Fallstown Township is a non-functioning administrative division of Iredell County, North Carolina, United States. By the requirements of the North Carolina Constitution of 1868, the counties were divided into townships, which included Fallstown township as one of sixteen townships in Iredell County.

Neill–Turner–Lester House, also known as Five Oaks and the Neill-Lester House, is a historic home located near Sherrills Ford, Catawba County, North Carolina. It was built about 1820, and is a two-story, frame dwelling. It was remodeled and enlarged in 1889 in the Italianate style. The interior retains Federal style design elements from its original construction.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

South Iredell High School is a public school located near Troutman, North Carolina and is part of the Iredell-Statesville school system. South Iredell High is designated an Expected Growth School of Distinction by the North Carolina ABCs Accountability program. It educates students from surrounding areas including Troutman and south Statesville, North Carolina. The school was constructed in 1966 to replace Troutman High School. The school's enrollment was about 800 students in the 2005–2006 school year. Attendance was double that figure before 2002, when Lake Norman High School was created to alleviate South Iredell's overcrowding. In 2018 the school's enrollment had grown to just under 1600 students. The school has options for both traditional schooling and an IB (International Baccalaureate) Program. The school's mascot is the Viking and the school colors are navy blue and gold.

Troutman is a town in Iredell County, North Carolina, United States. The town is located roughly 35 miles (56 km) north of Charlotte. As of the 2020 census the town's population was 3,698. Due to substantial residential growth in the area, as well as neighborhood annexation, the town is experiencing dramatic population growth. Approved residential developments, when completed, are forecast to increase town population to more than 11,000 residents.

Barium Springs is an unincorporated community in Iredell County, North Carolina, United States. The community is located on the northern border of Troutman along U.S. Route 21. Barium Springs has a post office, with ZIP code 28010.Native Americans named the area Poison Springs, which later became the name of the community's first post office. After a mineral spa opened there in the 1880s, the community changed its name to emphasize the medicinal properties of the barium and other minerals in its waters.Barium Springs is the site of the Barium Springs Home for Children, a home for disadvantaged and troubled children.

Alexander Moore Farm is a historic farm and national historic district located near Catawba, Catawba County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 5 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site. The main house was built in 1843, and is a two-story, frame, vernacular late Federal style farmhouse. Also on the property are the contributing log wagon shed, smokehouse, frame barn, and log barn.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Falls–Hobbs House is a historic home located near Statesville, Iredell County, North Carolina. The house is dated to the 1820s or 1830s, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, three bay by two bay, frame dwelling. It has a steeply pitched gable roof, external end chimneys, and rests on a fieldstone foundation. The interior has Georgian, Federal, and Greek Revival style design elements. Also on the property is a contributing well house with a pyramidal roof.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Marshall Steam Station is a coal power plant located at 35°35′51″N 80°57′53″W in Sherrills Ford, Catawba County, North Carolina, United States and owned by Duke Energy. Named for former company president E.C. Marshall, the station is located on Lake Norman and began commercial operation in 1965. Marshall is the second largest coal facility owned by Duke Energy in the Carolinas. It generates enough electricity (2.09 GW) to power approximately two million homes.

Miles Alexander Sherrill House is a historic home located near Sherrills Ford, Catawba County, North Carolina. It was built in 1886, and is a two-story, frame Stick style dwelling. It features irregular massing, steeply pitched gable and shed roofs, and German siding with an overlay of vertical and horizontal boards.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
