Brittain Creek is a stream in Henderson County, North Carolina, in the United States. It is a tributary of Mud Creek. The stream was named for James C. Brittain, a pioneer who settled along the creek. The name of the creek was long misspelled as Britton Creek until a descendant of James C. Brittain successfully appealed to the United States Board on Geographic Names in the 1980s.

The district encompasses 76 contributing buildings in a predominantly residential section of Hendersonville developed between 1910 and 1945. It includes notable examples of Tudor Revival and Bungalow / American Craftsman residential architecture. The planned community was designed by noted landscape architect Earle Sumner Draper.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The district encompasses 123 contributing buildings in a predominantly residential section of Hendersonville developed between 1905 and 1954. It includes notable examples of Colonial Revival and Bungalow / American Craftsman residential architecture. The oldest house in the Hyman Heights–Mount Royal neighborhood is Killarney (c. 1858).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Oakdale Cemetery is a historic city cemetery and national historic district located at Hendersonville, Henderson County, North Carolina. It was established in 1885, and has approximately 5,400 burials. The property includes the original 1885 white section and 1885 African American section, along with a number of additions made into the 1950s. It includes a section for Agudas Israel Synagogue - Hendersonville's sole Jewish congregation. Historic contributing resources include the cemetery, a frame, octagonal pavilion dating from the turn of the 20th century; a 20th-century, rectangular brick mausoleum with a flat roof and terra cotta coping; a large Neoclassical concrete mausoleum, built in 1951; and a 1950s maintenance building. It includes the Italian marble angel statue which served as the inspiration for Thomas Wolfe's first novel, Look Homeward, Angel (1929).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Erle Stillwell House is a historic home located at Hendersonville, Henderson County, North Carolina. It was built in 1926, and is a two-story, L-plan Tudor Revival style brick dwelling. It has a multi-gable and hip roof with flared gable ends and two brick chimneys with chimney pots. The entrance and sun porch are covered by ribbed copper roofs. It was designed and built by locally prominent architect Erle Stillwell, who built the neighboring Erle Stillwell House II in 1935.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Erle Stillwell House II is a historic home located at Hendersonville, Henderson County, North Carolina. It was built in 1935, and is a one-story, eclectic French Eclectic brick dwelling with some Tudor Revival style design elements. It has a multi-gable and hip roof and a massive brick chimney at the juncture between the main house and the garage wing. The recessed front entry porch features heavy-timbered arches and curved rafters, with a projecting front gable bay. It was designed and built by locally prominent architect Erle Stillwell, who built the neighboring Erle Stillwell House in 1926.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The Waverly, also known as the Anderson Boarding House, is a historic hotel building located at Hendersonville, Henderson County, North Carolina. It was built about 1898, and is a three-story, Queen Anne style frame building. It features a two-tiered sawnwork-trimmed porch and widow's walk. The building was expanded to three stories following a fire about 1910. A one-story frame wing was added about 1940.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
