The Memorial to the Heroes of the Red Flags (Polish: Pomnik Bohaterom Czerwonych Sztandarów) is a large concrete sculpture in Dąbrowa Górnicza, Silesian Voivodeship, Poland, placed at the Freedom Square, in front of the Basin Palace of Culture. It was designed by Augustyn Dyrda and unveiled on 8 November 1970, for the 53rd anniversary of the October Revolution in Russia. It was dedicated to the insurgents of the Polish Socialist Party, who, during the 1905 revolution in the Kingdom of Poland, declared independence of Dąbrowa Basin, lasting for the following 10 days. The monument consists of three large statues of revolutionaries, standing in front of two large flags flying in the wind, with their poles forming the V sign.

The statue of Jimi Hendrix (Polish: Pomnik Jimiego Hendrixa) is a bronze statue in Dąbrowa Górnicza, Silesian Voivodeship, Poland, placed at the Freedom Square. It was designed by Adam Szczepański and unveiled on 20 September 2012. It depicts Jimi Hendrix, a 20th-century rock singer-songwriter and musician, sitting on a bench, while playing on his electric guitar.

Dąbrowa Górnicza railway station is a railway station in Dąbrowa Górnicza, Poland. As of 2012, it is served by Przewozy Regionalne (local and InterRegio services) and PKP Intercity (TLK services). InterRegio and TLK services are on the line between Warsaw and Katowice.

Dąbrowa Górnicza (, German: Dombrowa) is a city in Zagłębie Dąbrowskie, southern Poland, near Katowice and Sosnowiec. It is located in eastern part of the Silesian Voivodeship, on the Czarna Przemsza and Biała Przemsza rivers (tributaries of the Vistula, see Przemsza). Even though Dąbrowa Górnicza belongs to the historic province of Lesser Poland, it now is situated in the Silesian Voivodeship (since 1999), and previously (1975–1998) it was in Katowice Voivodeship. Dąbrowa Górnicza is one of the cities of the Katowice urban area (2.7 million people), and within the greater Silesian metropolitan area (5.2 million people). The population of the city itself as of December 2021 is 116,971.

The Dąbrowa Basin (also, Dąbrowa Coal Basin) or Zagłębie Dąbrowskie (Polish pronunciation: [zaˈɡwɛmbʲjɛ dɔmˈbrɔfskʲjɛ]) is a geographical and historical region in southern Poland. It forms western part of Lesser Poland, though it shares some cultural and historical features with the neighbouring Upper Silesia. The region is sometimes referred to in English as Zaglembie or Zaglembia, especially in Jewish publications written in the English language.

Expo Silesia is a former exhibition and trade fair center located in the city of Sosnowiec, Poland in the Silesian Voivodeship, located on the border with Dąbrowa Górnicza, 12 km from Katowice. The center provided exhibitors with 13.5 thousand m2 of exhibition space in an air-conditioned pavilion, 20 thousand m2 of external exhibition space, car parks for 1500 cars and a conference center that can serve up to 8060 guests, conference rooms that can be divided into smaller modules for 50 to 200 people, merged up to 400 people; In the form of a banquet or concert hall, the halls could accommodate up to 14,000 people.The center was located in place of the Silma factory, and was funded by Kolporter Expo Ltd (a member of the Kolporter Group).

Zagórze is the biggest, northernmost district of Sosnowiec, totally transformed with building the Huta Katowice (expanded, reached as far as Klimontów).

Preczów [ˈprɛt͡ʂuf] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Psary, within Będzin County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) east of Psary, 7 km (4 mi) north-east of Będzin, and 19 km (12 mi) north-east of the regional capital Katowice.

Zagłębiowski Park Sportowy, officially called ArcelorMittal Park for sponsorship reasons is a sports complex in Środula, Sosnowiec, Poland and is the home of Zagłębie Sosnowiec. Complex consists of a football stadium, ice hockey arena and indoor arena.

Środula Park (Polish: Park Środula) is a municipal park in Sosnowiec, located at the end of 3 Maja Street, between the Środula district near Norwida Street, the Zagórze district near Blachnickiego Street, and gen. Zaruskiego Street. The park covers an area of 10.038 hectares in developed areas, and approximately 45 hectares with adjacent woodlands lacking regular paths. The entire park is situated on a hillside (295 m above sea level), with an artificial slope reaching a height of 319.5 m above sea level. The vast summit offers a panoramic view of the surrounding area. At the foot of the hills, a line of old trees marks the course of an old road leading to Kraków, now Małe Zagórze Street. In the northeastern part, there is a small body of water. The park is covered with rows of low, trimmed shrubs and trees. The vegetation is entirely planted, with all plantings having been established in stages after 1991. During the winter season, the park is used for skiing and snowboarding. In the summer, it is used for mountain biking, Nordic walking, mountainboarding, and running.

Środula is a former village in Poland, now the northern district of the town of Sosnowiec, Poland. Edward Gierek, a former leader of Poland (the 4th First Secretary of the Polish United Workers' Party) during the communist era, is buried there.

Łagisza Power Station (Polish: Elektrownia Łagisza) is a coal-fired thermal power station at Łagisza in Będzin, Poland. The power plant has a total installed power capacity of 1,060 MW and installed cogeneration thermal capacity of 335 MW. It is operated by Południowy Koncern Energetyczny, a subsidiary of the Tauron Group.Construction of the power station started in 1960, after it was decided in 1958 to build it. In 1963–1967, seven units with 120 MW generation capacity each were built. These units used two flue gas stacks: one with a height of 200 metres (660 ft) and one with a height of 160 metres (520 ft). On 12 May 2006, construction of a new unit with 460 MW unit started. It was the world's first supercritical circulating fluidized bed project with the world's largest circulating fluidized bed boiler. The boiler was supplied by Foster Wheeler, while automation was supplied by Metso Automation. The generator was supplied by Alstom. The power station went in service on 30 June 2009, being built adjacent to the two old boilers it replaced. An interesting feature is that it has no chimney, as the new 133.2 metres (437 ft) tall cooling tower takes this function.
