John J. Pershing Intermediate School 220, is a public middle school located at 4812 Ninth Avenue in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. It was founded in the 1930s, and was named after World War I general John J. Pershing. IS 220 is a magnet school for science-oriented education. It is divided into three "mini schools": the Health & Biomedical School, the School for Architecture & Mathematics and the Academy of Environmental Sciences. Top students in the school had been admitted to school such as Stuyvesant High School The Bronx High School of Science; Brooklyn Technical High School; Midwood High School; and Fiorello H. LaGuardia High SchoolThe school's population is 51% Asian, 42% Hispanic, 6% White and 2% Black. A quarter of the Asian population are new immigrants to the United States.

Maimonides Medical Center is a non-profit, non-sectarian hospital located in Borough Park, in the New York City borough of Brooklyn, in the U.S. state of New York. Maimonides is both a treatment facility and academic medical center with 711 beds, and more than 70 primary care and sub-specialty programs. As of August 1, 2016, Maimonides Medical Center was an adult and pediatric trauma center, and Brooklyn's only pediatric trauma center.

Sunset Park is a 24.5-acre (9.9 ha) public park in the neighborhood of Sunset Park, Brooklyn, New York City, between 41st and 44th Streets and 5th and 7th Avenues. The modern-day park contains a playground, recreation center, and pool. The recreation center and pool comprise the Sunset Play Center, which was designated as both an exterior and interior landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission. The park is operated by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, also known as NYC Parks. The land for the park was acquired from 1891 to 1905. The park initially contained a pond, golf course, rustic shelter, and carousel. These features were removed in 1935–1936 when the current neoclassical/Art Deco style pool was built by Aymar Embury II during a Works Progress Administration project. The swimming pool and play center were renovated from 1983 to 1984.

Eighth Avenue is a major street in Brooklyn, New York City. It was formerly an enclave for Norwegians and Norwegian-Americans, who have recently become a minority in the area among the current residents, which include new immigrant colonies, among them Chinese and Arab-speaking peoples. Parts of it have been colloquially re-christened Little Hong Kong in recognition of these newer communities.The avenue starts at its north at Grand Army Plaza, going through Park Slope for 1 mile (1.6 km). It is interrupted by the Green-Wood Cemetery between 20th and 39th Streets, and after traveling nearly 2 miles (3.2 km) further south through Sunset Park, finally ends at 73rd Street in Bay Ridge.

Bocchino-Dente Memorial Plaza is a 0.853-acre plaza located at the intersection of Fort Hamilton Parkway, 58th Street and 10th Avenue in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn, New York. The neighborhood's streets were laid out in a grid of streets and avenues at the turn of the 20th century while Fort Hamilton Parkway cuts diagonally through the grid on its route between Prospect Park and Bay Ridge. Triangular intersections that were too small to be developed were designated as public plazas, including this one. The plaza adjoins the school yard of Public School 105 The Blythebourne School, which carries the old name of Borough Park. In 1952, local City Councilman Arthur A. Low sponsored legislation to designate this triangle as the Bocchino-Dente Memorial Plaza in honor of local residents John Bocchino and Alfred Dente, who had been killed in the Second World War. The renaming was supported by the local post of the American Legion which carried the name Bocchino-Dente Post 1777. The local law to designate this plaza with this name was enacted on May 15, 1952 after the signature of the mayor of New York.

The Fort Hamilton Parkway station is a local station on the BMT West End Line of the New York City Subway, located in Brooklyn at the intersection of Fort Hamilton Parkway and New Utrecht Avenue, in the neighborhood of Borough Park. It is served by the D train at all times. The station opened in 1916, and had its platforms extended in the 1960s.

Alben Square, also known as Alben Triangle, is located in the Borough Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.

The Ninth Avenue station is a bi-level express station on the BMT West End Line of the New York City Subway, located at the intersection of Ninth Avenue and 39th Street in Brooklyn. Each level has three tracks and two island platforms. The upper level serves the BMT West End Line while the lower level formerly served the BMT Culver Line. Only the upper level is still in service and is served by the D train at all times.

The first Brooklyn Chinatown (simplified Chinese: 布鲁克林华埠; traditional Chinese: 布魯克林華埠; pinyin: bùlǔkèlín huábù), was originally established in the Sunset Park area of the New York City borough of Brooklyn. It is one of the largest and fastest growing ethnic Chinese enclaves outside of Asia, as well as within New York City itself. As this Chinatown is rapidly evolving into an enclave predominantly of Fuzhou immigrants from Fujian Province in China, it is now increasingly common to refer to it as the Little Fuzhou or Fuzhou Town of the Western Hemisphere; as well as the largest Fuzhou enclave of New York City. Brooklyn's Chinese population has grown larger than the original Chinatown area, forming three larger Chinatowns between Sunset Park, Bensonhurst, and Avenue U in Sheepshead Bay. While the foreign-born Chinese population in New York City jumped 35 percent between 2000 and 2013, to 353,000 from about 262,000, the foreign-born Chinese population in Brooklyn increased from 86,000 to 128,000. The newer Brooklyn Chinatowns that evolved are mostly Cantonese speaking and therefore they are sometimes regarded as a Little Hong Kong/Guangdong or Cantonese Town.The 2020 census data from New York City Department of City Planning indicated that Bensonhurst had Brooklyn's largest number of Asian residents, with 46,000, with Central Sunset Park containing 31,400 Asian residents. The Asian population in southern Brooklyn is primarily Chinese-speaking.

The 50th Street station is a local station on the BMT West End Line of the New York City Subway, located at the intersection of 50th Street and New Utrecht Avenue in Borough Park, Brooklyn. It is served by the D train at all times. The station opened in 1916, and had its platforms extended in the 1960s.

The Sunset Park Courthouse is a historic courthouse located at 4201 4th Avenue between 42nd and 43rd Streets, in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. It was built in 1930-31 and was designed by Mortimer Dickerson Metcalfe – the Deputy State Architect under Franklin B. Ware. Metcalfe used the Neoclassical style for the building, which is one of only two courthouses in the city he designed. The limestone-facaded building with Ionic columns has separate facades and entrances for the Municipal Court, on 42nd Street, and the Magistrates Court, on 43rd Street. The two facades are almost identical.The building, which is one of only a handful of historic buildings remaining in the neighborhood, was converted for non-court use in 1962.In 1970 it was the location of the New York City Job Preparation Center, and Community Board 7 also moved into the building at about this time. By 1973 the Sunset Park Senior Citizens Center and other non-profit agencies were located there. A full renovation of the building was completed by Helpern Artitects in 1996, and the New York Police Department moved into the building shortly afterwards, to use as its primary processing center for applicants.The building was designated a New York City Landmark in 2001.

The 45th Street station is a local station on the BMT Fourth Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located at 45th Street and Fourth Avenue in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, it is served by the R train at all times. The N train also stops here during late nights, and some rush-hour W trains stop here in the peak direction. The 45th Street station was constructed as part of the Fourth Avenue Line, which was approved in 1905. Construction on the segment of the line that includes 45th Street started on March 15, 1913, and was completed in 1915. The station opened on September 22, 1915, after the opening of the initial portion of the BMT Fourth Avenue Line to 59th Street. The station's platforms were lengthened in 1926–1927, and again during a renovation in 1968–1970.
