Monte Gimont

The Mount Chenaillet (in French Mont Chenaillet or Le Chenaillet) is a 2,650 metres high mountain of the Cottian Alps, located on the Main chain of the Alps South of the Col de Montgenèvre.

Claviere is a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Turin in the Italian region of Piedmont, located about 80 kilometres (50 miles) west of the centre of Turin, near the border with France. Cesana Torinese (French Césanne) is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Turin in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) west of Turin, on the border with France. Cesana is a popular winter ski resort, being connected to both Sansicario/Sestriere and Claviere/Montgenevre via chairlifts and gondolas. A run connecting Sagnalonga Monti della luna to Cesana is currently being renovated and will be open from 2022. During the summer, Cesana is a popular holiday destination, famous for its many trekking and alpine lakes in the neighbouring areas.

Cesana Pariol was the venue for bobsleigh, luge and skeleton during the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. The track, built for the games, is located in Cesana. The venue holds approximately 7,130 spectators, of whom 3,624 are seated.

The Clarée is a river in southeastern France, a right tributary to the Durance. It is 31.9 km (19.8 mi) long. Its drainage basin is 189 km2 (73 sq mi). Its source is in the Cottian Alps, near Mont Thabor and Valloire. It flows for all of its course in the Hautes-Alpes department. Its confluence with the Durance is near the hamlet of Les Alberts not far from the source of the Durance in the ski resort of Montgenevre. The upper reaches of the river are in a military exercise range. This is where the French army from their base in Briançon train in the mountains.

Cesana San Sicario, located in Cesana, Italy was a location of a venue for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. The biathlon facility is built for 6,500 spectators. The accommodation is located in Cesana and lies in a large ski area named Via Lattea. It is directly connected to the winter venues in Monginevro and Sestriere. The elevation of this area varies between 1630 and 1680 meters. The course is located near Cesana Pariol where the Winter Olympics's bobsled, luge and skeleton events were held. These venues were built as special venues for the Olympic Games with varying heights and difficulties. The facility is part of Torino Olympic Park, created to manage all of the venues used for the 2006 Winter Olympics.

Sansicario (also spelled San Sicario) is a frazione of the comune of Cesana Torinese (Metropolitan City of Turin) in Piedmont, north-western Italy.It lies at 1,700 m (5,600 feet) in the Val Susa and has a population of 93 people. It is a famous winter tourist resort.At the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics, it hosted the biathlon, luge, skeleton, bobsled, and also the Women's' Downhill and Super-G Alpine skiing races.

Rhuilles is a frazione of the Italian comune of Cesana Torinese (province of Turin), located at 1,675 metres above sea level in the Val Thuras (upper Val di Susa). It is a tiny Alpine hamlet (pop. 4 in 2006) with characteristic grange (ancient agricultural baite in wood and stone). An old communal stone bread oven is to be found and a seventeenth-century chapel with a well-preserved wooden altarpiece.
