The Raging River is a tributary of the Snoqualmie River in western Washington state in the United States. It is located in the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains in east central King County, Washington. It gets its name from the large amount of water it sometimes carries. The record discharge at the gaging station is over 4,000 cubic feet (110 m3) per second. The Raging is a salmon-bearing river and supports one-fifth of the Snoqualmie River's chinook runs.The river begins in the valley formed by Rattlesnake Ridge to the east and Taylor Mountain to the west in the Raging River State Forest, managed by the Washington Department of Natural Resources. It flows northwest, crossing State Route 18, and then continues north past Tiger Mountain, crossing Interstate 90 near Preston, Washington, and joining the Snoqualmie River near Fall City, Washington. The Raging River watershed is part of the larger Puget Sound drainage basin. The average annual flow in the river is 149 cubic feet (4.2 m3) per second and the drainage area is 32 square miles.

The GNIS classifies it as a populated place.Barneston was established following the construction of a lumber mill in the Cedar River watershed, along with homes for its employees. On June 12, 1901, a post office was built, and the town was named after John G. Barnes who was the secretary and treasurer of the Kent Lumber Company that owned the land.Barneston was distinguished from other logging communities by its relatively large Japanese immigrant population, which comprised about 35 percent of the workforce. The main Japanese camp was located north of town, though Japanese children were schooled with the rest of the Barneston schoolchildren. One of the Japanese lumber mill laborers operated a Japanese style bathhouse for the Japanese community's use.The original post office remained in operation until 1924, when the city of Seattle disallowed all human habitation within the Cedar River watershed in order to keep the water pure.

Several larger companies have taken advantage of Preston's accessibility, such as bottled water company Talking Rain, SanMar, and Platt.

Snoqualmie Casino is a casino in Snoqualmie, Washington owned by the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe. It opened on November 6, 2008. The 170,000 sq ft (16,000 m2) facility hosts 1,700 slots, 54 table games, 5 dining venues, an 11,000 sq ft (1,000 m2) entertainment venue and a sportsbook.

Selleck (founded in 1908) is a former company town in Washington, located at 47°22′33″N 121°52′0″W. As the sole surviving company mill town in King County, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and as a King County landmark.

The Snoqualmie Indian Tribe (S·dukʷalbixʷ), is a federally recognized tribe of Snoqualmie people. They are Coast Salish Native American peoples from the Snoqualmie Valley in east King and Snohomish Counties in Washington state. Other names for the Snoqualmies include Snoqualmu, Snoqualmoo, Snoqualmick, Snoqualamuke, and Snuqualmi.

The Boeing Classic is a professional golf tournament in Washington on the PGA Tour Champions, founded 19 years ago in 2005. The 54-hole event is played annually in late August in Snoqualmie, east of Seattle. It was titled the "Boeing Greater Seattle Classic" for its first two years and Boeing is the main sponsor.

The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge is a private golf club in the northwest United States, located in Snoqualmie, Washington, 25 miles (40 km) east of Seattle, at the foothills of the Cascade Range. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the championship golf course opened in 1999 and was formerly a member of the Tournament Players Club network operated by the PGA Tour. Since 2005, it has hosted the Boeing Classic, a 54-hole PGA Tour Champions event in late August.When the project was initially announced 37 years ago in 1986, the course was to be designed by Rees Jones.The club left the TPC network in 2016 and was renamed "The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge" in December. Arcis Equity of Dallas purchased the course in 2013 from BrightStar Golf Group of Carlsbad, California, who had owned it for five years; the original owner was Quadrant Homes. The course record is 60 (–12), set by Kevin Sutherland in 2018, during the second round of the Boeing Classic on Saturday, August 25. The previous record of 61 was carded by Scott Simpson twelve years earlier, in the second round of the 2006 edition. It was equaled the next day by Tom Jenkins, but both finished one shot out of the playoff, in a five-way tie for third.
