Park kultúry a oddychu abbreviated PKO (English: Park of Culture and Relaxation) and in the past commonly referred to as Pekáč was a complex of buildings in Bratislava, Slovakia on the Bratislava Riverfront by the Danube, built in 1954 and demolished in 2016. Until 2010, the complex was a major place for cultural events in the capital city featuring musical concerts, TV show tapings, balls, high school proms (Slovak: stužková) and dance class graduations (Slovak: venček). In 2010 Park kultúry a oddychu became the focus of a public scandal concerning the signing of some contracts in secret by the then-Mayor of Bratislava Andrej Ďurkovský resulting in the public learning about the building being demolished in the future. The buildings contained many artworks both inside and from the outside. The entrance hall contained 28 stained glass windows by national artist Janko Alexy, the floor in the hall was made from unique colored marble from near Lučenec, the first floor above contained a monumental painting Dožinky by academic painter František Gajdoš. The outside of the main building was decorated with two statues by sculptor Tibor Bártfay, above them was a sgraffito decoration. Park kultúry a oddychu also contained an astronomy section where regular astronomy lectures and nightsky observations were being held. This institution was a lone representative of its kind in the city, uniquely among European capitals, Bratislava lacks both an observatory and a planetarium. Demolition of Park kultúry a oddychu started on 29 December 2015 and finished in the early 2016.

Lanfranconi Bridge (Slovak: Most Lanfranconi, previously Most mládeže or Youth Bridge) is a concrete motorway bridge in Bratislava, Slovakia, located on the D2 motorway. It was built in 1985–1991, with its right half opened in 1990 and the rest in 1992. It is 766 m long (1134 m with access viaducts), and has a 30 m wide four-lane motorway. There are lanes for cyclists and pedestrians as well. It crosses the Danube.

Botanical Garden of the Comenius University (Slovak: Botanická záhrada UK) is the only botanical garden in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. It is located in the Karlova Ves borough, next to the Old Town district and the Lafranconi Bridge by the Bratislava Riverfront and it contains over 4,000 plant species (including 1,200 species of cacti) covering an area of 6.6 hectares. Botanical Garden of the Comenius University is a scientific and pedagogical institution administered by the Comenius University. Its purpose is the maintenance and expansion of its collection of living plants, providing educational support, and providing expert botanical information to the public. It also serves as a facility for experimental acclimatization of non-local plant species for use in forestry and orchard farming. Botanical Garden of the Comenius University is the oldest public botanical garden in Slovakia. It is open to the public from 1 April to 31 October each year during the daytime, and visitors have to pay an entry fee.

The Faculty of Natural Sciences (FNS) (Slovak: Prírodovedecká Fakulta (PriF UK)) is a faculty of the Comenius University in Bratislava.

Chatam Sofer Memorial, formerly the Old Jewish Cemetery is the burial place and memorial of Moses Sofer, a prominent orthodox rabbi from the 19th century, built on the site of a 17th-century Jewish cemetery in Bratislava, Slovakia. The historical cemetery was mostly destroyed with the construction of the road tunnel under Bratislava Castle in 1943 but negotiations with the clero-fascist Slovak leader Jozef Tiso allowed an important fraction of the cemetery containing the graves of the rabbis to be preserved encased in concrete. Later, when the tunnel was converted for public transport trams a tram stop was constructed above the site. In 2002 a modern memorial was erected above the site and it was partially opened to the public.

The Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics (FMPH; Slovak: FMFI; Slovak: Fakulta matematiky, fyziky a informatiky; colloquial: Matfyz) is one of 13 faculties of the Comenius University in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. The faculty provides higher education in mathematics, physics and informatics, as well as teacher training in subjects related to these branches of study. It was established in 1980 by separating from the Faculty of Natural Sciences under the name of Faculty of Mathematics and Physics (Slovak: Matematicko-fyzikálna fakulta). Its name was changed to the contemporary name in 2000. In 2015, Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics was ranked first in the group of natural sciences in the ranking of faculties in Slovakia by the Academic Ranking and Rating Agency (ARRA).The campus is located in Mlynská dolina in Bratislava, along with the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Comenius University, the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of the Slovak University of Technology. Endowment of the faculty in 2015 was €11.7 million.

The Department of Computer Science (Slovak: Katedra informatiky) is a department of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics at the Comenius University in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. It is headed by Prof. RNDr. Branislav Rovan, Phd.

The Slovak Television Building (Slovak: Budova tvorby programu RTVS or Slovenská televízia veža) (formerly known as the BTP ČST Bratislava between 1975 and 1991, and BTP STV or coloquially STV/RTVS High-rise Building between 1991 and 2011) is a skyscraper in Bratislava, Slovakia. Standing at a total of 108 metres (354 ft) tall and being divided into 27 (+1) floors, the landmark tower is currently unused. It previously hosted the headquarters of the Slovak National Television (STV) and Radio and Television of Slovakia (RTVS).

Radio and Television of Slovakia (Slovak: Rozhlas a televízia Slovenska [ˈrɔzɦlas a ˈteleʋiːzɪɐ ˈslɔʋenska]) or RTVS is a nationwide public broadcasting, state-funded organisation in Slovakia. It is headquartered in Bratislava and led by Ľuboš Machaj.

Slovak Television and Radio (Slovak: Slovenská televízia a rozhlas [ˈslɔʋenskaː ˈteleʋiːzɪɐ a ˈrɔzɦlas]), in short STVR), is a Slovak de jure public law, national, informational, cultural and educational institution that guarantees public broadcasting in Slovakia. De facto it is a state broadcaster. Its headquarters are located in Bratislava and led by acting General Director Igor Slanina. Radio and Television of Slovakia (RTVS) transformed into Slovak Television and Radio (STVR) on 1 July, 2024, however, the new organisation will keep RTVS logo and visual layout for a few months.

The Bratislava Zoo (Slovak: Zoologická záhrada Bratislava) is a zoo in Bratislava, Slovakia. It is located in the area of Mlynská dolina in the borough Karlova Ves. Opened in 1960, it is the second oldest zoo in Slovakia. The zoo covers an area of 96 hectares (240 acres), out of which 35 hectares (86 acres) is open to the public. The zoo receives on average around 300,000 visitors annually. As of 2020, it is home to over 1150 specimens of 169 animal species and is open every day of the year, with the exception of 1 January. Major attractions include white lions, white tigers and DinoPark, featuring moving life-sized sculptures of dinosaurs. ZOO Bratislava was one of the first zoos in Europe that was successful in breeding Eurasian lynx in captivity.

The National Council of the Slovak Republic (Slovak: Národná rada Slovenskej republiky), abbreviated to NR SR, is the national parliament of Slovakia. It is unicameral and consists of 150 members, who are elected by universal suffrage under proportional representation with seats distributed via Hagenbach-Bischoff quota every four years.Slovakia's parliament has been called the 'National Council' since 1 October 1992. From 1969 to 1992, its predecessor, the parliament of the Slovak part of Czechoslovakia, was called the Slovak National Council (Slovak: Slovenská národná rada). The National Council approves domestic legislation, constitutional laws, and the annual budget. Its consent is required to ratify international treaties, and is responsible for approving military operations. It also elects individuals to some positions in the executive and judiciary, as specified by law.The parliament building is in Bratislava, Slovakia's capital, next to Bratislava Castle in Alexander Dubček Square.
