Miles Alexander Sherrill House is a historic home located near Sherrills Ford, Catawba County, North Carolina. It was built in 1886, and is a two-story, frame Stick style dwelling. It features irregular massing, steeply pitched gable and shed roofs, and German siding with an overlay of vertical and horizontal boards.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Neill–Turner–Lester House, also known as Five Oaks and the Neill-Lester House, is a historic home located near Sherrills Ford, Catawba County, North Carolina. It was built about 1820, and is a two-story, frame dwelling. It was remodeled and enlarged in 1889 in the Italianate style. The interior retains Federal style design elements from its original construction.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Lake Norman High School is located in Mooresville, North Carolina. The school is a part of the Iredell-Statesville school system. The name of the school comes from nearby Lake Norman. In 2009, Lake Norman High School had the highest graduation rate of North Carolina public non-charter schools, with 95% of the senior class receiving a diploma. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.The community is in the southwestern corner of Iredell County and consists of several peninsulas extending into Lake Norman, a large reservoir on the Catawba River. The CDP is bordered to the northeast by the city of Mooresville and to the south, across an arm of the lake, by the town of Cornelius in Mecklenburg County. The CDP is bordered to the southwest, across the main channel of the lake, by the CDP of Westport in Lincoln County, and to the northwest, also across the main channel, by the CDP of Lake Norman of Catawba in Catawba County.

Lake Norman State Park, formerly Duke Power State Park, is a 1,942-acre (7.86 km2) North Carolina state park near Troutman, Iredell County, North Carolina in the United States. The park is on the northern shore of Lake Norman at the mouth of Hicks Creek. The park is open for year-round recreation including, boating, fishing, water skiing, swimming and camping. Lake Norman State Park is on Inland Sea Road in Troutman just off U.S. Route 70 between Interstates 40 and 77.

The Johnson-Neel House is a private historic house near Mooresville, North Carolina. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.It apparently was built in the 1826-1835 period, probably before 1830. Its construction is attributed to master builder Jacob Stirewalt. Features include a Federal-style stairway including tulip brackets. It also has a fireplace mantel that is very similar to one at Mill Hill, Stirewalt's home in Concord (also NRHP-listed).

Falls–Hobbs House is a historic home located near Statesville, Iredell County, North Carolina. The house is dated to the 1820s or 1830s, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, three bay by two bay, frame dwelling. It has a steeply pitched gable roof, external end chimneys, and rests on a fieldstone foundation. The interior has Georgian, Federal, and Greek Revival style design elements. Also on the property is a contributing well house with a pyramidal roof.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Rock Springs Camp Meeting Ground is a historic Methodist camp meeting ground located near Denver, Lincoln County, North Carolina. The arbor was built in 1832, and is a rectangular open structure with a deep hipped roof and ventilation cap at the apex. It has a raised platform with a pine pulpit and seating for 1,000. The property has 288 numbered wooden "tents" placed in two and a partial third concentric ring around the arbor. Tent No. 1 is believed to date to the early-1830s. Rock Springs Camp Meeting Ground is the earliest camp meeting organization in North Carolina.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
