Moravský Svätý Ján (Hungarian: Morvaszentjános) is a village and municipality in Senica District in the Trnava Region of western Slovakia.

The Myjava River is a river in western Slovakia and for a small part in the Czech Republic and left tributary of the Morava. It is 80 km (50 mi) long.It rises in the White Carpathians near the village of Nová Lhota in Moravia, but crosses the Czech-Slovak border shortly afterwards and flows in a southern direction until the town of Myjava, where it enters the Myjava Hills and turns west. Near Sobotište it flows into the Záhorie Lowland and turns south until the village of Jablonica, turning northwest and from Senica it flows west, passing through Šaštín-Stráže and finally flowing into the Morava River near Kúty.

Borský Svätý Jur (German: Bur-Sankt-Georg; Hungarian: Búrszentgyörgy) is a village and municipality in Senica District in the Trnava Region of western Slovakia.

Kúty, (German: Kutti; Hungarian: Jókút) is a village and municipality in Senica District in the Trnava Region of western Slovakia.

Závod (Hungarian: Pozsonyzávod) is a village and municipality within the Malacky District in the Bratislava region of western Slovakia. As of 31 December 2009, the municipality had an area of 27.3 km2, population of 2784 inhabitants in 2016 and a population density of 101 people per km2.

The Thaya (Czech: Dyje [ˈdɪjɛ]) is a river in Central Europe, the longest tributary to the river Morava. Its drainage basin is 12,772 km2 (4,931 sq mi). It is 224 km (139 mi) (322 km (200 mi) with its longest source river German Thaya) long and meanders from west to east in the border area between Lower Austria (Austria) and South Moravia (Czech Republic), though the frontier does not exactly follow the river's course in most parts. Its source is in two smaller rivers, namely the German Thaya (Deutsche Thaya) and the Moravian Thaya (Czech: Moravská Dyje, German: Mährische Thaya), flowing together at Raabs an der Thaya. The confluence of Thaya and Morava is the southernmost and the lowest point of Moravia. Its name means "the inert". There is also a small village which bears the name Dyje, located near Znojmo.

Abrod is a national nature reserve in the Slovak municipality of Veľké Leváre in the Malacky District. The nature reserve covers an area of 92 ha of the Borská lowland area. It has a protection level of 4 under the Slovak nature protection system. The nature reserve is part of the Site of Community Importance with the same name which measures 162 ha. Since 1988 it is also a part of the Záhorie Protected Landscape Area.

Kuklov (Hungarian: Kukló) is a village and municipality in Senica District in the Trnava Region of western Slovakia.

Brodské (Hungarian: Gázlós) is a village and municipality in Skalica District in the Trnava Region of western Slovakia. Brodské is a small village lying on the left side of the Morava river, which makes border with the Czech Republic and Austria. In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1163. The population of Brodské is around 2370 inhabitants (2006). In the middle of the village there is a Roman Catholic church devoted to St. Anton abbot, municipal hall and post office.

Záhorie (Hungarian: Erdőhát) is a region in western Slovakia between the Little Carpathians to the east and the Morava River to the west. Although not an administrative region, it is one of the 21 official tourism regions in Slovakia. Záhorie lies in the area of three administrative regions: Bratislava Region (Malacky District plus Záhorská Bystrica in Bratislava), Trnava Region (Senica and Skalica districts) and Trenčín Region (southern part of Myjava District). The region also creates the borders between Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Austria. A military district of the same name is located around Malacky.

Veľké Leváre (Hungarian: Nagylévárd, Nagy-Lévárd, German: Gross-Schützen, Großschützen) is a village and municipality in western Slovakia in Malacky District in the Bratislava region. The first written notice about the village has its origins in the year 1378. The village Veľké Leváre is situated in the reach of these well-known centers: Bratislava, Vienna, and Brno. The village is placed on a historically important trade route; its history is recorded as a settlement of archers and as a border watch post.

Hohenau an der March (Czech: Cáhnov, Slovak: Cahnov) is a town in the district of Gänserndorf in the Austrian state of Lower Austria, close to Vienna and the borders with the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
