The Broadcasting House or House of Radio (Greek: Ραδιομέγαρο, romanized: Radiomégaro) is an office and broadcasting installation building in Athens, Greece. It currently houses the Greek state broadcaster, the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation.

The National Centre of Scientific Research "Demokritos" (NRCPS; Greek: Εθνικό Κέντρο Έρευνας Φυσικών Επιστημών (Ε.Κ.Ε.Φ.Ε.) "Δημόκριτος") is a research center in Greece, employing over 1,000 researchers, engineers, technicians and administrative personnel. It focuses on several fields of natural sciences and engineering and hosts laboratory facilities. The facilities cover approximately 150 acres (61 hectares) of land at Aghia Paraskevi, Athens, ten kilometers from the center of the city, on the northern side of Hymettus mountain. The buildings cover an area of approximately 35.000 m2 (8.6 acres). The Centre started its operation in 1959 as an independent division of the public sector under the name Nuclear Research Center "Demokritos", named in honour of the Greek philosopher Democritus. In 1985 it was renamed and given self-governing jurisdiction under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Research and Technology. The original objective of the newly created center was the advancement of nuclear research and technology for peaceful purposes. Today, its activities cover several fields of science and engineering. The NCSR is a self-administered governmental legal entity, under the supervision of the General Secretariat of Research and Technology of the Ministry of Education.

Agia Paraskevi (Greek: Αγία Παρασκευή, Agía Paraskeví) is a suburb and a municipality in the northeastern part of the Athens agglomeration, Greece. It is part of the North Athens regional unit. Agia Paraskevi was named after the main church of the town, which is dedicated to Saint Paraskevi of Rome.

Hestiaea or Hestiaia (Ancient Greek: Ἑστιαία), also known as Histiaea or Histiaia (Ἱστίαια), was a deme of ancient Attica located northeast of Athens, near the modern Tsako, near Cholargos.Very little is known of Hestiaea. According to Strabo its citizens originally founded the homonymous city in the north of the island Euboea; this theory, however, could have arisen in the late period and therefore would be unfounded.

Cholargos (Greek: Χολαργός), also known as Holargos on signage, is a station on Athens Metro Line 3, located 22 metres below Mesogeion Avenue. The station opened on 23 July 2010.

Chalandri (Greek: Χαλάνδρι), also known as Halandri on signage, is a station on Athens Metro Line 3. It opened on 24 July 2004 and served as the original northern terminus for four days, until Doukissis Plakentias opened. The eastbound platform has a mural by Rena Papaspirou, titled Images Through Matter (2010).

Doukissis Plakentias (Greek: Δουκίσσης Πλακεντίας), sometimes known simply as Plakentias, is an Athens Metro and Suburban Railway station situated at the end of Doukissis Plakentias Avenue in Chalandri, a municipality in the regional unit of North Athens, Attica, Greece. It is named after the Duchess of Plaisance, a philhellene who owned much of the land in the part of Attica where the station now stands. The metro station lies underground, while the Suburban Railway station lies within the median strip of the Attiki Odos motorway. The station is located within the administrative boundaries of the municipality of Chalandri near the settlement of Patima. The Transport for Athens-operated bus station allows access to the northeast suburbs of Athens, northern Mesogeia and East Attica. It is also the junction of Motorway 6 and the Hymettus ring road. In addition, it is used by the municipal transport services of Chalandri and Vrilissia. Private car parking, taxi and local bus services are also available.

Glyka Nera (Greek: Γλυκά Νερά, [ɣliˈka neˈra], meaning "sweet waters", named after an underground water source) is a suburb in the northeastern part of Athens Metropolitan Area. Since the 2011 local government reform it belongs to the East Attica regional unit and is part of the municipality Paiania, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 9.238 km2.

Agia Paraskevi (Greek: Αγία Παρασκευή), also known as Aghia Paraskevi on signage, is a station on Athens Metro Line 3. It opened on 30 December 2010, although its construction necessitated disruption of metro services east of Ethniki Amyna.

Nomismatokopio (Greek: Νομισματοκοπείο, Nomismatokopeio) is a station on Athens Metro Line 3. It opened on 2 September 2009.

Holargos (Greek: Χολαργός, also: Cholargos) is a town and a suburb in the Athens urban area, Greece, located northeast of the Athens city proper and about 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) away from Syntagma Square. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Papagou-Cholargos, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 3.950 km2. The main thoroughfare is Mesogeion Avenue, which connects Cholargos with central Athens and the northern beltway Motorway 6. Cholargos was the name of a deme of ancient Attica. The most prominent citizen of ancient Cholargos was Pericles. Cholargos was part of the community of Chalandri until 1933, when it became a separate community. It became a municipality in 1963.
