The Raczyński Library (Polish: Biblioteka Raczyńskich w Poznaniu) is a public library founded by Count Edward Raczyński in Poznań. The library's building was erected in 1822–1828 with the financial support of Edward Raczyński Foundation. The structure of a classical building features a colonnade reminiscent of the eastern façade of the Louvre. In front of the main building of the library stands the Hygieia's Fountain statue created by Albert Wolff in 1841.

The National Museum in Poznań (Polish: Muzeum Narodowe w Poznaniu), Poland, abbreviated MNP, is a state-owned cultural institution and one of the largest museums in Poland. It houses a rich collection of Polish painting from the 16th century on, and a collection of foreign painting (Italian, Spanish, Dutch and German). The museum is also home to numismatic collections and a gallery of applied arts.

Poznań Voivodeship 14th century to 1793 (Latin: Palatinatus Posnaniensis, Polish: Województwo Poznańskie) was a unit of administrative division and local government in Poland from the 14th century to the Second Partition of Poland in 1793. It was part of the Greater Polish prowincja.

Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts Poznan Poznań (in Polish: Uniwersytet Artystyczny im. Magdaleny Abakanowicz w Poznaniu) is one of the major fine-art academies in Poland. It was founded in 1919 as the State School of Decorative Arts (Pol. Państwowa Szkoła Sztuki Zdobniczej).

The Royal Castle in Poznań (Polish: Zamek Królewski w Poznaniu) dates from 1249 and the reign of Przemysł I. Located in the Polish city of Poznań, it was largely destroyed during the Second World War but has since been partly rebuilt.

Działyński Palace in Poznań, Poland is a Baroque palace built in 1773 - 1776. The building features a rich stucco-decorated interior of its "Red Hall" and a classicist façade decorated with sculptures. The palace serves as one of the locations of Kórnik Library today.

The Polish Theatre in Poznań (Polish: Teatr Polski w Poznaniu lub Teatr Polski w ogrodzie Potockiego w Poznaniu) is a Polish repertory theatre founded in 1875. Is one of the oldest and best-known theatres in Poland.

The Cyprian Norwid Theatre in Jelenia Góra (Polish: Teatr im. Cypriana Kamila Norwida w Jeleniej Górze) is a Polish repertory theatre founded in 1945. The Norwid Theatre in Jelenia Góra has two stages: Main Stage (540 seats) and Studio Stage (100 seats). The theatre is named after Cyprian Norwid. Polish actress and stage director Alina Obidniak was an intendant of the Cyprian Norwid Theatre between 1973 and 1988, as well as in year 2000. Obidniak invited many renowned theatre directors to Jelenia Góra, particularly Krystian Lupa, where he began his directing career with the production of Dainty Shapes and Hairy Apes by Witkacy (1978). She travelled with the theatre's productions across Europe and South America. In 1983, the Cyprian Norwid Theatre co-organised early Festival of Street Theatre in Jelenia Góra.

Wielkopolska Museum of Independence is a museum, a local cultural institution organized by the city of Poznań. The scope of the museum's activities includes collecting and making available collections on the independence uprisings and organic work during the partitions, the period of the Second Republic of Poland, fighting and martyrdom during World War II, as well as protests and opposition activities in the years 1945-1989. Before the name was changed, the museum was known as the Wielkopolska Museum of the Fight for Independence.The Chairman of the Museum Council in the 2016–2020 term is professor Zbigniew Pilarczyk from Adam Mickiewicz University, while the Director is Tomasz Łęcki.The museum is entered in the list of museums kept by the minister in charge of culture and national heritage protection.

Poznań Voivodeship was the name of several former administrative regions (województwo, rendered as voivodeship and usually translated as "province") in Poland, centered on the city of Poznań, although the exact boundaries changed over the years. Poznań Voivodeship was incorporated into the Greater Poland Voivodeship after the Polish local government reforms of 1998.

Poznań (Polish: [ˈpɔznaɲ] (listen)) is a city on the River Warta in west-central Poland, within the Greater Poland region. It is an important academic site, with about 130,000 students and Adam Mickiewicz University, the third largest Polish university. The city serves as the seat of the oldest Polish diocese, now being one of the most populous Catholic archdioceses in the country. The city also hosts the Poznań International Fair – the biggest industrial fair in Poland and one of the largest fairs in Europe. The city's other renowned landmarks include the National Museum, Grand Theatre, Fara Church and the Imperial Castle. Poznań is classified as a Gamma- global city by Globalization and World Cities Research Network. According to several rankings it is one of the most business-friendly cities in Poland. It also ranks highly in safety and healthcare quality. The city of Poznań has also, many times, won the prize awarded by "Superbrands" for a very high quality city brand. In 2012, the Poznań's Art and Business Center "Stary Browar" won a competition organised by National Geographic Traveler and was given the first prize as one of the seven "New Polish Wonders". The official patron saints of Poznań are Saint Peter and Paul of Tarsus, the patrons of the cathedral. Martin of Tours – the patron of the main street Święty Marcin – is also regarded as one of the patron saints of the city.

St. John Cantius School is a high school in Poznań, Poland named after the scholar and theologian St. John Cantius. It was founded in 1920 by Gotthilf Berger, Edward Raczyński and Hipolit Cegielski, in place of the German-language high school previously known as Friedrich Wilhelm Gymnasium, in honor of Frederick III. Between 1853 and the First World War the Polish-German sections of the school were known also as the Real School and the Berger Gymnasium after G. Berger. Some notable alumni include: Florian Marciniak, Władysław Niegolewski, Zbigniew Zakrzewski, Xaver Scharwenka and Zygmunt Gorgolewski. Noted faculty members included Hermann Loew and Karol Libelt.
