San Michele Arcangelo, Venice

Campo Sant'Angelo, also known as Campo Sant'Anzolo, is a city square in the sestiere of San Marco, in the city of Venice, Italy. The piazza is asymmetric, and bounded on the South-West by the Rio di San Anzolo, across which stands the former monastery of Santo Stefano. In the piazza is a small building, the 10th-century Oratorio di Sant'Angelo degli Zoppi, once allied to a school for the crippled. The bounds of the piazza include the Palazzo Trevisan Pisani, the Palazzo Gritti Morosini, and the Palazzo Duodo a Sant'Angelo. In this latter palace, the composer Domenico Cimarosa died while in exile from the Kingdom of Naples.

San Angelo degli Zoppi is a Gothic-style oratory or prayer hall, located in Campo Sant'Angelo in the Sestiere of San Marco, in Venice, Italy.

The Palazzo Trevisan Pisani is a Renaissance-style palace situated in the Campo Sant'Angelo in the sestieri of San Marco in Venice, Italy. The palace belonged originally to the Trevisan family, a branch of which lived in this parish in the fourteenth century. In 1661 it was occupied by Antonio and David Trevisan. By the early part of the eighteenth century it was owned and occupied by Benetto Pisani, whose grandson, also Benetto, died in 1781 leaving a daughter, married to Alvise Mocenigo of Casa Vecchia San Samuele, and no male heir. The palace was sold, and in 1808, the palace the joint property of Giovanni Sacogna and Giovanni Brijovich.

San Marco is one of the six sestieri of Venice, lying in the heart of the city as the main place of Venice. San Marco also includes the island of San Giorgio Maggiore. Although the district includes Saint Mark's Square, that was never administered as part of the sestiere.

San Maurizio is a Neoclassical-style, deconsecrated church located in the campo San Maurizio in the sestiere of San Marco of the city of Venice, Italy. It now is a Museum focusing on the music of Baroque Venice. A church was present at the site before the first reconstruction in the 16th century. A further reconstruction took place in 1806 by the La Fenice's architect Giannantonio Selva. It once housed a studio of a young Antonio Canova. Near the church was built the scuola degli Albanesi. The present structure is mainly a design of the Neoclassic architect Giovanni Antonio Selva. The church now houses the Museo della Musica, museum of baroque instruments, composers, and music of Venice. It features period instruments, and documents, including exhibits on Antonio Vivaldi, but also documents on Amati, Giovanni Battista Guadagnini, and Francesco and Matteo Goffriller. Entrance, as of 2020, is free.

The Scuola di Santa Maria degli Albanesi (School of Holy Mary of the Albanians in English; Shkolla e Shën Mërisë së Arbërorëvet in Albanian) was a confraternity, a Scuola Piccola, for Albanian Christians Catholics (Greek-Byzantine and Roman-Latin), in Venice, northern Italy. Its building subsists.

Artempo: Where Time Becomes Art was an encyclopedic art exhibition created for the Palazzo Fortuny, Venice in 2007. It examined the relationship between art and time, and the power of display. The exhibition included variations of cultures and periods, and featured objects ranging from simple "objecte trouve", archaeological materials, applied art, old, classical, and modern art, to contemporary installations.The exhibition was made by Mattijs Visser and Axel Vervoordt, together with Jean-Hubert Martin. The accompanying book included essays by philosopher Massimo Cacciari, the curator from Magiciens de la terre, Jean-Hubert Martin, the former director of Centre Georges Pompidou, Heinz-Norbert Jocks, as well as Eddi de Wolf and Visser.

The Palazzo Pesaro Orfei or Palazzo Pesaro degli Orfei is a historic palace in Venice, in northern Italy. It was built by the Pesaro family in the fifteenth century in Venetian Gothic style. From 1902 it was the home of Mariano Fortuny and his wife Henriette Negrin.: 49  It now houses the Museo Fortuny, and may also be called Palazzo Fortuny.

The Museo Fortuny or Fortuny Museum is an art museum in San Marco, in central Venice, Italy. The museum is housed in the Palazzo Pesaro Orfei, now often known as Palazzo Fortuny, where Mariano Fortuny (1871–1949) had a studio in the late nineteenth century, and lived from 1902.: 49 The museum presents paintings, fabrics, and Fortuny’s lamps on the first floor, together with the history of the palazzo and its atelier on the second floor. The building still has features created by Fortuny. The working environment is represented through wall-hangings, paintings, and lamps. Fortuny died in 1949, and in 1956 the Palazzo Pesaro Orfei was gifted to the comune of Venice; the comune took full possession only in 1965, after the death of Fortuny's widow, Henriette Negrin. The Teatro San Benedetto was a theatre in Venice, particularly prominent in the operatic life of the city in the 18th and early 19th centuries. It saw the premieres of over 140 operas, including Rossini's L'italiana in Algeri, and was the theatre of choice for the presentation of opera seria until La Fenice was built in 1792.

The Chiesa di Santa Maria del Giglio is a church in Venice, Italy. The church, whose name translates into St. Mary of the Lily referring to the flower classically depicted as being presented by the Angel Gabriel during the Annunciation), is more commonly known as Santa Maria Zobenigo after the Jubanico family who founded it in the 9th century. The edifice is situated on the Campo Santa Maria Zobenigo, west of the Piazza San Marco. It was rebuilt by Giuseppe Sardi for Admiral Antonio Barbaro between 1678 and 1681 and has one of the finest Venetian Baroque facades in all of Venice. The church is now part of the parish of San Moisè.

The Chiesa di San Benedetto (Church of Saint Benedict) is a Roman Catholic church in Venice, northern Italy. Generally known as San Beneto in the Venetian dialect, the church faces the square named after it, the Campo San Beneto. It was founded in the 11th century and rebuilt in 1685. San Beneto is a vicariale (subsidiary) church of the parish of San Luca.
