The Menier Chocolate Factory is a 180-seat off-West End theatre, which comprises a restaurant, bar and rehearsal rooms. It is located in a former 1870s Menier Chocolate Company factory at 53 Southwark Street, a major street in the London Borough of Southwark, central south London, England, some 2.5 km from the theatrical West End. The theatre stages plays and musicals, live music and stand-up comedy. According to the Evening Standard, it is "one of the most dynamic fringe venues in London".

The Bunker was a fringe theatre in Southwark, London, England, from 2016 to 2020.The theatre was a converted underground car park at 53A Southwark Street, London, and had 110 seats. It opened in October 2016, the first production being Skin a Cat.It was awarded "Fringe Theatre of the Year" in The Stage Awards 2020. Productions at The Bunker that were finalists for The Offies, London's Off West End awards, included Cardboard Citizens (2018, Ensemble); Eyes Closed, Ears Covered (2018: Best supporting male in a play, Lighting Design, Most Promising New Playwright); Box Clever (2020, Best Female Performance), Little Miss Burden (2020, Best new play, Best director). In 2020 the theatre won the Offies People’s Vote Winner for Best Programming Policy and People’s Vote Winner for Best Social Media Presence & Activities, and Chris Somex, its artistic director, was given a Special Award "for his ambitious achievements at the theatre".The theatre closed in March 2020 for redevelopment.

The Bramah Tea and Coffee Museum was a museum in southeast London. It was the world's first museum devoted to the history of tea and coffee, covering 400 years of commercial and social history of two commodities, since their arrival in Europe from Africa and the Far East. The museum was opened by Edward Bramah in 1992, 40 years after he had first had the idea. It was formerly at Butler's Wharf. It then moved to 40 Southwark Street in SE1, very close to London Bridge station and Borough Market. At this location the museum and tearoom would open daily serving coffee and tea. Edward Bramah died aged 76 at Christchurch, Dorset, on 15 January 2008. Despite his illness, Bramah had been working on a book which was to be called Britain's Tea Heritage. The museum closed that year, according to its website for redevelopment or possible relocation, but never reopened.

Triptych Bankside is a mixed-use development in the Bankside area of Southwark in London, United Kingdom. Constructed in 2023, the development by JTRE London comprises two residential towers Triptych East and Triptych West, 15- and 19-story buildings, respectively, and a nine-story office building One Triptych Place. The luxury bronze-coloured steel and glass towers were designed by London architects Squire & Partners. One Triptych Place office tower was fully leased shortly after its completion. Major tenant is Haleon, a British multinational consumer healthcare company which leased over 30,000 sq ft across five floors of the 68,000 sq ft commercial building. Other tenants include television communications company Digital UK (8,000 sq ft), US architectural firm Corgan (4,800 sq ft.), The Quarto Group (9,000 sq ft), indoor bouldering company The Font (7,000 sq ft), as well as independent coffee company 92 Degrees (2,000 sq ft). JTRE London established its new UK Head Office at One Triptych Place by occupying 4,000 sq ft of space on the first floor. In 2024, Art Academy London opened a cultural and educational center in the building. All 169 open plan homes across the two residential towers Triptych East and Triptych West benefit from private terraces and balconies. Apartment sizes range from studios to luxury penthouses and owners can use amenities including a 24-hour concierge and security services, underground parking, residents’ business lounge, workspace facilities, private 14 person screening room, games room, gymnasium and a wellness centre. Together, the buildings offer 169 apartments, over 5600 square metres of offices, and 1350 square metres of retail space. There is also another 1350 square metres available for cultural events. Name of the development is derived from triptych, a set of three associated artistic, literary, or musical works intended to be appreciated together and it pays homage to the developments positioning as neighbour to the Tate Modern art gallery; whose collections include triptychs from many highly acclaimed artists including Francis Bacon, David Hockney and Damien Hirst. It is a flagship development of JTRE London, which was founded in September 2019 by one of Central Europe’s leading property developers JTRE. The project's architecture was awarded numerous prizes including WhatHouse? Awards, UK Property Awards, Evening Standard New Homes Awards and the Housebuilder Awards.

