Bricklayers Arms was a railway station in Southwark opened by the London and Croydon Railway and the South Eastern Railway in 1844 as an alternative to the London and Greenwich Railway's terminus at London Bridge. The station was at the end of a short branch line from the main line to London Bridge and served as a passenger terminus for a few years before being converted to a goods station and engineering facility. The goods station closed in 1981.

It is the junction of Tower Bridge Road, Old Kent Road, New Kent Road and Great Dover Street. It comprises a four-way green roundabout plus one-way flyover and one-way bypass lane. The latter help traffic using any of the six road bridges west of London Bridge to access the arterial road to and from the south-east quadrant of the orbital motorway, Old Kent Road. Specifically, eastbound traffic from New Kent Road to Old Kent Road can use the flyover; the reverse flow can use the ground-level bypass lane. The junction is named after a coaching inn that stood here, in turn related to the prowess of Kent in brickmaking. It is centred 500 metres north-west of Mandela Way which was at the heart of the main goods and locomotive sheds named the Bricklayers Arm depots and similar.

M.Manze is a restaurant in the Bermondsey district of London, England. It is known for serving pie and mash with eel and was first opened in 1892. As of 2024, two other locations are operating and still run by the Manze family under the M.Manze brand, in Peckham and Sutton.

Bermondsey Square is on Tower Bridge Road in Bermondsey, south London, England. It was the site of the 11th century Bermondsey Abbey. The earliest medieval remains found are a Norman church from around 1080, which was recorded in the Domesday Book. The area has subsequently undergone redevelopment and Bermondsey Square now contains apartments, offices, a boutique hotel, restaurants, an independent cinema and Bermondsey Market. Long Lane, leading northwest to Borough High Street, linked the Abbey with St George the Martyr church. To the west and heading north from the square is Bermondsey Street, leading to Tooley Street and London Bridge station.

Bermondsey Market (also known as New Caledonian Market and Bermondsey Square Antiques Market) is an antiques market at Bermondsey Square on Tower Bridge Road in Bermondsey, south London, England. The location was formerly the site of Bermondsey Abbey.

Surrey Square is a garden square in Walworth in the London Borough of Southwark. Located just off the Old Kent Road it was laid out in the 1790s to designs by the architect Michael Searles, who also oversaw the nearby Paragon at what is now Bricklayers Arms. The square takes its name from the county of Surrey in which Walworth was traditionally located. When built it would have been semi-rural and designed to provide upmarket housing for the expanding population of the capital. Within two years of the first stone being laid in 1792 it was fully occupied. Amongst notable early residents was the painter Samuel Palmer who was born there in 1805.While northern side of the square was filled with terraced housing, the other three were initially open spaces. They were slowly filled with individual houses and All Saints Church. The square, already oblong-shaped came to and less and less resemble a traditional square as more buildings were added to fill up the middle section, part of which is now known as Surrey Square Park. Surrey Square Primary School is located on the northern side.

Most widely known as being founded in the 11th century, it had a precursor mentioned in the early eighth century, and was centred on what is now Bermondsey Square, the site of Bermondsey Market, Bermondsey, in the London Borough of Southwark, southeast London, England.

It is a voluntary aided Church of England school in the Anglican Diocese of Southwark and is affiliated to the Woodard Schools group.

St Mary Magdalen Bermondsey is an Anglican church dedicated to St Mary Magdalen in Bermondsey in the London Borough of Southwark. The majority of the present building is late 17th century and is Grade II* listed.Its parish extends as far as the Thames (including the south tower of Tower Bridge, City Hall and part of London Bridge station). The parishes of St Olave Tooley Street, St Luke Grange Road and St John Horsleydown have all been merged into it.
