Ark Walworth Academy is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form located in the Walworth area of London, England.

The Lord Nelson is a Grade II listed public house at 386 Old Kent Road, Bermondsey, London.It is on the Campaign for Real Ale's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors.It was built in the early 19th century.

Surrey Square is a garden square in Walworth in the London Borough of Southwark. Located just off the Old Kent Road it was laid out in the 1790s to designs by the architect Michael Searles, who also oversaw the nearby Paragon at what is now Bricklayers Arms. The square takes its name from the county of Surrey in which Walworth was traditionally located. When built it would have been semi-rural and designed to provide upmarket housing for the expanding population of the capital. Within two years of the first stone being laid in 1792 it was fully occupied. Amongst notable early residents was the painter Samuel Palmer who was born there in 1805.While northern side of the square was filled with terraced housing, the other three were initially open spaces. They were slowly filled with individual houses and All Saints Church. The square, already oblong-shaped came to and less and less resemble a traditional square as more buildings were added to fill up the middle section, part of which is now known as Surrey Square Park. Surrey Square Primary School is located on the northern side.

Bricklayers Arms was a railway station in Southwark opened by the London and Croydon Railway and the South Eastern Railway in 1844 as an alternative to the London and Greenwich Railway's terminus at London Bridge. The station was at the end of a short branch line from the main line to London Bridge and served as a passenger terminus for a few years before being converted to a goods station and engineering facility. The goods station closed in 1981.

The Carnaval del Pueblo is a festival celebrating Latin American culture, held in Burgess Park, London in the first week of August.The carnival features a spectacular procession of exotic floats, costumes, musicians and dancers, making their way through London Bridge, along Borough High Street, Elephant and Castle and Walworth Road, finally arriving in Burgess Park. The event incorporates elements of Latin American culture, featuring dance rhythms, food and music. Throughout the day, a mixture of musicians perform on the four stages set up around the park. In 2006, there were appearances from Puerto Rican reggaeton star Andy Boy and the Colombian all-woman orchestra Canela, among many others. U.K Reggaeton acts Flow Latino & D-KeL performed at the Carnival Del Pueblo 2007, after which, they got widespread recognition, resulting in them forming their debut production and music video companies. The festival has enabled both acts as well as other upcoming artists to champion Latin urban music in the U.K. and gain airplay at a number of radio stations and clubs in London. In 2011, the carnival was cancelled due to public works in the park. The festival returned to Burgess Park in 2014.

Burgess Park is a public park situated in Camberwell the London Borough of Southwark, and is close to Walworth to the north and Bermondsey to the east. At 56 hectares (140 acres), it is one of the largest parks in South London.Unlike most other parks in London, Burgess Park was carved out of a highly built-up area of the city. Virtually all the land now occupied by the park was previously used for housing, industry and transport infrastructure.

Bermondsey and Old Southwark is a constituency in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament. Since 2015, it has been represented by Neil Coyle, who was elected as a Labour MP but was suspended from the party in February 2022 following an accusation of racism.

Bermondsey Spa Gardens is a park in Bermondsey, London. It is located on Grange Road, SE1 3AH. The park has been included in the recent and ongoing regeneration of the Bermondsey Spa area. The 4.5-acre (18,000 m2) park, with improvements designed by the architects Broadway Malyan, is intended to act as a focal point for the surrounding area.

The Mandela Way T-34 Tank, nicknamed Stompie, is a decommissioned Soviet-built T-34-85 medium tank, which used to be located on the corner of Mandela Way and Page's Walk in Bermondsey, London, England. The tank was regularly repainted in a wide variety of colour schemes, often by graffiti artists. It has now been temporarily removed for restoration.

Newington Workhouse was an institution for indoor relief of the poor at 182 Westmoreland Road, (now Beaconsfield Road), Walworth, London, in what is now the London Borough of Southwark. It became the Newington Lodge Public Assistance Institution in 1930, and was converted into social housing in 1948. The building was demolished in 1969.

St Philip's Church, Avondale Square (also known as St Philip the Apostle, Camberwell and St Philip and St Mark's, Camberwell) is a parish church within the Avondale Square Estate in Camberwell in the London Borough of Southwark. It is dedicated to St Philip the Apostle. The church is in the Archdeaconry of Southwark, in the Diocese of Southwark.