Anchor Terrace is a large symmetrical building on the east side of Southwark Bridge Road in London, situated very close to the River Thames. It was built in 1834, and its original inhabitants were senior employees of the nearby Anchor Brewery, Southwark, which was then owned by Barclay Perkins & Co. Ltd. The building was later used as the brewery's offices. It overlooks the site of the former brewery and is next to the headquarters of the Financial Times. It originally comprised eight residences, and above the door to the centre of the building are written the words "Anchor Terrace". Among the original residents were the brewer John Hoy Waterman and Charles Spurrell (1783–1866), a member of the Spurrell family of Thurgarton, Norfolk, who, along with his brother, James Spurrell (1776–1840), was employed at the Anchor Brewery.It was discovered that Anchor Terrace stands on the site of the original Globe Theatre after part of the foundations were found underneath the car park to its rear. However, as Anchor Terrace itself is a grade II listed building, there may never be a full excavation of the site. The BBC television drama series This Life was partly filmed there. The building was converted into luxury flats in the late 1990s.

The Rose was an Elizabethan theatre. It was the fourth of the public theatres to be built, after The Theatre (1576), the Curtain (1577), and the theatre at Newington Butts (c. 1580?) – and the first of several playhouses to be situated in Bankside, Southwark, in a liberty outside the jurisdiction of the City of London's civic authorities. Its remains were excavated by archaeologists in 1989 and are listed by Historic England as a Scheduled Monument.

The Globe Theatre was a theatre in London associated with William Shakespeare. It was built in 1599 by Shakespeare's playing company, the Lord Chamberlain's Men, on land owned by Thomas Brend and inherited by his son, Nicholas Brend, and grandson, Sir Matthew Brend, and was destroyed by fire on 29 June 1613. A second Globe Theatre was built on the same site by June 1614 and stayed open until the outbreak of the First English Civil War, when the Long Parliament closed all London theatres by ordinance dated 6 September 1642.A modern reconstruction of the Globe, named "Shakespeare's Globe", opened in 1997 approximately 750 feet (230 m) from the site of the original theatre.

The Ceri Hand Gallery was a commercial contemporary art gallery based in London, England. It opened in Liverpool in July 2008 and relocated to 71 Monmouth Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2 in June 2012, later moving to 6 Copperfield Street, London, SE1 in 2013. The gallery closed on 30 April 2014. The gallery was named as one of the Top 500 Galleries in the World by Blouin Artinfo and Modern Painters magazine in 2013. The gallery showed up to ten contemporary art exhibitions per year, providing artists with opportunities to develop their ideas and new bodies of work, in solo and group shows. The exhibitions programme included represented artists alongside emerging and mid-career international artists. The gallery aimed to support artists through publishing, commissioning new work on and off-site, attending art fairs and securing them opportunities at other galleries.

The Sam Wanamaker Playhouse is an indoor theatre forming part of Shakespeare's Globe, along with the Globe Theatre on Bankside, London. Built making use of 17th-century plans for an indoor theatre, the playhouse recalls the layout and style of the Blackfriars Theatre, although it is not an exact reconstruction. Its shell was built during the construction of the Shakespeare's Globe complex, notable for the reconstruction of the open-air Globe Theatre of the same period. The shell was used as a space for education workshops and rehearsals until enough money was raised to complete the playhouse. It opened in January 2014, named after Sam Wanamaker, the leading figure in the Globe's reconstruction.

The Borough Welsh Congregational Chapel (Welsh: Capel-y-Boro) is the mother chapel of the Welsh Congregational church in London, England. It is located at 90 Southwark Bridge Road in Southwark, a district also known as "The Borough". The roots of the congregation date back to 1774. There has been a Welsh chapel on the current site since 1806, although the present building dates from 1870.

Blackwing Studios was an English recording studio, most notable for early Depeche Mode and Yazoo recordings in the early 1980s.
