The Groupement de Recherche et d’Etudes en Gestion à HEC Paris (GREGHEC) is a CNRS - HEC Paris joint research laboratory. It is located on the HEC campus in Jouy-en-Josas. GREGHEC is one of the largest joint research laboratories in the fields of economics and management in France.

The Centre de perfectionnement aux affaires de Paris (CPA Paris) is a French private higher technical education establishment created in 1929 by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the name Centre de perfectionnement aux affaires. Its original mission was to pragmatically train business management professionals using new teaching methods, in particular those of Harvard University with the help of Georges Doriot, one of the first French graduates.In 1999, the CPA was integrated into the École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Paris and has been running the “Executive MBA” program since 2002. The CPA is headquartered in Paris but offers its programs in Jouy-en-Josas.Following the model of the CPA Paris, other CPA have been created by chambers of commerce and industry from other regions of France (Lyon, Nice, Toulouse, Lille, etc.). Since 2006, at EM Lyon and Toulouse Business School, joined by CEPI Management for the CCI Grand Lille in 2011, the CPA has delivered an Advanced Management Program (AMP), in order to continue to promote the training of leaders by leaders while benefiting from academic support from Business Schools.In 2002, EMBA HEC obtained accreditation from the Association of MBAs.The CPA Paris delivers a diploma recognized by the State at a Master's degree level.

Jouy-en-Josas (French pronunciation: [ʒwi ɑ̃ ʒozas] ) is a commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France region in Northern France. It is located in the southwestern outer suburbs of Paris, 16.4 km (10.2 mi) from the centre of Paris, on the departmental border with Essonne. Jouy-en-Josas is home to the main campus of HEC School of Management (HEC Paris).

The Plateau de Saclay, also called Silicon Valley Européenne (in English, European Silicon Valley), is located north of Essonne and south-east of Yvelines, 20 km south of Paris. Les Loges-en-Josas (French pronunciation: [le lɔʒ ɑ̃ ʒozas]) is a commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France.

The Petit-Clamart attack, also referred to by its perpetrators as Operation Charlotte Corday after Charlotte Corday, was an assassination attempt organized by Lieutenant-Colonel Jean Bastien-Thiry with the Organisation armée secrète (OAS) that aimed to kill Charles de Gaulle, president of France at the time. The attack was carried out on 22 August 1962. No one was killed and only one person, who was caught in the crossfire, was injured during the attack, which was followed by an intensive investigation led by French authorities. The manhunt ended with almost all participants being caught within a few months. Bastien-Thiry was brought before a military court where he justified his act by claiming that de Gaulle was a tyrant. Bastien-Thiry was sentenced to death and executed by firing squad in the spring of 1963, and remains the last person to be executed by firing squad in France.

Porchefontaine is a neighborhood in the south-east of Versailles, in Yvelines department of France. It was a working class residential area. Since the 1970s, the working class has been replaced by white-collar workers. It features a tiny downtown, two schools, a sports complex, and a green space that is surrounded by the Versailles, Satory, and Meudon woods.
