Crescent Beach is a beachside community within the South Surrey town centre of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada next to Boundary Bay and Mud Bay, across from Delta, British Columbia. It is home to 1,200 residents, mostly in single-family homes.

Mud Bay is the name of the northeast side of Boundary Bay on the Canada–United States border, and an unincorporated place on the bay.

The Serpentine River's headwaters are in North Surrey, British Columbia. The river winds its way to its mouth at Mud Bay, off the Strait of Georgia and is extensively irrigated. It has a watershed area of 116 km2 and a total length of 35 km.The marshy Serpentine Wildlife Area ('Serpentine Fen') near where the river passes beneath King George Boulevard, is a stopping place for migratory birds, waterfowl and a variety of animals.

The South Surrey Park and Ride is a bus loop and park and ride facility serving the South Surrey area. As part of the TransLink system, it is used by five routes serving South Surrey and White Rock, including towards Vancouver via Bridgeport station in Richmond as well as to Newton and Surrey City Centre.

Sunnyside is a neighbourhood of South Surrey, which in turn is a region of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.

South Surrey Athletic Park is a popular recreational park in the White Rock/South Surrey community. The park is bound by 18th avenue to the south, 148th street to the east, 24th avenue to the North and Sunnyside Urban Acres Forest to the west. The park has three baseball diamonds, an indoor baseball training facility, tennis and volleyball courts, a number of grass and artificial turf soccer fields and an outdoor red urethane oval track. There are also four multi-purpose fields adjacent to Semiahmoo Secondary School that are commonly used for football, rugby and soccer. The park also has a skateboarding facility, an outdoor waterpark, a mountain bike park, a youth community centre and a Rotary Field house.South Surrey Athletic Park is home to two large establishments: Softball City, a softball complex with four diamonds that is host to the annual Canada Cup international women's fastpitch tournament, and South Surrey Arena, a hockey arena that is home to the South Surrey Eagles. Many other local teams play (or played) their home games at South Surrey Athletic Park, including: The White Rock Tritons of the B.C. Premier Baseball League, the Big Kahuna Rams, the Peace Arch Soccer Club, Coastal Football Club, and the Surrey Beavers and Bayside Sharks of the BC Rugby League.Scenes from the 1998 film Air Bud: Golden Receiver were shot at South Surrey Athletic Park.

The Serpentine Wildlife Management Area is a small wildlife management area located on the south coast of British Columbia in Surrey. It contains many kilometers of walking trail and viewing towers to enjoy the nature and observe the many species found in the area. Although the boundaries have changed over the years, the Government of British Columbia still manages the land to ensure it meets the currents goals that were set in place to protect the local and endangered species that inhabit the area as well as monitoring the effects of climate change. This is done in partnership with Ducks Unlimited Canada, although the land falls within the territories of the Semiahmoo and Tsawwassen First Nation.

Surrey/King George Airpark (TC LID: CSK8) was located 1.7 nautical miles (3.1 km; 2.0 mi) southwest of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. NAV Canada announced in a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) on September 30, 2020, that this airpark is permanently closed.

Semiahmoo Secondary School ( SEM-ee-AH-moh) is a public high school in South Surrey, British Columbia, and is part of School District 36 Surrey. It was founded in 1940 as the first senior secondary school in South Surrey. The school serves grades eight through twelve.Semiahmoo is one of four public high schools on the peninsula, along with Earl Marriott Secondary School, Elgin Park Secondary School and Grandview Heights Secondary School. The school is named after the indigenous Semiahmoo people.

Panorama Ridge Secondary is a public high school in the Vancouver suburb of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada and is part of School District 36 Surrey. It has a French immersion program for students in grades 8-12 and approximately 20% of the school's students are enrolled in that program. The school's website publishes notices in both English and Punjabi. It opened in September 2006, and is the second newest secondary school in the Surrey School District.
