Glenville, Delaware

Stanton is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States, near the confluence of the Red Clay and White Clay Creeks. It is located in the southern end of Mill Creek Hundred. It was a distinct census-designated place for the 1990 U.S. Census.

Mill Creek is a 9.6-mile-long (15.4 km) stream principally located in northern New Castle County, Delaware, a tributary of the White Clay Creek. It takes its name from the large number of mills (mostly gristmills and sawmills) located along it during the 18th and early 19th centuries. It originates a short distance over the state line near Kaolin, Pennsylvania and flows east, then south into Delaware. It passes under the Lancaster Pike at Hockessin, where Swift Memorial Park has been laid out along the stream between Old Lancaster Pike and the Wilmington and Western Railroad tracks. Leaving Hockessin, the stream turns slightly to the west, and then sharply towards the southeast to flow through a deep, wooded gorge between suburban developments. Further down the gorge, Mill Creek passes through Limestone Hills Park, and then forms the western boundary of the DelCastle Recreation Area. Continuing south and passing under Limestone Road, the hills on either side diminish in height, and development increases, although the steep sides have protected the creek from direct encroachment. Passing through the neighborhood known as "Milltown", Lindell Park lies along the creek between Milltown Road and Kirkwood Highway. Below Kirkwood Highway, the valley begins to open, and the creek skirts Delaware Park and passes under the Wilmington and Christiana Turnpike just before it empties into the White Clay.

Springer-Cranston House is a historic home located at Marshallton, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in the late-18th century, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, four bay, coursed rubble stone dwelling with a two-story stuccoed stone service wing. It has a Georgian interior floor plan and gable roof. The house is constructed of local Brandywine granite. It was originally a one-story, stone dwelling roughly 24 feet by 18 feet, and subsequently enlarged and modified during the first half of the 19th century. The interior was modernized in the 1940s.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Marshallton United Methodist Church is a historic United Methodist church located at 1105 Stanton Road in Marshallton, New Castle County, Delaware. The original portion was built in 1886 as a one-room, 30-foot by 50-foot center-aisle plan frame structure with a gable roof. It sits on a foundation of "Brandywine Granite", a commonly found local building stone. In 1922, a 30-foot by 45-foot gabled frame addition was added on the east side of the original building. At the same time, Gothic arched commemorative stained glass windows and a bell tower were added. A three-story brick educational building and fellowship hall were added between 1949 and 1957.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Hershey Run is a 2.9-mile-long (4.7 km) stream located in New Castle County, Delaware. It is a tributary of White Clay Creek. It rises on the edge of the Belvedere subdivision on the outskirts of Newport, Delaware and flows southward along the western edge of that town. To the west of the run lies Bread and Cheese Island, cut off by a partly filled back channel between Hershey Run and Red Clay Creek. New Castle County's Pleasant Hills Park lies along the run in the vicinity of the junction with the back channel. At the southern end of the park, the run enters a tidal marsh which extends to its mouth, near the end of the White Clay. The nearby Koppers railroad tie treatment plant heavily contaminated the run with creosote.

The Hale-Byrnes House is a historic home located at 606 Stanton-Christiana Road, Stanton, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in 1750, and is a two-story, five bay brick dwelling. The house was built by Samuel Hale, who sold it to Daniel Byrnes in 1754. The house gained historic stature after the Battle of Cooch's Bridge, the only Revolutionary War battle in Delaware. After the skirmish General George Washington held a council at the house on September 6, 1777.The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.The house is open to the public on the first Wednesday of each month from 12 to 3 PM, and at other times by appointment. The house is also available for rental.

Hickman Blacksmith Shop and House, also known as the Chas. C. Connell Roofing, Gutter, and Siding Co. and Jeffrey and Pamella Seemans House, is a historic home and blacksmith shop located at Marshallton, New Castle County, Delaware. The shop was built about 1899, and is a rectangular, frame, 1+1⁄2-story building on a high stone foundation. The house was built about 1860, and is a side-passage plan, frame, 2-story dwelling on a stone foundation, with Stick trim and modest interior finish.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Silview is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. Silview is located along Delaware Route 4, west of Newport.

William Julius "Judy" Johnson House is a historic home located at Marshallton, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built about 1925, and is a two-story, three bay, rectangular frame dwelling with a one-story front porch. It has a hipped and gable roof with dormer and is reflective of the American Craftsman style. Wavy asbestos siding was added to the home in 1939. Also on the property is a contributing two car garage. It was the home of Hall of Fame baseball player Judy Johnson (ca. 1900–1989), who played in the Negro leagues between 1921 and 1937. Johnson purchased the home in 1934, and resided in it until shortly before his death.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Delcastle Technical High School is a public vocational-technical high school in unincorporated New Castle County, Delaware, near Wilmington, and is the largest of four high schools within the New Castle County Vocational-Technical School District, which includes Howard High School of Technology in Wilmington, Hodgson Vo-Tech High School in Glasgow, and St. Georges Technical High School in St. Georges. It houses the administrative offices of its respective school district.

New Castle County Vocational-Technical School District (NCCVTSD or NCC Vo-Tech) is a public vocational-technical school district serving New Castle County, Delaware. Its headquarters are located at Delcastle Technical High School, in an unincorporated area in the county.Each year, one-fourth of all eighth-grade students attending New Castle County public schools apply for admission to a vo-tech high school. Students who are accepted begin in a ninth grade exploratory program, which exposes them to career options before they elect a specific course of study. They are able to choose to study one of 42 different careers in one of six clusters: Business, Communications, and Computers; Construction Technologies; Health Services; Public and Consumer Services; Science, Energy, and Drafting Technologies; and Transportation.

Marshallton is an unincorporated community in Mill Creek Hundred, New Castle County, Delaware, United States. The community was founded in 1836 and is named for John Marshall, mill owner.
