The National Museum in Poznań (Polish: Muzeum Narodowe w Poznaniu), Poland, abbreviated MNP, is a state-owned cultural institution and one of the largest museums in Poland. It houses a rich collection of Polish painting from the 16th century on, and a collection of foreign painting (Italian, Spanish, Dutch and German). The museum is also home to numismatic collections and a gallery of applied arts.

Poznań Voivodeship 14th century to 1793 (Latin: Palatinatus Posnaniensis, Polish: Województwo Poznańskie) was a unit of administrative division and local government in Poland from the 14th century to the Second Partition of Poland in 1793. It was part of the Greater Polish prowincja.

Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts Poznan Poznań (in Polish: Uniwersytet Artystyczny im. Magdaleny Abakanowicz w Poznaniu) is one of the major fine-art academies in Poland. It was founded in 1919 as the State School of Decorative Arts (Pol. Państwowa Szkoła Sztuki Zdobniczej).

The Royal Castle in Poznań (Polish: Zamek Królewski w Poznaniu) dates from 1249 and the reign of Przemysł I. Located in the Polish city of Poznań, it was largely destroyed during the Second World War but has since been partly rebuilt.

The Children of June of '56 (Polish: Dzieci Czerwca ’56) is a bronze statue in Poznań, Poland. It is placed at 3 Młyńska Street, within the Old Town neighbourhood. It is a sculpture of two small children wearing military uniforms, and is dedicated to the children who participated in the fights of the 1956 Poznań protests. It was unveiled at its current location on 23 June 1996.

Działyński Palace in Poznań, Poland is a Baroque palace built in 1773 - 1776. The building features a rich stucco-decorated interior of its "Red Hall" and a classicist façade decorated with sculptures. The palace serves as one of the locations of Kórnik Library today.

The Polish Theatre in Poznań (Polish: Teatr Polski w Poznaniu lub Teatr Polski w ogrodzie Potockiego w Poznaniu) is a Polish repertory theatre founded in 1875. Is one of the oldest and best-known theatres in Poland.

The Cyprian Norwid Theatre in Jelenia Góra (Polish: Teatr im. Cypriana Kamila Norwida w Jeleniej Górze) is a Polish repertory theatre founded in 1945. The Norwid Theatre in Jelenia Góra has two stages: Main Stage (540 seats) and Studio Stage (100 seats). The theatre is named after Cyprian Norwid. Polish actress and stage director Alina Obidniak was an intendant of the Cyprian Norwid Theatre between 1973 and 1988, as well as in year 2000. Obidniak invited many renowned theatre directors to Jelenia Góra, particularly Krystian Lupa, where he began his directing career with the production of Dainty Shapes and Hairy Apes by Witkacy (1978). She travelled with the theatre's productions across Europe and South America. In 1983, the Cyprian Norwid Theatre co-organised early Festival of Street Theatre in Jelenia Góra.

Wielkopolska Museum of Independence is a museum, a local cultural institution organized by the city of Poznań. The scope of the museum's activities includes collecting and making available collections on the independence uprisings and organic work during the partitions, the period of the Second Republic of Poland, fighting and martyrdom during World War II, as well as protests and opposition activities in the years 1945-1989. Before the name was changed, the museum was known as the Wielkopolska Museum of the Fight for Independence.The Chairman of the Museum Council in the 2016–2020 term is professor Zbigniew Pilarczyk from Adam Mickiewicz University, while the Director is Tomasz Łęcki.The museum is entered in the list of museums kept by the minister in charge of culture and national heritage protection.

1952 Poznań Pe-2 crash was an aviation accident that occurred in Poznań on 10 June 1952. The exact number of victims is unknown; it is believed that three crew members and six civilians (pedestrians and workers at the crash site) were killed, while several others sustained injuries. Since the disaster took place during the Stalinist era, all information about it was classified. Although the accident occurred in the city center, it remained forgotten for a long time, even after the democratic transformations of 1989. The first article about it was only published in 2007 in the local press.

Old Market Place (Polish: Stary Rynek) is the center and oldest part of the Old Town of Poznań, Poland. This market is the third largest market square in Poland, after Main Square in Kraków, and Market Square in Wrocław.
