Delphi School

Delphi is an unincorporated community in Thurston County, in the U.S. state of Washington. The community is located approximately west of Tumwater and Black Lake. The town of Littlerock lies to the south.

The Black River National Wildlife Refuge is an in-development wildlife refuge located between Black Lake and the community of Littlerock in Thurston County, Washington. Also known under several different names including the Black River Preserve or Black River Unit, the site is officially part of the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge was established in 1996 after ongoing efforts by local residents and organizations, such as The Nature Conservancy, were undertaken to preserve the rare and undisturbed wetland area. Privately-owned parcels have either been purchased through various groups and government agencies, or have been donated by landowners, to expand the preserve. As of 2026, the official size of the refuge is approximately 2,200 acres (890 ha) with a planned border encompassing 3,600 acres (1,500 ha). Attempts to build asphalt and cement plants, as well as the expansion of a gravel mine, on the border of the preserve during the 2000s were thwarted after years of legal filings. The Black River Unit is home to several waterways and a variety of environments, and includes a diverse habitat of amphibians, birds, native fish, and mammals.

Black Lake is a lake located about 4 miles (6.4 km) southwest of Olympia, Washington. It has two outflows; the Black River, which drains southwest into the Chehalis River and thence to Gray's Harbor and the Pacific Ocean, and Percival Creek, which drains northeast into Capitol Lake and thence into Puget Sound. Black Lake was so named on account of the dark character of its water. The nearby community of Belmore lies east of the lake.

McLane Creek is a stream in Thurston County in the U.S. state of Washington. It enters Puget Sound at the southern end of Mud Bay on Eld Inlet.McLane Creek was named after William McLane, a pioneer settler and territorial politician.In 1999, ashes of Kurt Cobain were scattered in McLane Creek by his daughter.

Noski Creek is a stream in Thurston County in the U.S. state of Washington. It is a tributary to Waddell Creek.A variant name is "Noschka Creek". The creek was named after a pioneer who settled near it in the 1880s.

The Chehalis Gap is a gap in the Coast Range of Washington state between the southernmost foothills of the Olympic Mountains called the Satsop Hills, and the Willapa Hills.The gap is a major geographic feature of the northwestern United States. Other geographic features in the gap include Chehalis River, Grays Harbor, and Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge in its estuary. U.S. Route 12 runs through the gap from Elma near Capitol State Forest to Aberdeen on Grays Harbor near the coast, paralleled by the former U.S. Route 410 and Puget Sound and Pacific Railroad.

KOWA-LP (106.5 FM) was a radio station licensed to Olympia, Washington, United States. The station was last owned by Media Island International, a not for profit public library and resource and networking center. KOWA-LP was a member of the Pacifica Radio Network. KOWA 106.5 LP FM created their own independent media for broadcast on other stations such as this interview with the 22nd Pastors for Peace Cuba Caravanistas in Olympia, Washington on July 6, 2011 and this talk about the Attacks on LGBTQ Community & Unions In Honduras on March 8, 2013. The Federal Communications Commission cancelled KOWA-LP's license on October 18, 2021.

A.G. West Black Hills High School (BHHS) is a public secondary school in Tumwater, Washington serving grades 9–12 in Thurston County. A part of the Tumwater School District, BHHS serves approximately 1,000 students each year. It is situated on 41 acres, and includes a 188,000 square foot building with parking and athletic fields to support high school and community programs.
