St Margaret Mary's Secondary School is a co-educational, denominational, comprehensive secondary school located in Castlemilk, Glasgow, Scotland.

Castlemilk High School is a co-educational comprehensive secondary school located in Castlemilk, Glasgow, Scotland. It was established in 1990 from a merger of the district's two existing nondenominational high schools due to falling population figures, Glenwood Secondary (built 1958, which closed and was demolished, later replaced by a business park) and Grange Secondary (built 1968, which was used as the new campus for Castlemilk High). The campus was rebuilt in 2001 to a design for fewer pupils than its predecessor.

Bogany Flats was a multi-storey block of flats in Castlemilk, Glasgow. The flats were built in 1966 by George Wimpey Ltd, the last of the nine tower blocks Whimpey built throughout the city in the sixties. The building was 20 stories high and contained 114 dwellings; locally it was known as 'The Hilton'. On 28 March 1993, 30 Bogany Terrace was demolished using 350 kg (770 lb) of explosives, in what was to become the third successfully controlled explosion in Glasgow. Despite being the most recently built high-rise tower block in Castlemilk it was the first to be demolished, after standing for only 27 years.

Croftfoot (Scots: Croaftfuit, Scottish Gaelic: Bun a' Chroit) is a residential area on the southeastern side of the Scottish city of Glasgow. It is bordered by Castlemilk to the south and King's Park (both the public park and the residential neighbourhood) to the west within Glasgow, and by the Rutherglen areas of Spittal to the east and Bankhead to the north (across the Cathcart Circle Lines railway). Historically within the civil parish of Cathcart in Renfrewshire, it is within the Linn ward of Glasgow City Council.

Carmunnock (Scottish Gaelic: Cathair Mhanach) is a conservation village within the City of Glasgow boundary, lying within three miles (five kilometres) of East Kilbride and Rutherglen in South Lanarkshire and Busby in East Renfrewshire. The nearest other district within Glasgow is Castlemilk. This ancient settlement which is associated with the early Christian missionary Saint Cadoc, has a medieval street plan set within the lands of an estate held by variously the Morays of Bothwell, the Earls of Douglas and eventually to the Lords, Marquesses and Dukes of Hamilton until 1700 when it passed to the Stuarts of Castlemilk. The village is a popular residential area. The village has its own primary school (Carmunnock Primary School) with around 178 pupils. There is also a newsagent/village shop. The village hosts its own Highland Games.

King's Park Secondary School, on Fetlar Drive, in the King's Park area (or specifically in the Simshill area) of south Glasgow, is a Scottish non-denominational state school. It was established in 1962.

Castlemilk House was a country house located in what is now the Castlemilk district of Glasgow, Scotland. The house was the ancestral home of the Stirling-Stuart family and was built around the 15th-century Cassiltoun Tower during the 18th and 19th centuries. The house and Castlemilk Estate were purchased by Glasgow Corporation in 1938, with the house serving as a children's home until it was closed in 1969 and demolished in 1972.

Croftfoot railway station is a railway station in South Lanarkshire that lies close to the City of Glasgow / South Lanarkshire boundary serving the Croftfoot area of the City of Glasgow and the Spittal and Bankhead areas of the town of Rutherglen, Scotland. The station is managed by ScotRail and is on the Newton branch of the Cathcart Circle Line.

Simshill is an area of Glasgow, Scotland. It is on the South Side of the city, approximately 3.7 miles (6.0 km) south of the city centre. Adjacent areas are Cathcart, King's Park, Croftfoot and Castlemilk. Linn Park is to the south-west of Simshill. The area had a high concentration of residents of Irish heritage in the postwar period, as members of the city's Irish community moved out to the suburbs from the inner city Gorbals.Kings Park Secondary School is in the immediate area. Two other primary schools are close by: St Fillan's and St Mirin's. Former residents of Simshill include Sir Alex Ferguson and Carol Smillie. and Alistair Albert Gray.

King's Park (Scottish Gaelic: Pàirc an Rìgh, Scots: Keeng's Pairk) is a district in the city of Glasgow, Scotland. It is situated south of the River Clyde and borders the Glasgow areas of Croftfoot, Cathcart, Simshill, Mount Florida and Toryglen and the neighbourhood of Bankhead in the adjoining town of Rutherglen.

King's Park railway station is a railway station serving the King's Park and Simshill areas of Glasgow, Scotland. It is located on the Newton branch of the Cathcart Circle Line, which was electrified by British Railways in 1962. Services are provided by ScotRail on behalf of Strathclyde Partnership for Transport. The Up (Kirkhill bound) platform is signalled for bi-directional running to enable Up trains to depart in the Down direction. In the past this has been used for trains from Langside to depart to Muirend on the Neilston Line. Nowadays trains only depart the 'wrong way' from this platform during times of disruption. At time of electrification there was also an Up Loop, used for stabling Football Specials serving events at the nearby Hampden Park football stadium, although by the mid 1970s this had been lifted.

Linn Park is an 82-hectare (200-acre) park in Glasgow, Scotland, surrounded by the suburbs of Cathcart, Muirend, Simshill, and Castlemilk, also bordering Netherlee in East Renfrewshire. It is Glasgow's third largest park, after Pollok Country Park and Dams to Darnley Country Park, although Dams to Darnley is half in East Renfrewshire. Both Linn and Pollok parks have the White Cart Water flowing through them. Some areas in the park are unsuitable for prams and the infirm.
