The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is an English-language public research university located in Hung Hom, Hong Kong near Hung Hom station. The University is one of the eight government-funded degree-granting tertiary institutions in Hong Kong. Founded in 1937 as the first Government Trade School, it is the first institution to provide technical education in Hong Kong. In 1994, the Legislative Council of Hong Kong passed a bill which granted the former Hong Kong Polytechnic official university status.PolyU consists of 8 faculties and schools, offering programmes covering applied science, business, construction, environment, engineering, social science, health, humanities, design, hotel and tourism management. The university offers over 160 taught programmes for more than 25,800 students every year. It is the largest public tertiary institution in terms of number of students. As of 2022, the university ranks 91st in the World by THE, 5th in young universities by THE, and 66th internationally by QS, 124th in US News and 151~200th in ARWU globally.

Hung Hom (Chinese: 紅磡; Cantonese Yale: Hùngham) is a passenger railway station in Hung Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is the southern terminus of the East Rail line and an intermediate station of Tuen Ma line domestic services of the MTR network, as well as cross-border through trains to mainland China. The station is one of four Hong Kong ports of entry on the MTR network; the others are Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau, and West Kowloon. As the station is located next to the Cross-Harbour Tunnel's northern portal, it is also served by many cross-harbour bus routes. Opened as the new southern terminus of the Kowloon–Canton Railway (KCR) on 30 November 1975 by Queen Elizabeth II, the station was originally named Kowloon station after the older terminus of the same name, which it replaced. The station was substantially expanded in the 1990s, at which time it was given its present name. The KCR British Section was also renamed East Rail Line in order to differentiate it from the new West Rail Line, which opened on 20 December 2003 and was extended to Hung Hom station on 16 August 2009. Under the Sha Tin to Central Link project, which has been under construction since 2012, much of Hung Hom station has been reconstructed. A new immersed tube south of the station will carry East Rail line trains across Victoria Harbour to Central, while the West Rail has been extended via eastern Kowloon to connect to the former Ma On Shan line, with the combined line being renamed "Tuen Ma line".

Chatham Road South and Chatham Road North are two continuous roads spanning from Tsim Sha Tsui to Hung Hom in Kowloon, Hong Kong. The road originally ran from Signal Hill to Hung Hom under No. 12 Hill by the side of Hung Hom Bay. It was later extended through Lo Lung Hang to the southern end of To Kwa Wan, which makes up Chatham Road North.

Jockey Club Innovation Tower is a building of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University located on Chatham Road South in Hung Hom district, Kowloon. It was designed by Pritzker-prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid. This building is her first permanent work in Hong Kong. Originally expected to be completed by the end of 2011, it was not finished until 2014.

Hotel ICON (Chinese: 唯港薈) is the teaching and research hotel built for the School of Hotel and Tourism Management by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. It is fully owned by the university. Located at 17 Science Museum Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon, Hong Kong, the hotel was built on the site of what was formerly PolyU's staff quarters, Pak Sui Yuen (百粹苑). The new complex retains the original function of staff quarters, and adds new functions such as hotel rooms, a teaching complex and function rooms. The building's topping-up ceremony was held on 11 March 2010, and the hotel was officially opened on 21 September 2011.

Hong Kong Coliseum, commonly known as the Hung Hom Coliseum, is a multi-purpose indoor arena, in Hung Hom Bay, Kowloon, Hong Kong near Hung Hom station. It is in Yau Tsim Mong District.It was built by the Urban Council and inaugurated on 27 April 1983. The opening of the stadium coincided with the 100th anniversary of the Urban Council. The coliseum has 12,500 seats, which is the second largest among indoor facilities in Hong Kong, only behind the 2005-opened AsiaWorld–Arena. It is now managed by the Leisure and Cultural Service Department of the Hong Kong Government.

Gun Club Hill Barracks are barracks in King's Park, or in Jordan, Hong Kong formerly used by British Army garrisons during British colonial rule. The military began using the area shortly after 1860 when the British acquired Kowloon. The barracks are bounded by Austin Road, Jordan Path, Gascoigne Road and Chatham Road South. The barracks are currently occupied by the People's Liberation Army (PLA) who began using the facility after the transfer of sovereignty of Hong Kong on 1 July 1997. The compound now includes a hospital constructed for the People's Liberation Army, Hong Kong, completed around 1997.

Hung Hom (Cantonese pronunciation: [hȍŋ hɐ̄m]) is an area in the southeast of Kowloon Peninsula, Hong Kong. Including the area of Whampoa, Tai Wan, Hok Yuen, Lo Lung Hang and No. 12 Hill are administratively part of the Kowloon City District, with a portion west of Hung Hom Bay in the Yau Tsim Mong District. Hung Hom serves mainly residential purposes, but it is mixed with some industrial buildings in the north.

The PolyU Faculty of Construction and Environment is one of the faculty at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The faculty consists of the Department of Building and Real Estate, Department of Building Services Engineering , Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering , and Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics. In 2021, the faculty has around 115 full-time academic staff.

The Hong Kong Science Museum is a science museum in Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon, Hong Kong, located next to the Hong Kong Museum of History.

Rosary Church is located at 125 Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is the oldest Catholic church in Kowloon. The church is in Gothic style; the original plan was based on a Roman Basilican model. The church, St. Mary's Canossian College and St. Mary's Canossian School in adjacent belongs to same building cluster. It was classified as Grade II Historic Building in 1990 and it has been a Grade I Historic Building since 2010.

St. Mary's Canossian College (Chinese: 嘉諾撒聖瑪利書院;demonym: St. Marian) is a Catholic girls secondary school in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The school was founded in 1900, and is situated at the junction of Austin Road and Chatham Road South. Admission to St. Mary's Canossian College is highly selective. Students are taught by Sisters and experienced teachers. The school, known as St Mary's School in the past, was originally aimed at educating the Portuguese girls living in Kowloon, Hong Kong. This gradually changed, and as of now, 98% of the students are Hong Kong Chinese. One of the building in St. Mary’s Canossian College, St. Michael Building, ( which also named as Old building) was listed as Grade II historic buildings in Hong Kong in 1991. In 2010, the Main building and St. Michael Building were both confirmed to be Grade I historic buildings in Hong Kong. Other Catholic buildings, like the Rosary Church and the St. Mary's Canossian School, are adjacent to the school. St Mary's is also a band 1 school, leading top 10 in Hong Kong.
