Moss–Johnson Farm, also known as the Johnson Farm, is a historic farm complex located near Hendersonville, Henderson County, North Carolina, United States. The farmhouse was built between 1874 and 1880, and is a rectangular brick dwelling measuring 50 feet by 28 feet. Also on the property are the contributing clapboard summer house (1920), a granary and smokehouse (1880), a well, a barn (1923), a small dwelling (1933), and a hen house and pig barn. After 1970 the property was donated in several gifts to the Henderson County Board of Education for use as a farm museum.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Mills River is located in Transylvania and Henderson counties, North Carolina, United States is a tributary of the French Broad River. The river flows out of the Pisgah Ranger District of the Pisgah National Forest in two forks: the North Fork, which drains the slopes just south of the Blue Ridge Parkway between Asheville and Mount Pisgah, and the South Fork, which drains the area of the Pisgah Ranger District just east of the Cradle of Forestry in America, including the slopes of Black Mountain. The Mills River flows into the French Broad River northwest of Hendersonville between NC 191 and Interstate 26. The North Mills River Recreation Area, located on the North Fork of the river, is a popular local attraction for camping, hiking, and fishing. The Mills River is used as a water source for the cities of Asheville and Hendersonville.

The property includes agricultural outbuildings, agricultural fields and secondary structure, a total of 12 contributing buildings and one other contributing site. They include Rugby Lodge II, the "Big House", the Cottage, the Shanty, Uncle Martin's and Uncle Billy's cabins, the ice house, and several barns.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.The house was the one-time home of a Swedish diplomat named George Westfeldt. He bought the property before the Civil War and named it in honor of Rugby School, an English public school.

It was built about 1860, and is a two-story, granite rubble stone dwelling in the Italianate style. It has a low hipped roof pierced with three interior chimneys and a two-story rear extension. The front facade features a one-bay porch flanked by semi-hexagonal bays.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Clough H. Rice House is a historic home located at Hendersonville, Henderson County, North Carolina. It was built about 1875, and is a two-story, single-pile, frame I-house, with Italianate style design elements. It has a two-story, gable-roofed rear ell. It is sheathed in weatherboard and sits on a rubble masonry foundation.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

Brittain Creek is a stream in Henderson County, North Carolina, in the United States. It is a tributary of Mud Creek. The stream was named for James C. Brittain, a pioneer who settled along the creek. The name of the creek was long misspelled as Britton Creek until a descendant of James C. Brittain successfully appealed to the United States Board on Geographic Names in the 1980s.
