Cholargos

Nomismatokopio (Greek: Νομισματοκοπείο, Nomismatokopeio) is a station on Athens Metro Line 3. It opened on 2 September 2009.

Papagou (Greek: Παπάγου or Παπάγος Papagos) is a [ suburban town and municipal unit in the eastern part of the Athens agglomeration, Greece. The town is named after Marshal Alexandros Papagos, a general who led the Greek Army in the Second World War and the Greek Civil War, before becoming Prime Minister of Greece. The Greek Ministry of National Defense is located in town. Papagou was part of the municipality of Cholargos until 1965, when it became a separate community. It became a municipality in 1982. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Papagou-Cholargos, of which it is a municipal unit according to the Kallikratis Plan.

Cholargos (Greek: Χολαργός), also known as Holargos on signage, is a station on Athens Metro Line 3, located 22 metres below Mesogeion Avenue. The station opened on 23 July 2010.

GGICO (Arabic: ززيجس) is a rapid transit station on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, UAE.The station is commonly known as Garhoud Station and opened on 15 May 2010.The station is named for GGICO (Gulf General Investment Company), a Dubai Financial Market listed public shareholding company established in 1973. Beyond this station, the metro line goes underground.

Ethniki Amyna (Greek: Εθνική Άμυνα, lit. 'National Defence') is an Athens Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) station with an island platform, situated close to the Ministry of National Defence and the Ministry of Transportation and Communications. When the Metro first opened, it served as the terminal station for all trains to that direction (Syntagma station being the other end of the line at the time).

Hestiaea or Hestiaia (Ancient Greek: Ἑστιαία), also known as Histiaea or Histiaia (Ἱστίαια), was a deme of ancient Attica located northeast of Athens, near the modern Tsako, near Cholargos.Very little is known of Hestiaea. According to Strabo its citizens originally founded the homonymous city in the north of the island Euboea; this theory, however, could have arisen in the late period and therefore would be unfounded.

The Athens General State Hospital "Georgios Gennimatas" founded in 1958 under the name Uniform General Hospital of Athens is a Greek nursing institution based in Athens at 154 Mesogeion Avenue.

Chalandri (Greek: Χαλάνδρι, Ancient Greek: Φλύα, Phlya) is a town and a suburb in the northern part of the Athens agglomeration, Greece. It is a municipality of the Attica region.

Neo Psychiko (Greek: Νέο Ψυχικό) is a town and a suburb in the northeastern part of the Athens agglomeration, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Filothei-Psychiko, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipality has an area of 1.000 km2.

The Ministry of National Defence (Greek: Υπουργείο Εθνικής Άμυνας, abbreviated ΥΠΕΘΑ), is the civilian cabinet organisation responsible for managing the Hellenic Armed Forces, the leader of which is, according to the Constitution (Article 45), the President of the Republic but their administration is exercised only by the Prime Minister and the Government of Greece. It is located at 227-231 Messogion Avenue, in the Papagos camp (Pentagon) in Athens, between Papagos and Holargos. Today is hierarchically ranked 3rd in the rankings of ministries, according to a decision of the Prime Minister (Government Gazette B / 1594 / 25-6-2013). The highest position in the history of the Ministry was the second, behind the ministry of the presidency of the government, on the last government of Andreas Papandreou (1993-1996). It is considered to be a ministry of particular prestige and is one of the most desirable to the members of each government, because it oversees the Armed Forces, manages huge sums of money, and is usually away from the woes and the wear and tear of everyday life. Since June 27 2023, the Minister for National Defence is Nikos Dendias.

The National Centre of Scientific Research "Demokritos" (NRCPS; Greek: Εθνικό Κέντρο Έρευνας Φυσικών Επιστημών (Ε.Κ.Ε.Φ.Ε.) "Δημόκριτος") is a research center in Greece, employing over 1,000 researchers, engineers, technicians and administrative personnel. It focuses on several fields of natural sciences and engineering and hosts laboratory facilities. The facilities cover approximately 150 acres (61 hectares) of land at Aghia Paraskevi, Athens, ten kilometers from the center of the city, on the northern side of Hymettus mountain. The buildings cover an area of approximately 35.000 m2 (8.6 acres). The Centre started its operation in 1959 as an independent division of the public sector under the name Nuclear Research Center "Demokritos", named in honour of the Greek philosopher Democritus. In 1985 it was renamed and given self-governing jurisdiction under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Research and Technology. The original objective of the newly created center was the advancement of nuclear research and technology for peaceful purposes. Today, its activities cover several fields of science and engineering. The NCSR is a self-administered governmental legal entity, under the supervision of the General Secretariat of Research and Technology of the Ministry of Education.

Agia Paraskevi (Greek: Αγία Παρασκευή), also known as Aghia Paraskevi on signage, is a station on Athens Metro Line 3. It opened on 30 December 2010, although its construction necessitated disruption of metro services east of Ethniki Amyna.
