Donje Svetice

The Ministry of Science and Education of Croatia (Croatian: Ministarstvo znanosti i obrazovanja or MZO) is the ministry in the Government of Croatia which is in charge of primary, secondary and tertiary education, research institutions and sports. However, the fact that both education and sports are governed by one single body had drawn criticism from long time Croatian educators, which have the view of having the Ministry focusing on education alone.

Chromos Tower is a 60-meter (200 ft) office tower in Zagreb, Croatia. The tower was constructed in 1989 and was originally the main headquarters of the Chromos Corporation after which it was named. It is located in Kanal neighborhood, on the corner of the Vukovar Street and Vjekoslav Heinzel street. It is last skyscraper built in Zagreb before the Croatian War of Independence (1991-1995).

Third Gymnasium (Croatian: III. gimnazija, Treća gimnazija) is a high school in Zagreb, Croatia. After the school year 2023/24, 138 graduates of this gymnasium enrolled at an institution of higher learning in Croatia, or 92% of students who took up the nationwide Matura exams. The most common destinations for these students were the University of Zagreb faculties of electrical engineering and computing, economics, civil engineering, law, and science.

International Graduate Business School (IGBS) Zagreb is designed to meet the need for management education in Croatia and the region. IGBS Zagreb offers dual MBA/M.Sc. degree in partnership with Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. A Croatian public research centre in the field of economics, The Institute of Economics, Zagreb, founded IGBS Zagreb as a private business school in 2003 with support of a grant from U.S. Department of State.

Zagrebtower is a building in Zagreb, Croatia, located in the neighborhood of Sigečica, on the Radnička Road. It was completed in late 2006. It is an elliptical, 22-story, 84-meter (276 ft) office tower with adjacent 8-story office building which includes an underground parking garage. The complex includes a total of 26,000 m2 (280,000 sq ft) of office space.

Stara Peščenica (Croatian pronunciation: [ˈstara peʃtʃeˈnitsa]) is a neighborhood located in the northwestern corner of the Peščenica – Žitnjak administrative city district of Zagreb, Croatia. It is bordered by Zvonimirova Street and the J. F. Kennedy Square on the north, Budakova Street on the east, railway (later Branimirova Avenue) on the south and Vjekoslav Heinzel Avenue on the west. It has a population of 5,700 (2011).The neighborhood's name (translated to English as Old Peščenica) correctly displays it both as the oldest part of what is today Peščenica - Žitnjak district, and having a rich history.

Sigečica is a neighbourhood in the southeast of Zagreb, Croatia, within the Trnje district. The area of the local city council of Sigečica has a population of 6,077 (census 2021). The name Sigečica comes from old river islands in the Sava river valley, and city planners decided to name a lot of the neighbourhood streets after Adriatic islands. Sigečica became urbanized and integrated into the city in the late 1920s.

Volovčica is a neighbourhood in the southeast of Zagreb, Croatia, within the Peščenica – Žitnjak district. The area of the local city council of Volovčica has a population of 5,275 (census 2021). The area is part of the new Peščenica settlement that started to be built in 1932.

Slavonska Avenue (Croatian: Slavonska avenija) is a limited-access avenue in Zagreb, Croatia. It is the longest street in Zagreb, being 18 km (11 mi) long. It mostly has a 70 km/h (43 mph) speed limit, although the speed is limited to 100 km/h (62 mph) on a short section near the Ivanja Reka interchange with the Zagreb bypass. In 2007 the avenue was proclaimed to be the most accident-prone road in Zagreb. The avenue is an important east-west arterial road. Starting at the interchange with Savska Road, it intersects, featuring mainly two and three-level interchanges, several other main Zagreb thoroughfares (sorted eastbound): Croatian Fraternal Union Avenue, Marin Držić Avenue, Vjekoslav Heinzel Avenue, Gospić Road, Ljudevit Posavski Road. Slavonska Avenue does not have any tram lines, although most lines in Zagreb pass over or under the avenue.

Maksimir Stadium (Croatian: Stadion Maksimir, pronounced [ˈstâdioːn mǎksimiːr]) is a multi-use stadium in Zagreb, Croatia. It takes its name from the surrounding neighbourhood of Maksimir. The venue is primarily the home of Dinamo Zagreb, the top club of the country with 22 league titles, but it is also the home venue of the Croatia national football team. First opened in 1912, it has undergone many revamps, and its current layout dates from a 1997 rebuilding. The stadium also sometimes hosts other events such as rock concerts.

Borongaj is a neighborhood the Peščenica – Žitnjak district of Zagreb, Croatia. It is situated south of the main railway along Branimir Avenue and east of Donje Svetice Road. It is the location of the former Borongaj Airfield. For administrative purposes, Borongaj is part of the "Bruno Bušić" local committee. It covers an area of 68.7 hectares (170 acres), and it is populated by 4,571 inhabitants (2011).
