt either Clock House or Clockhouse. For example, the previous station signage used the latter (historically inaccurate) form, whilst the published timetables use the former version. The new Southeastern re-branded station signage and livery has since corrected this inaccuracy.
