Silview is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. Silview is located along Delaware Route 4, west of Newport.

New Castle County Vocational-Technical School District (NCCVTSD or NCC Vo-Tech) is a public vocational-technical school district serving New Castle County, Delaware. Its headquarters are located at Delcastle Technical High School, in an unincorporated area in the county.Each year, one-fourth of all eighth-grade students attending New Castle County public schools apply for admission to a vo-tech high school. Students who are accepted begin in a ninth grade exploratory program, which exposes them to career options before they elect a specific course of study. They are able to choose to study one of 42 different careers in one of six clusters: Business, Communications, and Computers; Construction Technologies; Health Services; Public and Consumer Services; Science, Energy, and Drafting Technologies; and Transportation.

Delcastle Technical High School is a public vocational-technical high school in unincorporated New Castle County, Delaware, near Wilmington, and is the largest of four high schools within the New Castle County Vocational-Technical School District, which includes Howard High School of Technology in Wilmington, Hodgson Vo-Tech High School in Glasgow, and St. Georges Technical High School in St. Georges. It houses the administrative offices of its respective school district.

Belvedere is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. Belvedere is at the junction of state routes 62 and 141, north of Newport and south of Prices Corner, 7 miles (11 km) from downtown Wilmington. Belvedere uses the Wilmington ZIP code of 19804.Belvedere is mostly made up of single-family homes and the commercial center is located along Newport Gap Pike. The community is served by the Belvedere Volunteer Fire Company. Police service in Belvedere is provided by the New Castle County Police Department. Students in the community attend public schools in the Red Clay Consolidated School District. Belvedere is near a Delaware Army National Guard armory and the former Wilmington Assembly plant used by General Motors. The community has five churches. The Belvedere State Service Center is located in the community, and is home to the Belvedere Senior Center, an art studio, gymnasium, and a state service center that offers social services.Belvedere was founded in 1908 as a community that housed African Americans who worked in nearby factories. In recent years, the community has seen issues with drugs and crime.DART First State provides bus service to Belvedere, with the Route 9 bus running through the community on its route between Prices Corner and Wilmington. The Wilmington train station is nearby in Wilmington and is served by Amtrak and SEPTA Regional Rail's Wilmington/Newark Line.

Glenville is a ghost town in Delaware, United States, at 39°42′45″N 75°38′24″W. The community consisted of a development on Bread and Cheese Island, on the east bank of the Red Clay Creek near its mouth, just south of Delaware Route 4 near Stanton. Located in the floodplain for Red Clay Creek, the subdivision has always been prone to flooding, such as flooding from Hurricane Floyd in 1999 and Tropical Storm Henri in 2003. After floods caused by Tropical Storm Henri on September 15, 2003, homeowners were bought out by the state and local government, and the community was abandoned in 2004. Demolition began in 2005.

Stanton is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States, near the confluence of the Red Clay and White Clay Creeks. It is located in the southern end of Mill Creek Hundred. It was a distinct census-designated place for the 1990 U.S. Census.

Galloway-Walker House is a historic home located at Newport, New Castle County, Delaware. The original section was built 18th century, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, three-bay, brick dwelling with a gambrel roof. The house was expanded with a frame addition to add a fourth bay in the late-19th century. It is a hall-parlor plan dwelling.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Lewis Weldin House was a historic home located at Newport, New Castle County, Delaware. It was a two-story gable-roofed brick building, seven bays wide. It was built in the late 18th century as a residential/commercial building, and renovated in 1863 by Lewis Weldin to serve as his residence. The building was demolished between 2007 and 2009. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Joseph Killgore House was a historic home located at Newport, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in the second quarter of the 19th century, and was a two-story, three bay, frame dwelling with a gable roof in the saltbox style. It began as a 1+1⁄2-story, hall-parlor plan dwelling and later expanded. It was located next to the Killgore Hall commercial development. The house was demolished about 2000. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Killgore Hall, also known as Wroten's Hardware, was a historic commercial building located at Newport, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in 1883, and was a three-story, three bay by six bay, brick building with a flat roof and overhanging cornice. It has a one-story, one bay extension. A three-story porch spanned the east facade, with Colonial Revival columns and square balusters. It was located next to the Joseph Killgore House. The building was demolished about 2000. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Landenberg Junction is a railroad junction in Elsmere, New Castle County, Delaware. It situated at the southern end of CSX Transportation's Philadelphia Subdivision Wilsmere Yard. The junction is the eastern terminus of the Wilmington and Western Railroad, which originally ran to Landenberg, Pennsylvania. Both lines were formerly owned by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad (B&O).The Wilmington and Western Railroad line ran from the junction at Elsmere to Landenberg, PA until the 1940s when the B&O decided to cut back the line to Southwood and eventually, in the 1950s, to Hockessin. The current Wilmington and Western Railroad operates tourist trains between Greenbank and Hockessin.

Newport is a town in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. It is on the Christina River. It is best known for being the home of colonial inventor Oliver Evans. The population was 1,055 at the 2010 census. Four limited access highways, I-95, I-295, I-495, and Delaware Route 141 intersect within one mile (1.6 km) of the town.
