Bizzozero

Viale Luigi Borri (officially Viale Borri Luigi), or more commonly Viale Borri, is an important street in Varese, Italy. From Largo Ennio Flaiano through the village of the neighborhood Bizzozero ends at the border of Lozza. Includes the initial part of the Provincial Road 233 Varesina. On this road lies the Ospedale di Circolo e Fondazione Macchi and Campus Bizzozero (University of Insubria).

Lozza is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 45 kilometres (28 mi) northwest of Milan and about 4 kilometres (2 mi) southeast of Varese. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,112 and an area of 1.7 square kilometres (0.66 sq mi).Lozza borders the following municipalities: Castiglione Olona, Gazzada Schianno, Malnate, Morazzone, Varese, Vedano Olona. In Roman times, Lozza was on the Via Mediolanum-Bilitio, a Roman road that connected Mediolanum (Milan) with Luganum (Lugano) passing through Varisium (Varese). Lozza was conquered in the early Middle Ages by the Lombards and later by the Franks to become part of the Archbishopric of Milan around 1200. In 1648 the Castiglioni di Lozza family took control of the town, and Count Marco Fabrizio built a summer resort there.

The Battle of Varese was fought on 26 May 1859 at Varese (Lombardy). It was an engagement of the Second Italian War of Independence, fought between the Italian volunteers formation of the Hunters of the Alps, led by Giuseppe Garibaldi, against Austrian troops led by Karl von Urban. The Austrian defeat allowed the movement of the Hunters towards Como, and obliged the Austrians to keep troops on the northern part of the front.

The Circolo Hospital and Macchi Foundation (Italian: Ospedale di Circolo e Fondazione Macchi) is the largest hospital of Varese, Italy. Since 1995 is a hospital of national importance and high specialization. In 1975 it hosted the second faculty of Medicine of the University of Pavia, later incorporated in the new University of Insubria.

It is served by Gazzada-Schianno-Morazzone railway station. Morazzone borders the following municipalities: Brunello, Caronno Varesino, Castiglione Olona, Castronno, Gazzada Schianno, Gornate-Olona, Lozza.

The hospital Filippo del Ponte (Italian: Ospedale Filippo del Ponte) is a hospital of Varese, Italy. From November 2011 hosts the activities of the Maternal Infant of the Presidium of Varese. It is part of the Azienda Ospedaliera Ospedale di Circolo e Fondazione Macchi.

The province of Varese (Italian: provincia di Varese) is a province in the Lombardy region of Italy. Its capital is the city of Varese (population of 80,857 inhabitants), but its largest city is Busto Arsizio. The headquarters of AgustaWestland, the company merged into Leonardo since 2016 and the world's largest producer of helicopters, is based in Samarate, a comune (municipality) of the province. Varese railway station (Italian: Stazione di Varese) serves the town and comune of Varese, in the region of Lombardy, northern Italy. Opened in 1865, it is located on the Porto Ceresio–Milan railway. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). However, the commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni. Each of these companies is a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), Italy's state-owned rail company. Train services are operated by the lombard railway company Trenord.

The University of Insubria (Italian: Università degli Studi dell'Insubria) is an Italian university located in Como and Varese, with secondary locations in Busto Arsizio and Saronno. It was founded in 1998, it has been named after the area where it is situated, the historical-geographical region of Insubria. According to the ranking made by Il Sole 24 Ore in 2011, the University of Insubria places itself 16th out of the 58 state-supported Italian universities; third in Lombardy after Politecnico di Milano and University of Pavia.The Faculty of Law in Como has passed from the 9th to the 6th place in the CENSIS 2010/2011 Faculty of Law table. In 2013 the Faculty of Law was ranked 7th place nationally, with a rating of "AAA", within the list drawn up by the "Great University Guide" prepared by the newspaper La Repubblica, in collaboration with Censis (was in 4th place in 2011 and the 6th place in 2010).
