Daltmar is a population center that belongs to the municipality of Olèrdola, region of Alt Penedès of the province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It is located a short distance from Vilafranca del Penedes, and is the third-largest city core by population, 626 in 2018

Castellet Castle (Spanish:Castillo de Castellet) is a castle located in the Alt Penedès region of Spain. Built in the 10th century, the castle is designed in the Romanesque style.

The "Guardia Urbana crime" is the name given in Spain to the murder of Pedro Rodríguez, a 38-year-old officer of the Guàrdia Urbana de Barcelona whose charred body was found on 4 May 2017 inside a burned-out car near the Foix Reservoir after a love triangle inside that organization went wrong.

The Can Papiol Romanticism Museum (Catalan: Museu Romàntic Can Papiol) is a museum located in the historic centre of Vilanova i la Geltrú in Catalonia, Spain. It is a manor house dating from the end of the 18th century and is characteristic both for the furniture and decorative elements preserved from the time. Its aim is to evoke 19th-century society by analysing the everyday life of a well-to-do family of the time. The museum is part of the Barcelona Provincial Council Local Museum Network.

The Biblioteca Museu Víctor Balaguer (Víctor Balaguer Museum & Library) is located in Vilanova i la Geltrú and was founded in 1884 by Víctor Balaguer so as to thank the city for its support during his politician career. Since 2000 the museum is part of the National Art Museum of Catalonia and the library is part of the National Library of Catalonia.

The Railway Museum of Catalonia (Catalan: Museu del Ferrocarril de Catalunya; Spanish: Museo del Ferrocarril de Cataluña) is a museum in Vilanova i la Geltrú (Catalonia, Spain). The museum has a large collection of historic railway locomotives and other rolling stock in a former station and roundhouse. It is located close to the railway station in Vilanova i la Geltrú, 40 km south of Barcelona.

L'Arboç (Catalan pronunciation: [ləɾˈβos]) is a village in the province of Tarragona and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. L'Arboç contains a half-scale replica of the La Giralda in Seville. The building also contains copies of the Court of the Lions from the Alhambra, and the Hall of the Ambassadors from the Alcázar of Seville. It also contains a reproduction of the Barcelona Columbus monument. The municipality has an exclave to the north-east.

Olèrdola is a municipality in the comarca of the Alt Penedès in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the northern side of the Garraf massif, and the highest point of the municipality is the Puig de l'Àliga at 468 m. Olèrdola castle controlled the area of the Penedès Depression in the Early Middle Ages, reaching the height of its significance when its castle dominated the region under the control of the rebellious Mir Geribert, "Prince of Olèrdola". Its importance declined from the twelfth century and its administrative role was taken by Vilafranca del Penedès. The territory has been inhabited since the Neolithic period, and Iberic and Roman remains are juxtaposed with the ruins of the castle. The unusual, circular, Roman chapel of the Sant Sepulcre is near La Plana Rodona.

Penedès (Catalan pronunciation: [pənəˈðɛs]) is a natural and historical region of Catalonia. It is located in the south of the Principality of Catalonia between the pre-coastal mountain range (Serralada Pre-litoral) and the Mediterranean Sea. The comarcal division of the Generalitat de Catalunya in 1936 and 1987, divided Penedès into three administrative comarques: Alt Penedès, Baix Penedès and Garraf, and their capitals are Vilafranca del Penedès, el Vendrell and Vilanova i la Geltrú. From the historical point of view, Penedès was since the start of the ninth century a border region inside the county of Barcelona, which had its center in the former military town Olèrdola, fortified again because of the Christian advance in 929. Olèrdola lost its defensive significance and the capital in the second half of the twelfth century and then Vilafranca del Penedès became the capital. During the thirteenth century formed the Vegueria of Vilafranca including all Penedès and most of Anoia as the sots-vegueria of Igualada. The provincial division of 1833 divided the region between the provinces of Barcelona, which includes Alt Penedès and Garraf, and the province of Tarragona, which includes Baix Penedès.

Penedès (Catalan pronunciation: [pənəˈðɛs]) is a Spanish Denominación de Origen Protegida (DOP) (Denominació d'Origen Protegida in Catalan) for wines in Catalonia, (Spain). Penedès DOP includes all of the Penedès region and municipalities of four other counties: Anoia, Alt Camp, Baix Llobregat and Tarragonès. The area is framed by the coastal hills of the Garraf Massif and the higher inland mountains which skirt the Central Depression. Long considered one of the country's best wine-producing regions after the Rioja, it is also one of the most ancient viticultural areas in Europe. Perhaps better-known for its Cava production (a sparkling wine which has had its own Denominación de Origen since 1986) white grape varieties predominate, although the region also produces some highly regarded, oak-aged reds.
