Hung Hom

Royal Peninsula (Chinese: 半島豪庭) is a private housing estate in Hung Hom, Kowloon Peninsula, Hong Kong, which was jointly developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties and Henderson Land Development in 2001. Built on the reclaimed land of Hung Hom Bay, it comprises 5 high-rise buildings with 1669 units and consists 13 penthouse apartments on the top floors.

Hung Hom (Chinese: 紅磡; Cantonese Yale: Hùngham) is a passenger railway station in Hung Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is the southern terminus of the East Rail line and an intermediate station of Tuen Ma line domestic services of the MTR network, as well as cross-border through trains to mainland China. The station is one of four Hong Kong ports of entry on the MTR network; the others are Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau, and West Kowloon. As the station is located next to the Cross-Harbour Tunnel's northern portal, it is also served by many cross-harbour bus routes. Opened as the new southern terminus of the Kowloon–Canton Railway (KCR) on 30 November 1975 by Queen Elizabeth II, the station was originally named Kowloon station after the older terminus of the same name, which it replaced. The station was substantially expanded in the 1990s, at which time it was given its present name. The KCR British Section was also renamed East Rail Line in order to differentiate it from the new West Rail Line, which opened on 20 December 2003 and was extended to Hung Hom station on 16 August 2009. Under the Sha Tin to Central Link project, which has been under construction since 2012, much of Hung Hom station has been reconstructed. A new immersed tube south of the station will carry East Rail line trains across Victoria Harbour to Central, while the West Rail has been extended via eastern Kowloon to connect to the former Ma On Shan line, with the combined line being renamed "Tuen Ma line".

Hong Kong Coliseum, commonly known as the Hung Hom Coliseum, is a multi-purpose indoor arena, in Hung Hom Bay, Kowloon, Hong Kong near Hung Hom station. It is in Yau Tsim Mong District.It was built by the Urban Council and inaugurated on 27 April 1983. The opening of the stadium coincided with the 100th anniversary of the Urban Council. The coliseum has 12,500 seats, which is the second largest among indoor facilities in Hong Kong, only behind the 2005-opened AsiaWorld–Arena. It is now managed by the Leisure and Cultural Service Department of the Hong Kong Government.

Harbour Place (Chinese: 海濱南岸) is a private housing estate in Hung Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

Hunghom Bay Centre (Chinese: 紅磡灣中心) is a private housing estate in Baker Street, Hung Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong, near Whampoa Garden. It consists of 11 residential towers with a total of 814 residential units, which were developed by Hutchison Whampoa and completed in 1978. It approached Hung Hom Bay and old Hung Hom Ferry Pier until Hung Hom Bay was reclaimed in 1990s.Hunghom Bay Centre received an Honorable Mention at the 1980 Hong Kong Institute of Architects Annual Awards.

Rumsey Rock (Chinese: 林士石) was a rock in Hung Hom Bay, Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong. Administratively it belonged to the Kowloon City District. The rock was incorporated in reclaimed land between Tsim Sha Tsui East and Hung Hom in Kowloon in the 1970s. The site of the rock is now part of the Harbour Place private housing estate.

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is an English-language public research university located in Hung Hom, Hong Kong near Hung Hom station. The University is one of the eight government-funded degree-granting tertiary institutions in Hong Kong. Founded in 1937 as the first Government Trade School, it is the first institution to provide technical education in Hong Kong. In 1994, the Legislative Council of Hong Kong passed a bill which granted the former Hong Kong Polytechnic official university status.PolyU consists of 8 faculties and schools, offering programmes covering applied science, business, construction, environment, engineering, social science, health, humanities, design, hotel and tourism management. The university offers over 160 taught programmes for more than 25,800 students every year. It is the largest public tertiary institution in terms of number of students. As of 2022, the university ranks 91st in the World by THE, 5th in young universities by THE, and 66th internationally by QS, 124th in US News and 151~200th in ARWU globally.

Hung Hom Bay was a bay in Victoria Harbour, between Tsim Sha Tsui and Hung Hom in the southeast of Kowloon Peninsula, Hong Kong. Since 1994, parts of the bay were reclaimed, and by 2019 it had been completely extinguished. All of present-day Tsim Sha Tsui East and Hung Hom station on the MTR as well as the Hung Hom Ferry Pier are on land reclaimed from the bay. The reclamation also buried several rocks, including Rumsey Rock. The bay once came inland as far as the present-day interchange of the West Kowloon Corridor and the Hung Hom Bypass.

Jockey Club Innovation Tower is a building of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University located on Chatham Road South in Hung Hom district, Kowloon. It was designed by Pritzker-prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid. This building is her first permanent work in Hong Kong. Originally expected to be completed by the end of 2011, it was not finished until 2014.

Hotel ICON (Chinese: 唯港薈) is the teaching and research hotel built for the School of Hotel and Tourism Management by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. It is fully owned by the university. Located at 17 Science Museum Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon, Hong Kong, the hotel was built on the site of what was formerly PolyU's staff quarters, Pak Sui Yuen (百粹苑). The new complex retains the original function of staff quarters, and adds new functions such as hotel rooms, a teaching complex and function rooms. The building's topping-up ceremony was held on 11 March 2010, and the hotel was officially opened on 21 September 2011.

Lo Lung Hang (Chinese: 老龍坑) is a valley northwest of Hung Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The place is west of Hok Yuen and it is where the Valley Road Estate was once located. The valley is no longer visible now, but there is still a street remaining called Lo Lung Hang Street, near Hung Hom MTR station. A railway station named Ho Man Tin station has been built in Lo Lung Hang as part of the Sha Tin to Central Link and Kwun Tong line Extension.

The PolyU Faculty of Construction and Environment is one of the faculty at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The faculty consists of the Department of Building and Real Estate, Department of Building Services Engineering , Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering , and Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics. In 2021, the faculty has around 115 full-time academic staff.
